In the proud tradition of "Guess the Classic Cover" and "Guess the Classic Ad," here's a new game, focusing on one of the most important, yet neglected elements of a comic book.
In this game, I will show you a staple extracted from a comic book, and you will have to identify the comic book from which it was taken. I know we've got lots of posters here who are experts in metallurgy and the history of office technology, so this should be fun for everyone.
Here's the first clue. Anyone who can solve it without an additional hint will receive 400 points.

Brother Power, the Geek #3. That missing staple is why this comic was never released: like Yeats (Joe Simon's great uncle) said, the center cannot hold. The second coming of the comic was at hand, yes, but oh...not the third!

I dunno, it's hard to tell for sure from the angle shown, but it appears to be from issue # 12 of SONIC DISRUPTORS, the exciting conclusion to that great Mike Baron series from the 80s.

Sir Tim Drake:
I will show you a staple extracted from a comic book
For vandalising, defacing and devaluing a comicbook you are more than likely to be banned for life. Repent now before it is too late.

Say what you like about it, but Brother Power The Geek will always be known for being full of passionate intensity.

I'm pretty sure it's from a Continuity comic.

That looks like a Marvel staple from late in Jim Shooter's reign, so I'm gonna say New Mutants #41.

good ib: That's not a staple. That's a picture of staple.
