I don't know if this has been posted before, i'm new here, so excuse me if so :P
But what are your thoughts on the Old Man Logan story arc? I myself think it's awesome the way they mention old superheroes and what their fates are etc.
And what do you think will happen further on?
SPOILER
Wolverine will probably just have to pull out his claws again :D

The "Old Man Logan" is one great arc of stories.
And i dont even usually like much stories hapening in the future of the characters.( Except Spider-Man 2099,that was also a great book)

I think it's pretty damn good.
Although I've been noticing that on a month to month basis its a very short read so once it's all collected it'll read much better and smoothly.

I second that. (Plans on buying the collected volume).
As for speculation on what's going to happen... well, the cover for the next issue definitely sparks my interest. So... Red Skull as president. And Wolverine's taking him on. This seems like a strange matchup to me. Mainly because I have trouble seeing Wolverine get close enough.
Red Skull's always been more organized than most of the other villains, and the presence of his own SHIELD in the quarter indicates he still is. He doesn't (far as I know) have any longstanding rivalry/grudges with Wolverine, so there's no reason for him to initiate a personal confrontation.
The box of SSS would be a huge help--if he can get away with it. Possible, but tricky, considering his healing factor's sub-par and he was just riddled with bullets. And besides, he'd need other people willing to help to make maximum use out've it. Haven't seen many people like that, especially not in the area.

I'm enjoying it but I still find it ridiculous that he could kill all those X-Men, especially Polaris who controls magnetism, not to mention all the other high level X-Men.

What is even funnier is that Dazzler is the one who survives the longest.
Dazzler
Besides that, I take it for what is: a really entertaining futuristic Wolverine book. I mean, last issue had Wolverine and blind Hawkeye fighting a Venomsarus Rex, with an old Black Bolt coming in to OWN THE HELL OUT OF IT.
Awesome.

Unless he took her out first, Take out her havoc and scott before anyone else can act and the rest would fall easy enough.
I like it but it seems every view of the future has the heros losing indicating everything that they are doing now is for nothing. I would not mind a future story where they are fighting something new in the future or it is a villian making a comeback. Just no more stories post the fall of the heros.

tried the first few issues, didn't like it, which is no surprize, As most of mark millar's comics leave me cold. it's like plastic to me. I feel no emotion reading his comics.it's all action for the sake of action. I can imagine him writing his plots in the pub and asking his mates what would look cool in a comic and them responding and him then putting the stuff in a comic.

Nah, if it's a surprise berzerked Logan than I don't think any of them stand a chance. I'd assume the villains would imagine them in the best order of execution. Dazzler surviving the longest just means she was the least threatening. ;-)

haha I love when Millar writes Wolverine. He always has him go on a mind-controlled killing spree. I'm being serious too. I find this extremely extertaining.

It was Jubillee who lasted the longest. Not Dazzler.

It was Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee not Dazzler that survived the longest. & not because she was least threatening, but because she was personaly trained by Logan & know/seen most of his moves in battle. So knew many of them inside & out & knew when to block, dodge & etc at least for a little that is (like she did in the story)

Love it, a good plot-twist but it would be much more fun if it was the real villans, but then agian the whole story would be meaningless.

Still VERY much of a stretch, at some point Wolverine's "surprise" attack would have to stop being a surprise, and there are plenty of X-Men who could take him down.
Polaris - Controls Magnetism
Husk - Could turn herself to Adamantium
Dust - Killed Wolverine in yet another post apocalyptic future in Young X-Men
Emma Frost - Could mentally stop him
Professor X - Same
Rockslide - At the least couldn't be killed by Wolverine
Iceman - Same as Rockslide, able to reform himself even from being pummeled to bits
Jean Grey - Assuming she's around that's a no brainer
Rogue - Could knock him unconscious if not flat out kill him
Darwin - Dosnt seem like he could be killed by claws
So yeah pretty sure before he got to the end of that list it'd stop being a "surprise attack" :P

not to mention Kurt teleporting him 2 miles straight up and drooping him
Storm frying his ass
gambit sacrificing himself to charge Logan's skeleton
elixir turning everything in his body into cancer

There is no reason to think that the others, or least some of them, weren't being affected by Mysterio too. And would be very stupid to just hope that Logan would waste them all anyway.

I find it highly unlikely that any of the X-Men would actually try to kill one of their closest friends. Most of them probably just aimed-to-wound, hoping to snap him out of it. And any of the other ones he could've taken by surprise.
What is even funnier is that Dazzler is the one who survives the longest.
It wasn't Dazzler, it was Jubilee.
And I think that was just a choice of the writer's for the most emotional impact, given the history between the two characters, and the fact that she was the youngest.

See, whereas Millar may copy elements from other creators, Loeb just rehashes his own stuff for practically every story. And he does it with no tact. Or good writing. Or believable dialogue. But, at least the pictures are always pretty, right?

Loeb is nowhere near as good a writer as Mark Millar. Loeb just writes stupid crap. Mark Millar may have epic/outlandish concepts but theres nothing wrong with that right?

i know that people get on millars back for writing like everything is a big summer blockbuster but dont tell me that everyone wouldnt love the new wolverine film coming out to have the old man logan story, with the visual effects looking and feeling like the iron man film, and the special effects a cross between jurassic park and transformers. how cool would that be.
maybe even keifer sullivan playing logan or hawkeye.
you all know that movie would kisk seven shades of ass
