I've heard good things about Deadpool, but I don't want to have to buy up every Deadpool comic ever made. What are some of the better Deadpool stories out there?

If you could, it would be nice to include issue or volume numbers or trade paperback titles.

Cable & Deadpool #1-50 are all great, and are all available in trades. They're by the character's inventor, Fabian Nicieza, and they co-star Cable, GRIMDRKGRITTYEDGY time-traveler with Wade, making for some hilarious awesomeness.

Avoid the current run like it's cold gravy.

I'm just not a fan of Daniel Way, and this run has been disappointing. Deadpool has multiple voices in his head? Bah humbug!

The first three issues were pretty fun, but its been kind of "meh" ever since.

The best run was of course Joe Kelly's run on the book in the 90s.

I would start by tracking down a copy of issue one of the Joe Kelly series from the '90s, and then continuing with Deadpool Classic Vol. 2 (which starts with issue 2 of that series).

You might want to try the two Deadpool limited series, released prior to his first ongoing solo series. Less jokey than the solo series, with no fourth-wall breaking.

Cable and Deadpool all the way. Humor, interesting plots, more humor, and even a nice amount of character development thrown in. Really worth reading.
