Ruby is back in the next issue of X-Factor, where did the Ruby appreciation thread go? Is it me or does the X-board have too few pages for the number of topics that come up on here? They get deleted too soon I think. I tried to change the title to something less spoilery but the board wouldnt let me.

I love Ruby! Hope they continue to color her optic blasts starting red and ending in black like they it was done in her debut. Just so she's a little more different from papa.

LOL, not really that way, it would just help Rachel accept her dad and Emma's relationship better. Then Emma can learn that if she stayed in Diamond form for long periods of time she can retard her aging process. Dont want Diamondheart to Look all saggy like she did in the last two issues of Young X-Men, lol Love the Diamondheart nom de guerre.

Also all of Ruby's live experience would be cool for her to become a great leader, which she is in the future duh lol. (I.E. the Summers Rebellion).

Wait I though that his life sucked already and his parents were killed b4 ruby came into the picture, b4 the Summers' Rebellion.

It is the thanks to The Summers' Rebellion that he was freed and mutants started policing themselves after the fall of the Sentinels; creating the X.S.E. or the Xavier Security Enforcers, which Bishop and his sister, Shard later joined.
And Shard's death can only be blamed on her trusting her Ex, Trevor Fitzroy.

I would like to see Jean come back maybe a few more years from now, but without the phoenix force (Leave that to Rachel) and end up with Logan at long last.

It would be perfect, b/c Logan and Jean complete eachother as do Emma and Scott.

Ruby on the other hand is a very ingenious mixture of both Emma and Scott, she's her own thang!

Rachel could have worked better had they made her much more different than her mother even though they had the same powers, examples would be Wolverine and his sister (clone) X-23, and his son Daken, they have similar powers but the characters are different from eachother in character and personality it works even when being on the same book.

Rachel and Jean are total powerhouses.

yeah Ruby would be real annoyed because no doubt in the future jean showed up resurrected a 100 times trying to break scott an emmas marriage up, but could never over power their love. Rachel would just symbolize that.

I still hope for a Logan/Jean hookup, that would be the next logical thing, then all would be well. Till we get their child from the future with Logan's powers but with a telekinetic energy that covers his bones and claws which allow him to cut through anything as well. They would glow red or pink (whatever color is used to portray mind based powers then) and red hair with blue eyes or something.

Then Ruby and He hook up. He would be called Wrath or something.

I think because Longshot is an interesting, enjoyable character who starred in a great story while Peepers is a repulsive, expendable troll. Granted that's just off the top of my head, though.

It is because the forum by default only shows threads that have been active during the last month. You can change this by modifying the "Default Thread Age Cut Off" option in the User CP.

A fast way to find a "large" thread like this is to sort the threads by the number of replies (just click the Replies link above the first thread).

You still have to change the option to include older threads of course. Or alternatively you can change it directly in the URL produced by clicking "Replies".

Rachel only threw a temper tantrum for 2 issues when she found out Madelyn was pregnant. When Nathan was born, she promised to protect him then went to extreme lengths to do so.

Rachel and Ruby have a lot in common. They’d probably be best friends.

Why just a mini-series? Make it an on-going, so we can finally be rid of the ubiquitous Summers family (and genetic/cloned would-be Summers) in the rest of the X-books. The writers must be keeping the Summers family tree as an ever-ready resource to make sure they aren't creating incest when coupling people in their stories.

All these villains are fools, though. They really ought to be experimenting with Storm/Magneto genetic splices.

I like Rachel, but she's just too powerful. And it would be interesting if she were actually Jean and logan's daughter. Seeing Scott's, Emma's, Jean's, Logan's, Ruby's and Rachel's reactions would be pricelss! It would make just that more interesting, and it would open more windows for her characterization, more directions for her developement to take.

For one thing, Rachel was already confirmed as a Summers by a DNA test (made by Sinister). It would also just make her "teenage-girl-who-Logan-has-to-take-care-of #346". And he already has X-23 among the genetically connected to him.

And in anyway, part of the reason she never breaks to A-list is because writers insist in connect her too much to another more popular character. Tie her to Logan would just make it worse.

Also since Emma is really a brunette and the Cuckoos are natural blonds, it would be cool finding out that the Cuckoos were made from both Emma and Xavier's DNA since I think Xavier was blond. It has been said by many telepaths that they are very powerful telepaths themselves....just an idea.

It all depends on the writers. I thought they had gone overboard when they made that many Cuckoos, it should have stayed at just 5, I hope not to hear about the others referenced again. It was too much. I would like for Emma and Xavier being the Cuckoo's progenetors regardles of whether it may make some fans mad, although they would have to have a great writer on board to make it happen, and for fans to love it. Of course not everyone would like it.

You know what yeah, Wolverine has too much on his plate right now, a clone, a psychopath son, plus Erista is still out there. Hope they wait maybe 6 or 7 years before writing anything about Erista (if they eventually do), let Laura and Daken marinate in the fan's minds for a while. Have them develop more.

I hope Ruby lands in good hands (PAD or C&C) if she is brought into the main world as Emma finds out she is pregnant. I don't think that will happen that way though (maybe) lol. It will probably happen as Ruby said, Layla goes back to Earth 616 and tells Emma and Scott who have found out that they're expecting to name the baby Ruby. Then, and only then, should Ruby make her appearance in Earth 616.

She is virtually immortal while in her Ruby form; that would make it possible for her to show up in Earth 616 no matter how much time has passed in her own time and reality. So in fact, I'm hoping she doesn't come back to Earth 616, making possible her conception; at least not until she is already in Emma's womb. Then she can make an appearance in that time and reality, without nullifying her existence in Earth 616.

I'm very glad we can have a little more of her. REALLY HAPPY! :smile: THANKS PAD!!!!

I'm a ruby fan, I never really saw the appeal of Rachel. I think she was always a ripoff of jean, but Ruby (even though she is new) seems different and sassy!

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.

Not so much in story and content, but rather about how Ruby was portrayed and the visuals of her powers.

Well, I guess no one posted a summary after all. I bought a copy my local comic book store after work. Im well satisfied with Ruby's appearance. Didn't like a comment made by her about another character who could make localized blackouts. See, Ruby thought this certain character had gone missing (as if she wasn't aware of that character's powers already. It sort of made Ruby appear unintelligent, a way she is not portrayed in the rest of the story, but then again it was a way for the character's powers to be introduced to ppl who don't know who she was nor what her powers were-I would know, I'm such a geek, lol!). I didnt like the time it takes Ruby to regenerate the power needed to use her force blasts, or that her force blasts were all black in color this time; before they started out black and faded out red with some black on the edges. Put simply, I'm happy with her reappearance in the book. Now I wonder if Greystone, Fixx or Archer will make an appearance in the book? I'm very intrigued about the prospect that will come with The Summers Rebellion being played out in a comic book once and for all. I would like Greystone and the other X.S.E. members playing a role in this story-even if they just show up as background characters.

They Layla special suggested that Scott and Emma were gonna name her something else, something like Sapphire or something that would sound ridiculous when looking at what she looks like.

Ruby rocks that's all that matters. Ya'll are just jealous cuz you aint got her parents as your own. Or her powers.

Rachel move outta the way. I'm glad she's not as uber powerful like cosmo powerful Rachel.

Then again the Phoenix force left Rachel, I wonder what that's all about. Hope it doesn't return to her again. Then I will like her more.

so according to the new issue of x-factor, ruby requires 93 seconds to regenerate after using her eye beams. that kinda brings down their usefulness if she needs that much time between shots. it kinda seems she has weaker versions of her parents' powers, as she already has a crack/scar over her eye too. as far as substances go, i think rubies aren't as hard as diamonds.
