Batman Arkham Aylum Question?

I had a quik question about this story. I like to collect 1st prints all the time so I just wanted to know which one of these two came out first. And is there single comics of these?

Also whats the difference between the two?

And is the story Good in your opinion?

The hardcover and softcover were both released in the same year.
And they'd both be first prints, of course. The hardcover was probably released first.

This was an original graphic novel, and was never released as floppies, and it is quite excellent.
Of course, the recent anniversary edition has more material in it. If you're into comics because you like comics instead of collectibles, that one'd be the better buy.

Also, the first printing reportedly had a tendency to fall apart easily, have pages disconnect from the book. Which Morrison suggested helped sell more copies (it was, for awhile at least, the best-selling English-language original graphic novel(la)).
