Cute. I seem to be completely and utterly powerless against dudes with ranged attacks.
Are there instructions to this? My guy seemed to act rather randomly at times.

I did well until I levelled up and gained super agility or something. Then I got my butt handed to me 4 times in a row, and now I'm out of fights until tomorrow.

I think you're meant to get your ass kicked a lot at first, though I notice some low-level fighters have weapons that do like 20-30 points of damage each hit, meaning they must instantly win most battles. How the hell do you get those?

How the hell do you get those?You loose when the frelling thing refuses to draw its magnificent killer axe half of the time. Or when the oppoenent just spams nina stars so you can't even hit him once.

That was the first extra my guy got, also, 'Feline Agility'. I got stomped by someone who had super attack strength, or something. And I only have 3 victories after 2 days, and about 6 losses.
I found out when I challenge a brute with low health points, they usually have a dog with that attacks you 2-3 times each turn.Sometimes, they have two, or a bear. I went up against one that had a dog that immediately started mauling me, so my brute only focused its attacks on the dog, and not on its owner. After my spree of animal cruelty, the battle quickly turned against me.

Something interesting to note, you guys; I think you can sign up someone else's Brute for a tournament. I was watching ParadoxAlley's Brute Cell, and you may have noticed that when you view a Cell, the site will treat you like the owner of the Brute even though you can't have them fight in the Arena unless you enter the password. But you can click on the 'enter the Brute for tournament' button, which I did (just out of curiosity, thinking that it would cause nothing).

If you ask me, that's a minor flaw in the site's design. Of course, it can do no harm if someone else signs up your Brute for a tournament (I think it gets you exp. points), but it would feel kind of weird to have someone else take your Brute into their hands.

I think I have the club but my character refuses to use any weapons he has the majority of the time. It's irritating to see someone wielding a pitchfork and my guy to dumb to pull out any weapon and running in trying to hit him for 5 damage.

Apparently, level isn't everything. In the tournament of today, 'The.Pozzi' of level 43 (!) faced off against Cobis, level 26. Cobis had a bear and completely clobbered The.Pozzi with only a couple of blows. The finishing blow was a hit with a hammer that took away half of Pozzi's HP.

My 4th time I entered a tournament, I think... and I defeated 3 opponents! It was only two in the previous tournie. It wasn't as impressive as last time however, as I only defeated folks who had lower power level than I have, and I was defeated by a level 4. Oh, well.

Indeed it is. I think that's about as far as I've gotten also, 3 rounds. There's what...16? Yeah, don't see myself pulling out a tourney win anytime soon.

Though I did find out today you can keep a bear trapped by using the terrible net. As long as my brute doesn't hit it afterwards.
