Ok who is writing Batgirl?

Fabian says he's not writing it, but apparently Fabian is scheduled to write a Bat title coming out late summer. He could just be saying it to throw us off because it hasn't been announced.

Has anyone heard that Gail Simone might be writing it?

All I've heard concerning Gail is that she has a new book coming up which she describes as something "big." Some have speculated it might be Batgirl, but it's only speculation, as far as I know.

I never liked Cassandra Cain's Batgirl, so I don't care if she gets her own book. But, if anyone could change my mind about the character, it'd be Gail Simone. I honestly hope she is the one writing it.

I think this is almost the same question as "who's going to be Batgirl"? The writer chosen will probably be pretty revealing. Its not really worth DCs time or effort to hire a writer going AGAINST their previous strengths just to fool guessing fans, and the fact that they've been equally as squirrelly revealing writer name as the character kind of supports that.
