New info from the Brutal Legend portion of E3.

Ozzy is in it, and there's a trailer that starts about 3:52 in,

I wonder if they are going to have his dialogue subtitled.

Ooh. First day buy.

It was a first day buy for me from the first time I heard about it two years ago.

Tim Schafer is partly responsible from several of my all-time favorite games - the first two Monkey Islands, Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fangango - not to mention that his last game, Psychonauts, is an underappreciated masterpiece.

This looks more and more incredible the more I see of it. Definite game of the year potential.

The first trailer I ever saw of this game made me want to buy it.

Now that Dio is in this, I can't help but buy it now.

Luckily, this comes out the day before my birthday. Not that it really makes much of a difference, since I would have bought it immediately regardless.

Now you can see the trailer without all that developer spiel.

I don't get why everybody is interested in the game, it looks like crap and with such an awful actor in it, it seals the deal of not buying it.

There's nothing to get. Not every game is for everyone.

I know why it looks great to me, but I doubt my reasons would mean much to you, so I'll wrap this up by saying have fun playing what you enjoy. It's what gaming's about.

It's created by Tim Schafer. There is nothing else you really need to know to be interested in the game, at least for me. It could be about Barbie and it would still stand a fair chance at being one of the best games out there.

Ever so slightly disappointed that the demo covers the same stuff that was showed at E3, but that is completely and utterly overshadowed by the awesomeness.

I like that it gives you the options to bleep out the swears or cut out the gore. I wonder if they could sell a version that only has those options that wasn't rated M.

Why bother? Just set your preference at the beginning and leave it, there's not much point in creating a version that actually removes the option to choose in favor of one or the other. You can also change the settings at any time in the Options.

I was sold as soon as I heard it was a Tim Schafer game, but the demo helped nail it.

The logistics of releasing multiple versions of the same game with different ratings would likely be a nightmare. How would stores shelves it to highlight the differences? It would likely just confuse the average consumer.

I have no problem with offering gamers the option to turn such features off if those things bother them or they want the youngins to join in or whatever, but if that stuff's in there in any for then the M ratings there to stay and rightfully so.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm all for the swearing and gore and will leave them turned on, though as they say it might be funnier with bleeps.

I was thinking more along the lines of getting them more market penetration. Aren't there still some chains that won't carry M rated games? Or am I thinking AO titles?

PG rated metal? In that version, can I get Miley Cyrus to cover Maiden's "The Number of the Beast?

AO is ucrrnetly PC computer sonly.

So yeah, no a console it goes up to M for Mature. (As AO is Adults Only, the ultiamte bane of the censor board.)

Maiden's music is PG or even U. Profanity, sex and violence references are pretty minor.

Yeah. Foulmouthed as heavy metal rockers may be otherwise, the music itself is usually pretty clean at least profanity wise.
