This is the first villain that has truly given me the chills in a long, long time....

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o296/justinkos91/LeperMask.jpg

What makes her the stuff of nightmares is not her appearance, but her parts that are very human.

No superpowers, monsters, magic, or gigantic plans for the world....just horrific wounds, physical and mental, that are fueled by the very human emotion of rage.

i took notice of her in the past, but her current run in X-Force has put her on another level. Her pain, hatred, total lack of empathy, and yes, vulnerable parts...have made her a villain that surpasses them all. She broke my heart and terrified me at once.

Apocalypse, Nimrod, and others may have tons of power and influence at their disposal, but none have moved me like the Leper Queen.

Even better...she is a female villain that doesn't rely on playing the hysterical or the vampy seductress.

Give it up for the Leper Queen! A newer villain that i am excited about.

you're right she's extremely scary:eek: , at least since kyle and yost brought her back.
the milligan version on the other hand, I really thougt that people would forget her pretty quickly...x-force seems to bring out the best of all characters involved (minus wolfsbane...).

YES! CBR does not have enough Appreciation Threads! I humbly request that you make a Gazer appreciation thread to go alongside this one.

And Bling!
And Rain Boy.
And then we must celebrate Ozymandias.

I love the LQ. She's evil and ruthless. The end of X-Force#13 is leaving me for more.

Why are you second guessing Iceman?

I liked Leper Queen even in the Milligan run. I thought her story was awesome and sort of touching. She's very creepy and very realistic. I just like all characters all of the time I guess. I'm a sap/ But when they get big and popular, at least I can say "I LIKED THEM FIRST YOU POSER." like every hardcore rocker at the xHAVE HEARTx shows...

Ohhh i didn't know she went back to Milligan.

That's what i get for skipping a decade or so. Still..no regrets!

Joe Kelly's run.

X-Men #70-79

YOU WOULD BE PLEASED.

ANYWAY
Leper Queen

LOVE HER.

Always loved her.

There's no particular reason, she just has one of those designs and motives that are simple but awesome partly because of that. She's not a long lost brother or anything like that and she doesn't blend into the crowd either.

She's a breath of fresh air as far as I'm concerned.

Yes....i like how she is much more subtle than our flashier villains.

i might have to check that out.

LOL it had nothing to do with the Leper Queen, but if you're going to miss out on the 90's you shouldn't have to suffer by missing out on Joe Kelly's run as well. It features controversial characters Marrow and Maggott, but they're done well.

Anyway, I wonder if X-Force will treat us to a ghastly resurrection of LQ's daughter.

Crain or Choi drawing it, singeing off the ends of Goo's bowl cut?? WIN.

Oh! It's time for bed :)

Well....i have heard that the 90s had good parts.....the overall "feel" of the 90s just wasn't for me!
