Are there any Superman moments from the comics that, when you read them, trigger the theme music from the SUPERMAN movies?
I tend to hear the SUPERMAN theme in my head whenever I read CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS # 12 and see the Earth-Two Superman facing off against the Anti-Monitor.

In Johns and Busiek's "Up, Up, and Away" (hands down my favorite Superman story) there's the scene where Clark realizes his powers are back and goes to "leap a tall building" for the first time in over a year. Great scene, cue music.

Fun thread!
And well, there are many of those, but the one that comes to my mind right now is in "Superman: Exile", when Superman returns to Earth.
I'll think of more

Superman: Birthright. Kryptonite is being broadcast all over metropolis, and he's weakening fast. A tank with the S sheild is bearing down on him, and a little boy is about to get caught in the crossfire. Supes rips the S off the tank, and uses it as a sheild to protect the kid, while jimmy watches in astonishment.
THAT, my friends, is a theme tune moment.

Pretty much all of All-Star Superman, particularly when Superman flies into the center of the Sun.

End of Millennium Giants, when the two Supermen save earth by expending all of their energies, effectively killing themselves.

Not particularly a comic, but the scene in Justice League Unlimited's final episode "Destroyer", after Darkseid beat Batman, Supes finally cut loose and got him with a barrage of maneuvers and afterwards flew down with his arms folded and said "Had enough?" His speech throughout that whole scene, you could just imagine the theme playing in the background.
Although...after the "Had enough" line, Darkseid blasted him.

Superman & The Legion of Super-Heroes
starts when he's falling to his death then realizes the sun has turned yellow again and shows that he truly IS Superman.

Ha. Good call, BA.
When Superman pushes the Imperiex-infected War World through time, back to the beginning of the universe.

This is an excellent notion since I just watched Superman 2 ...
I'd say when Superman hears Lois calling to him from the "bottled city of Metropolis" and starts fighting back against Brainiac and beating him senseless, kicks his butt all the way to Earth then releases Kandor, all while Supergirl saves the sun from imploding.
Or when Sun Boy wakes up in the Legion arc and Superman "stops" a few feet above the ground in the Legion arc, and Earth-Man gets that telltale look of "oh god, I'm boned" on his face.
The Johns stuff is tailor made for the movie theme though ... even the two Supermen beating on Superboy-Prime could've used the theme (although with lots of spaces for alterations for sad parts).
That's just the classic theme ... I can think of great spots for The Animated Series theme as well ... when Superman first shows up to fight criminals or "lesser villains" before main plots kick into high gear - like Brainiac 5's giant robot in the Legion arc, or a lot of the Atlas fight (until Krypto arrives and the movie theme comes in).
The Animated Theme would work well also for the Kandorians vs. Metallo, Reactron and Brainiac Drone battle in the middle of New Krypton.

Most of the ones mentioned, plus the first day in costume in the Man of Steel mini, and most other flashbacks to his first nights out that bring to mind the montage from the 1st movie. Also when he wrestles Asmodel in JLA #7. Probably a few dozen others...

This is both a hard and an easy question since there are so many to choose.
I'll definitely get back to this one.

Action Comics #775 all of it.
But if I had to pick one moment it would be the speech after the fight to Black.
