CBR staffer Kiel Phegley here. I just through I'd drop in to share an interview I posted this morning to my personal blog with Guy Davis. The hook of the feature is his Zombies That Ate The World book from DDP/Humanoids, but he talks about balancing his work between all his passion projects like The Marquis and BPRD, plus he shared some new art with me.

I particularly enjoyed learning more about Guy's plans for The Marquis. I highly recommend it to those who haven't read it. Dark and glorious stuff! It's great that Dark Horse has taken it on.

Excellent Interview.

It's great because I live in Paris now and I was just out looking for comics that might interest me enough to learn French and my wife picked up The Zombies that ate the world, having no idea that I would get so excited. The first book wasn't there so I didn't get it yet, but I thought it was great that in one day I would find out so much about Guy and his Zombies.

Can't wait to read them. In french.

Also, I didn't realize that some Marquis books were already out. Is there a tpb out, or just singles?

Oni Press put out The Marquis initially as a few scattered one-shots and maybe a mini series? I'm not sure of the exact format of those first issues because I have a limited hardcover that Oni put out a few years ago. In any event, the first Dark Horse volume reprints all that stuff with bonus materials, so if you're interested, I'd just wait a few months for that bad boy.

I think all the old Marquis stuff has been collected in the two trades Danse Macabre and Intermezzo.
