i love the story but whenever i read this book i feel very unsatified with the ammount each issue has given me
i feel like this is a 3 or 4 part comic story stretched out
anyone else feel this way?

6 weeks between issues lately. It's the same reason a six issue arc of Astonishing seems long.

Most definitely.

It is interesting to see how many writers are unable to make their ideas really FIT 6 issues, instead of just stretching things out and padding it with pointless action and chase scenes until it winds up being six issues anyway. 'Old Man Logan' could have been done in 4 with ease. There was one issue where they really just drove around.

Astonishing I can't even comment on. Due to the delays (which at some times have been more than 6 weeks, I think) I don't have a clue anymore what it was about. ('Something with a box, right?') Don't even know if the amount of issues fits the story. I'll wait for the trade, as they say.

But with Old Man logan it's more than just delays. There's just not enough real story here to justify 6 issues.

A lot of Old Man Logan is exploring this alternate future and seeing what became of all the heroes and villains. If you're not into that, then yeah I can see how you can feel it's too long. Frankly I'm loving it and the only thing that's bothering me is the delays between issues.

I'm really enjoying Old Man Logan, but I think that its shipping irregularities is whats makeing it seem to drag on forever. Same could be said about Astonishing, but the shipping and the art are making me hate that series now. Im curious to see what happens to the Wolverine book after the Old Man arc. Any ideas?

It's becoming Dark Wolverine and will focus on Dakken.

I thought it was set up well, but grew progressively more and more ridiculous.

So yes.

As long as its a decent story, which it is, and now that we have Jason Aaron writing a regular Wolverine book....I no longer care how long or how delayed it is.

I'm not a big Wolvy fan, but this story grabbed me. I love it!

Doesn't necessarily feel any more padded of a story than most Big Two output from the past several years.

To be fair to Millar this seems to be a general trend in comics now. Writing for the trade.

Old Man Logan is awesome. Not too long for me. I can't wait to see how it ends.....but then I will be sad that it ended.

Does anyone know what McNiven is doing once Old Man Logan wraps up?
