Hi guys,
I was just thinking to myself about what my favorite or most memorable hellboy universe pages have been, taking into account only story pages
i thought it would be interesting to hear from other fans what they found to be the most memorable or favorite pages
So without further ado ... i welcome all to post what 3 of their favorite or most memorable pages are:
Mine are...
1) Hellboy pancakes, page #2
2) BPRD plague of frogs, Johann Krauss inhabits a dead dogs body
3) Hellboy Box full of Evil, the page with "is that a monkey?" ... "hes got a gun!"
(and try not to copy other peoples choices!)

Off the top of my head:
1. The pages in Wake the Devil where Hellboy crashes through the Nazi castle and is stunned and says "na...na...NAZI!" and that Nazi jumps through a window.
2. The page in The Island where HB says "Don't mess with me lady. I've been drinking with skeletons."
3. That one page in that story where HB beat the crap out of a monster.

So many good ones to choose from, but right here right now the page from 'the Corpse' comes to me. When HB tosses the corpse in the grave at the end.
I also love the pages when the lions warn HB in 'Strange Places'. I just love the lions.
But think it is Lobster Johnson in 'the Conqueror Worm' that take the price. That assault on the castle in the beginning. 'Here's the claw!'

All of the pages from The Corpse and The Wolves of St. August. Art and story perfection.

The watch and gallows page from the Corpse. Best. Page. Ever.
One day, P. Craig Russell. One day it shall be mine!

I can't remember which one it's from (I want to say Conquerer Worm), where Hellboy's talking to Kate and he says: "Hey, fighting monsters is how I keep my girlish physique."
And then for sure one of my top, if not THE top, favourite is from Wake the Devil when Hellboy breaks his horns off. In fact... here it is attached.

I may go with a page from 'the Corpse & the Iron Shoes'. From 'the Corpse' to narrow it down somewhat.
Generally my fave Mignola page should be sporting some of that great timing by means of panelling, elegant & enticing. And onlooking animals, like a cat's face or a robin whistling.
And a wolf. And monsters. Birches. And corpses, very dead 'though so seemingly aware of that which the living might still ignore or underestimate.
I will have to report back on it...

I'm going to go with what a lot of other people here have said: The Corpse, particularly the bit where the corpse is crying about his lost arm. So random...
And for some reason I'm constantly being reminded of that flaming skeleton from the same story that says "NO ROOM!" Like when there's no room on the shelf or something
Annnd, I really love the black and white photograph of the guys and baby Hellboy.
