Hi, I was wondering what would happen to a comic in a binder, inside the acid-free sleeves WITHOUT a cardboard backing. I want an easy way to store and access my comics, since I often like to take them out and re-read them. I find individually bagging and boarding each to be somewhat annoying when I'm sifting through them again, they always get out of order. I have no plans on ever re-selling them and I'm not sure I can tell the difference between near mint, mint, etc, but I can tell the difference between a comic in bad shape and one in good shape. Is storing them in sleeves without boards going to ruin them quickly? If I keep them in there for 40 years, are they going to just be in awful shape? I'm mostly talking about comics made in the mid or early 90s and 00s, maybe some from 80s. Thanks for any help.

I have more than a few binders with comics in sleeves without boards. Mostly early 90's image stuff they are in great condition. Some of the binders stand up straight on a shelf others lay flat. I haven't noticed much difference between the two or even ones bagged and boarded. Still I'm guessing bagged with a board is a way to go, I just ran out of boards at some point and I still have tons of empty sleeves for binders left.
