Hey guys, I'm just wondering what the deal is with The Goon figure. I have saw all the other figures at my local comic store but not The Goon himself. Well, what I'm trying to ask is, is The Goon a hard to find figure? Like, Kriegaffe 10 hard to find or..................Any help????

Good ol Goon can be tricky to find, however, he's nowhere NEAR as rare as Kriegraffe. Here is a store that I have ordered from before, ordered this exact figure, in fact, and got the Goon in a timely manner.

Buy a complete set and you can build your own zombie figure!

Keep an eye on the bay, cheap sets come up now and again, all are good except Joey the Ball.

But Jimm....the Ball has panache!!! Or he did, until he met Charlie Mudd.

Totally agree. I always thought Mezco hit the mark with the Goon series EXCEPT the Joey Ball figure.

Really? I thought the Joey the Ball figure was good enough (Judging from the pictures I've saw). It's not like he's going to be in a lot of poses though.

I was wondering it myself when a year ago I paid 30 bucks for a Goon figure, yet found the rest for like 8 each. It seems to me like Mezco didn't make enough Goon figures per case, and didn't count on a lot of people only wanting to just buy the Goon himself, even though they did the build a zombie thing to make sure everyone bought one of each.

So my guess is he was just the most popular of the action figure series, although I guess Frankie is getting hard to find now too.

The Kriegaffe was just really short packed (I think I heard rumors of one per every other case), finding that figure sucked, I had to pay 40 to get that one only like 6 months after those Hellboy comic figures.

Anyone go so far as to make up 'wish lists'? Here's what I would want if I ran Mezco and could make any Goon figures I wanted:

Series 2
The Goon (fishcanner's uniform)
Buzzard
Dr. Alloy
Vampire (forget his name. the first one that Goon and Frankie light on fire.)

Build a figure: Bruno!!!

Series 3
Goon (deep sea diving suit from The Sea Hag)
the Mudd brothers
Norton

Build a figure: Spider!!!!

Series 4: Return of Labrazio
Labrazio
Nameless zombie priest #2
Harpies

Build a figure: Mr Wicker

And thats my list. Any additions?

Wish list:

Lazlo ( Lazlo is my favourite character other than The Goon.)

Labrazio

Dr. Alloy

Buzzard

Maybe a zombie multi-pack or something, with removable heads, and the "knife to the eye" eyeball ( Like the Build-A-Figure.) or a childhood Goon and Franky two-pack.

Oh, and a build-a-figure Woky!

Kreigaffe is probably one of the coolest figures in recent memory. I remember when those toys came out, I had to hunt REALLY hard to find one. I eventually got one at Suncoast Video (remember that place?) for 9.99.

Goon was packed 2 per case. One with teeth showing, one without.

actually the teeth are showing in both versions. But one is just Goon's overbite, and the other is him gritting his teeth. Also, there were further variants. Goon comes with two sets of hands, one bare, one gloved. One set was attached to his arms, the other hidden in the package. So some variants have the gloves on the figure, some do not.

Man, I hated that Kriegaffe figure. Awkward sculpt, weird head, inarticulate and goofy.

When the Nazi-forehead Von Klempt-with-Hellboy-with-trenchcoat figure was announced, I was in heaven. Snapped it right up.

statuetoys.com gave an e-mail saying The Goon figure was out of stock while its status said "In stock". Looks like I'm not getting one after all........:frown:

Thanks mattman, you've been a big help! Although you don't have to do my deeds and search for me! The genorosity of Hellboy.com and it's forum members!

I like the overbite Goon better than the "Gritted teeth" version, I find that the overbite figure has alot more variety in poses. I don't know why this line ended ( I think?) with all of the excellent sculpting, accessories and how well they function with the zombie. I mean, come on, an axe that fits into the zombie's head and a "knife to the eye" eyeball you would think it would last at least two series'!
