I am just getting into comics I heard Nightwing isnīt in there(Outsiders) any more so my question goes for when he was. Any cool comic arcs you could suggest with him as leader?

outsiders was a pretty fun run by judd winick, Nightwing is the team leader in all the arcs mostly.
I would recommend the first two vols, see if you like it then get the last couple of vols.
If you are looking for some great nightwing stories, most of his 153 issue run is collected and available in tradepaperbacks.
A knight in bludhaven ,The hunt for oracle and freefall are my favourites.

I've just gotten back into comics this past year myself, and collecting Nightwing has become a minor obsession of mine. I recommend an interesting story arc in the JLA series from '02/'03. It starts with issue #69, and runs through #76. Long story short, Nightwing becomes the temporary leader of a 'replacement' JLA. It was a nice surprise when I recently stumbled upon it.

Anyon else remember the awesome issue in nightwing, where nightwing and tobin(tim drake) ride a train blindfolded, while beating up thugs on top of it.
That was one of the best single issues of a comic in years at the time it came out.
It is collected in the love and bullets paperback, The story title of that issue is called the boys.

Well, The Outsiders was godawful, so you'll probably enjoy his brief run as leader of the JLA in The Obsidian Age storyline. He was recently the leader in Titans too, but it's Winnick again and it's awful.

The Outsiders by Winick was a lot of fun. Cool characters, interesting situations, Nightwing really stood out for the entire run. If you're a fan of Nightwing, I definitely think it was worth checking out.

Oh I see. Well thats different than what the others say xD. Could you be more especific about what did you dislike without giving spoilers?(or just very few)

I actually thought Winick's first year or so on Outsiders was pretty good. Nothing especially groundbreaking went down, true, but it was still fairly solid superhero fare. It wasn't until they did the John Walsh/America's Most Wanted storyline that it really went downhill.
I'd recommend reading the first few arcs, but once you hit the issue with John Walsh on the cover, just do yourself a favor and stop. ;)

The first run had a decent premise (being a pro-active superhero team), then dropped it for an even better premise (forced to allow villains to escape from prison, and will now track them all back down) and ultimately ignored them both. And as per usual, we were subjected to more of Winnick's lousy use of sex in stories which reveals his MTV origins in its immaturity and flat out silliness. I gave it 12 issues before dropping it and selling it off on eBay. If you like Nightwing, sadly there's just not much beyond Chuck Dixon.

There's Tomasi. And Nicieza. And Grayson. And Wolfman.

I'm not one to bash creators, but Winick's Outsiders isn't exactly his best work. Too many attempts to be "edgy," and as a big fan of Arsenal and Nightwing, I found those two to be very mishandled.
For good Nightwing stories, the best way to go is with Chuck Dixon, Peter Tomasi, and Fabian Nicieza.

well said brother.
I think Tomasi is a better writer than chuck dixon, The only thing dixon;s run had on tomasi's was the fact that dixon was writing it for years. while tomasi only got to do 13 or so issues. which were all spot on.

Winick's Outsiders was... tolerable, compared to everything else Winick has written (don't bother with his Titans). It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't "OMG this is effing fantastic stuff" either. Regardless, a lot of Winick's signature storytelling "techniques" are pretty prevalent here... for some reason, some people actually enjoy it, but I find it excruciating to read through.
That said, I actually DID enjoy the "Obsidian Age" storyline from JLA, but keep in mind, even though Nightwing fans got the bonus of seeing Dick assume leadership of the Justice League, he's still sharing the spotlight with about 15-20 other characters in the story (the story alternates between the real JLA stranded in the past trying to free Aquaman and the substitute JLA in the present trying to keep things together).
You can't go wrong with the '80s New Teen Titans, though. Unfortunately, only a few key story arcs are collected in anything other than the expensive Archive editions. But the good news is, the individual issues should be fairly easy to come across online (I bought the first volume of NTT for something like $40 on eBay several years ago). This stuff is key Dick Grayson reading.

The numbering is kind of confusing, but here goes:
New Teen Titans vol. I (1980-1985-ish) runs from #1 to #40 or so before it changes its name to Tales of the Teen Titans, and then keeps on going from there until #58 (the series actually does continue beyond #58, but it just starts reprinting stuff from the second NTT volume until its cancellation at #88 or so, which I'm about to get to - so there's really no need to go further than #58). This title was basically DC's powerhouse title in the '80s and was right up there with X-Men in terms of sales and popularity. #39 has Dick Grayson retire as Robin, and #44 has him becoming Nightwing - both are collected in "The Judas Contract" TPB if you want to jump on that!)
New Teen Titans vol. II launched around the time of Tales of the Teen Titans #45 or so, shortly after "The Judas Contract." It goes aaaaall the way up until #130, but if I recall correctly, Nightwing leaves the group around #114 or so. To be honest, the NTT lost most of its steam by the early '90s, so you might be cautious of the last fifty issues or so, although #100 has Nightwing almost getting married to Starfire if that interests you at all.
So, to go back over it, you have:
NTT vol. I/Tales of the Teen Titans #1-58, plus Annuals #1-3
NTT vol. II #1-130, and Annuals #1-11 or so...
The first volume is some of the best stuff you'll find, but the first few years of the second volume are well worth your time as well. If you want to know more about those stories and some of the later volumes that feature Nightwing, http://www.titanstower.com is a great resource and if I remember, has a pretty comprehensive and helpful series index! Good luck and have fun.:-)

I gave Tomasi all the time in the world and after Grayson, Jones and even Wolfman's lackluster return he was a breath of fresh air, but ultimately the book was boring, which may even be a worse sin than being bad. Maybe it was editorial forcing a plot to be dragged out to fit a trade, but his year could have easily fit into 6 issues. Especially that first arc. I won't even get into this nonsense about a man who on other planets as a teenager suddenly finding a thrill in skydiving, him becoming a museum curator and a love interest so bland and boring she should have been called a love "disinterest."

Just let me say that I hope and pray that Fabian Nicieza gets a longer shot at Nightwing because the two are a great fit for one another

Yeah; afraid I have to agree. All except the last issue, which was excellent.

But... the Nightwing book has been cancelled. And the only time Fabian wrote it was for the Ras al Ghul crossover.
