Sorry, maybe I'm just thick, but it definitely looks like Norms isn't wearing the Iron Patriot armor in DA #3. When the Iron Patriot is talking to Doom above Latveria, there's a couple of panels where Norman is clearly shown standing in front of some monitors.

Just from the looks of it, he can't be in the suit. Then again, I'm not all that familiar with Iron Man tech. Is this some virtual reality thing Norman is in while wearing the suit, i.e., are those monitors in his head? Is the Iron Patriot a robot? Or what?

He is in the armor. The monitors are really there to give us a sense of how Norman perceives the outside world through the armor. They did, and still do that, a lot with Tony in IIM.

Ah, gotcha. I was thinking it was probably something like this, but part of me was wondering whether I was missing a huge, shocking, surprising reveal. Thanks for clearing that up,

Which is a pretty cool aspect of the armor, in my opinion. When I first saw the Iron Patriot teaser image, I remember thinking it was going to be Luke, what with that deal he made with Norman to get Danielle back.
