Given the amount of power that radiates out of Blue Power Battery, and the selfless nature of the Blue Lanterns... I am going to take a guess.

Where was it stated that "anyone" was inside the Blue Lantern Battery ?

We've got the dolphin thing in the green, Parallax was in the yellow, anti-monitor in the black. It's a pattern

The "Dolphin thing" is Ion.

Yeah...I don't think it's necessarilly specific people in the batteries, I remember Geoff saying that there are other entities similar to Ion and Parallax, in that they are embodiments of the various color's power, within the other batteries though.

As odd as it sounds, I'd like Sayd and Ganthet's child to be powering the blue CPB. I mean, they did disappear for a while and Odym is a perfect place to raise a child, what with it being paradise like and all. Surely a newborn Oan would have the power to supercharge a GL ring. Much like how the blue rings are powerless without a GL ring, a child is pretty much lost without a parent to guide them... I think it would be interesting.

That would be interesting, at least moreso than a blue energy being of some sort. I'm very intrigued to see what Johns has in store for these "power battery entities". Perhaps the blue entity is some other character, that we all think is long gone, who embodied hope, and who Ganthet and Sayd used to power their new corps? I have no idea who that might be, it's merely a random thought that popped into my head.

I believe in green lantern #43 we will meet two more entities.

Well we know Sayd and Ganthet left the Guardians because they felt love for one another. We know they wanted to bring hope back to the universe. We know they are being more careful in selecting Blue Lanterns, actually interviewing them for the role like parents would a babysitter... what represents hope more than new life? Plus they are the only Corps trying to work with others and unite parts of the emotional spectrum, would it not make sense they are trying to ensure a better future for their child?

Very much so, your idea makes a lot of sense, my thoughts on the matter weren't an insult to yours, simply an alternative. Though your idea seems much more substantial, and interesting. If it were some random DC character who we all thought was dead, but randomly turns out to be one of these "entities"...the more I think about it, that just seems far too gimmicky. So yeah, your idea definitely fits with how the Blue Lantern Corps was created, and with how they go about doing things.

I actually think that's an entirely brilliant idea. You win.

I've been catching up on Green Lantern Corps, and I noticed in issue 33 that the Zamarons/Star Sapphires have an entity that may or may not be alive in their central power battery too. You may be on to something with the pattern.

Barack Obama fuels the Blue Power battery.

Kidding aside, I doubt all the different Lantern Corps will have some kind of entity powering them, or have an embodiment like Ion or Parallax for whatever emotion they represent in the spectrum. Even though the concept is good, I think just having an exploration by the various Corps of emotions as colors will be enough to tell a story about for now. I like where it is headed, but having an entity for each of them seems like a bit much at this time.

If the different colors in the spectrum stick around after Blackest Night, it could provide some good material for future stories and interactions between each Corps.

Could Hal potentially use the blue ring with his green? I guess cause they said he had no hope. Or any other Lantern like Rayner?

What, like how Anti-Monitor is stuck in the black battery? That's pretty sick and twisted of Sayd and Ganthet to do to their as-yet unmentioned offspring.

What if it's closer to a creche than a prison? As a future Guardian it might be in it's best interests to stay in a safe place until it's able to control it's power as well as the interests of the universe, we saw that Guardian level power unleashed can tear the multiverse as evidenced by the Guardian that sacrificed itself to try kill superboy Prime which only displaced him in the multiverse. That kind of raw power is best kept safe and harnessed in a responsible way by two experienced Guardians uncorrupted by Scar's actions, wouldn't you say?

Blue Lantern leader as godfather. Teaching omnipotent child the morality and ethics the parents lack. Sounds good. Jordan is ideal as he was omnipotent and understands, but lacks the hope needed. Rayner would be even better; once omnipotent and the "torchbearer". Never losing hope. Ganthet going to Rayner once more makes things come full circle in a sort of way.

Blue Power Battery as incubator/baby crib makes sense. It would be fun if their child was the reincarnated guardian that sacrificed himself to get rid of Supes Prime.

So, Ion is in the green, Parallax is in the yellow, Anti-Monitor is in the black. Isn't Larfleeze inside the orange making all the Orange Lanterns by itself? So he would be the entire corps AND the power battery entity at the same time. I'm thinking some sort of Inversion-like or all the blood from the killed Inversions is the red entity. Some sort of bird-like or "mother hen" for the violet entity and a wise-like religious or folklore inspired creature for the indigo.

I like Superbeasts idea, but like Name Already Taken said I think that it's a story for another time.

"Safe and harnessed in a responsible way" says to me they're not thinking of their kid as too much more than a source of power.

Locking your kid away for the betterment of the universe because of something that might someday happen isn't the kind of thing I can picture the good guys doing.

Letting a kid with reality tearing powers run loose isn't the kind of thing I can see the good guys doing. "Safe and harnessed in a responsible way" doesn't exclude a warm and nurturing environment. Of course I've never been in a power battery myself.....
