Something in the Marriage Equality thread has inspired the Cole Porter in me....

Times have changed,
And we've often rewound the clock,
Since the Puritans got a shock,
When they headed to Provencetown.
If today,
Any shock they should try to stem,
'Stead of goin' to Provencetown,
Provencetown would come to them.

In olden days a glimpse of stocking
On a drag queen was something shocking,
But now, God knows,
Anything Goes.

Good authors too who once wrote straighter words,
Are banned on Amazon for their gayer words
Non fiction or prose.... Anything Goes.

The world has gone gay today
And gay's bi today,
And bi's trans today,
When most guys today
That women prize today
Are marrying homos
And though I'm not a great romancer
I'll do ya in the restroom after
From head to toes...
Anything goes....

Add your own lyrics. If, like, you're as bored as I am.

"Up in Heaven's happy portals,

Where the party never stops;

All those debonair immortals,

Do a dance called the Heaven Hop"

*Sigh*

I LOVE "Anything Goes"

Edit: Yes I probably could do the entire song from memory; why do you ask?

My favorite song from Anything Goes is Be Like The Bluebird. Heck, I'll sing it at the drop of a hat, just ask MacQuarrie

I don't really know anything from that musical save the titular song. Which is awesome.

You know... I don't know if it speaks well for me or poorly for me, but....

I had no idea this was from a musical.
I just love that era of song and popular culture.
