You're underestimating the proportion of people on this forum who are over 30. Thus, we no longer get hung up on what other people think. And we don't find stereotypical fanboys any more annoying than people who refuse to write properly.

What if this "worse" fan spends 260 dollars a month on comics.

And the "other" only spends 17 bucks a month.


Wouldn't a larger investment in the industry suggests a deeper investment. Hence, the more hard edged criticism.
