I just know the basics about green lantern corps and the abilities the ring gives you and I do understand how they would choose Batman but I wonder...

When did that happen? which comic or arc or wathever and what happened with it?
And well while we are at it(and trying not to get too far out of the subject)

What is all that stuff about green, red , black, different color lanterns?

I don't remember a lot of the details about it, so some of this could be wrong, but I believe that it was towards the beginning of Geoff Johns' run on GL. Anyway, Hal Jordan, gave Batman his power ring for a brief time to help Batman come to terms with his parent's death. (The ring made constructs of his parents from his subconscious, or something like that.) It was just one scene, then Batman gave the ring back to Hal.

In an alternate universe, Bruce Wayne inherited a power ring instead of Hal Jordan, and became the Green Lantern for this space sector instead of Batman.

The different color Lanterns are based on the colors of the rainbow: Green, red, violet, blue, indigo, orange, and yellow. Not all of them have been seen yet.

The Sinestro Corp use yellow rings and were founded by Sinestro, once greatest of the Green Lanterns and Hal Jordan's mentor. They are powered by instilling fear in others, instead of willpower, like the green rings. At one point, a yellow ring tried to recruit Batman, but due to his previous exposure to a green power ring and his own strong will, it was unable to control him.

The Red Lanterns are fueled by rage, and led by Atrocious. He seeks revenge on the Guardians of the Universe for a massacre they committed in his space sector before they formed the GL corps.

The violet lanterns are called Star Sapphires, and they are fueled by love. The Guardians of the Universe, founders of the Green Lantern Corps, eschew all emotion. They have counterparts, Zamarons, that they split with long ago that are much more emotion based. However, they want to spread their love through very forceful means.

The Blue Lanterns are fueled by Hope. The abilities of their rings differ from the others. On their own, they are almost useless. They require a green power ring nearby to be able to do anything other than fly and make force fields. However, when there is a green ring, they can charge it to twice its normal power level, and their own rings become strong enough to recharge suns.

The Orange lanterns are fueled by greed. I haven't read the most recent issue, so that's all I know. And that's all there is to tell at the moment.

I'm sure other people will point out things I missed or got wrong.

Thanks for your answer Atman! You tellme a lot about what I wanted to know o.OI

Although I must admit most of my curiosity towrds Batman and a green ring goes towards what could he do with one of them(being they are powered by willl and for me that is one of the most defining qualities of Batman)

One of the issues I believe that was a Tales of the Corps, Scarecrow almost got a yellow ring while in Arkham. That would have been wicked.

That would have been completly awesome. I would have liked to see what he would have done with that. Give him 2 or 3 stories with it before taking it away from him somehow. But I dont think they did...

He might've had the same problems with it that Green Arrow did. No question both GA and Bats have massive quantities of willpower, but as Sinestro patronizingly explained to Ollie, his will is cynical, and thus useless to the ring. I don't think anyone would argue that Bruce is a particularly optimistic guy. To me that's what separates Batman -- whose will is unquestionable -- from guys who actually could wield the ring regularly, like Hal or Superman.

Mmm I see... Oh well its a shame xD, anyways its good that without sayinghe haves lesser will power than other GL he is not as good. That makes other GL have their strength and Batman his.
