So is the Monsters of Hellboy II book officially cancelled? It seems like it hasn't come out anywhere, but someone is selling a copy for 90 dollars on Amazon.com.

They wouldn't answer my message whether is was a preorder type purchase or not.

Maybe it's a review copy or something, before someone decided not to release it.

Well I find this very odd. I looked around and everywhere it's 'out of stock', apart from the WHSmith website (http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSearch/ProductDetails-The+Monsters+of+Hellboy+II+-9781593079659.html) where the availability is described as '1 - 2 weeks' so it seems to exist in some areas of the world. And from waterstones (http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/displayProductDetails.do?sku=6133184) it's 'usually despatched within 2-3 weeks'. And someone seems to be selling it on AbeBooks for $24.95, but they only have a 2-star seller rating. Weird.

No, it's definitely never been available. Some of the sites that update their pages more dilligently say that it was canceled by the publisher. Amazon seems to be an authority on the matter and since their site has no info at all seems to say a lot.

I wonder if review copies were made though. I would be interested in someone with one scanning it all.

It's a shame this book isn't coming out. I was really looking forward to it.
