We are a group of students from Purdue University that was given the task of creating a more user satisfying digital comic book medium. To help us with our project, we need volunteers to take our survey. The only requirement is that you must at least 18 years old to participate and the survey is completely voluntary. No identifiable data other than AGE and GENDER will be recorded so we will not know who you are. If you choose to participate, you will have to view a short 5-10 minute survey which will consist of viewing several comic book mediums and answering questions on a Likert Scale. You can access the survey at: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~mpetkov/411/testing.html
Thank you so much for your help!

i took the survey, but it seems like all it really wanted to know was if i would buy a motion comic on itunes or not. i actually stopped at the part where it asked which was the most satisfying experience, because all were equally unappealing to me
sorry

I agree.
Nothing beats holding an actual book in your hand.
When it comes to digital comics I hate the ones with motion and sound, trying to be something they're not.

hey guys, ya its legit. Basically this is for a school project but we are working with an actual comic book company. I know a lot of people don't appreciate digital comics, but we really need your input. Thanks

there is a difference between a digital comic and a motion comic. a digital comic is a comic i view on my screen. i do it more and more these days without a problem. motion comics on the other hand are just cheap flash cartoons that i can't see the point in wasting my time watching. it also does not seem like you are open to taking suggestions from surveyors to come up with the best possible product. it sounds like you already have a product in mind and are trying to figure out which demographic to market it to. that's all fine, but i believe your post is misleading and your definitions of what a webcomic is is confusing.

Thank you for all of this insightful information that I already knew. Since we want to see what the user will like by just looking at it, we can not explain at the beginning what each of the comic books are and are not. Also what do you mean by we "are open to taking suggestions from surveyors to come up with the best possible product." If you took the survey you would know that there is a comments section at the end where you can say whatever you like. This is the whole point of the survey to see if the people like it or not.
When the survey is over I will send you a link to our site so you can see that everything you had issues with is addressed. The reason I can not disclose what each comic is and which one is our product is to eliminate bias from the survey.

we have completed our survey and removed it from the link. Thanks to everyone who helped us out!
