View Full Version : Where is Fell?

Well, we kinda know where Fell is, it's in the limbo between where-ever W Ellis finds the time and Templesmith can get it drawn. Mostly though, I just want to keep this title in the public eye--
if you've not read Fell yet, it's a great title about a police detective in a dirty, dirty part of town; everyone, says Det. Richard Fell, has secrets. Including himself, none of which we, the readership have been especially privy to; but we've seen an honest, intelligent cop take care of those in his jurisdiction, the good and the bad, with tight, intelligent dialogue and moody, evocative art.
there're only perhaps a dozen issues, and with a publishing schedule of 'when-ever', it's pretty easy to catch up; better yet, it's inexpensive to catch up as individual issues have been a mere (sigh) $2, new.
highly recommended reading.
so, uh, where is next issue, eh?
best wishes for excellent reading,
Matt

Yep, I so hope that Ellis takes the time to write more Fell. It's was one of my favorite books when it still came out.

What I'd heard is that Ellis' computer crashed and ate Fell #10. He hasn't mentioned it since. I'm still waiting on the next issues of Fell and Casanova.

The list of Ellis projects I find myself waiting for seems to grow all the time. Planetary 27, Fell, New Universal....

Fell unfortunately doesn't pay the bills for Ellis. Same with Planetary. I've mostly pushed them out of my mind, since they're probably going to be on the backburner for a long time.

I wonder if Anna Mercury or Doctor Sleepless does.

Didn't Ellis sign some kind of big contract with Avatar? If so, I'd say yes.

Planetary's just waiting on Cassaday's schedule to open up, at this point. Fell is amazing. Really hope we see more of it.

A great comic that cheap was just too good to be true.

I will probably just order this on Ben Templesmiths art alone. But it does look fascinating and will pick up the tradre soon.

I'm sure Marvel paid him some bucks to do Astonishing X-men, you have to wonder what the hell happened to that. Or maybe there is an answer out there and I just didn't see it.
I think War-El, whatever his project is, is generally worth waiting for. Though the waits weren't terribly long between his issues of Thunderbolts, I still got antsy for them. Caged Angels was stellar.

There's always Cassanova. Fraction told me that he needs all of the readers that he can get on board so give the next story arc a read. I really love that book and want to see it survive.

Casanova will be back later this year. In what form, from what publisher, I don't know, but it will be back.
Fell will also be back. But yeah, Ellis' computer crash ate it along with Desolation Jones. Sadly for me, the only two Ellis books I was in to.

I try to forget Fell existed and i dont wait for it anymore. It was great art, interesting story i would have paid 3-4 bucks for it.
The ironic funny thing it is the series shouldnt have been cheap, extra side comics works for the creators. Maybe then they would still be making it....
I wont go near Planetery etc despite i really liked Ellis's Authority.
I hate when they dont finish a story or realese it for years.

I also look forward to the next issue of Fell, it's been a long time since the last issue, and Warren told us it'd be out years ago (http://www.warrenellis.com/?p=4515), but the issue was lost in 07 when his computer fried. I haven't heard a whole lot more news since then other than this (http://www.warrenellis.com/?p=7536) back in July.
It's a shame because I'm planning on getting a Snowtown tag Tattoo done on my shoulder when issue 10 releases. I'm not going to mark my flesh until I get another issue though.
I'm wondering what we could do as Fell fans to get Warren and Ben to get another issue out, Whiskey and red Bull could work as a bribe for Warren, but what would work for Ben?
