View Full Version : Do we need a "where's this book thread?"

I noticed a lot of threads started where people are asking about books that are running late or are unfinished and not really getting any answers. Which is pretty common with Image (and most indie companies) On one hand it provides a single places for various Image staff, fans and creators to respond to on the other hand a lot of peoples request could get lost in the shuffle.
I'm on the fence so I figure I could get some people's thoughts.

Sounds like a solid idea to me. As you note, several titles have prompted inquiries recently, & for every one of those there are probably a couple of others (Gutsville & Hiding in Time occur to me immediately) that could be the subject of similar questions.

You mean one single thread where every post is just "where's XXX"?
I ... don't really see that working out. Yeah, it's a good idea, but when the individual threads can go days without a response, it would be very easy to just loose the questions.

Yeah I'm probably not going to make a thread. I think it would just get too unwieldily after a while.

curiously, I was just about to post a where is Fell? thread, just to keep the title in front of people!
Sometimes it is interesting to get answers where some comics went.
Like Willingham's Coventry... or Bisette's Tyrant..
As for fell, if I remember right Warren's computer performed sepuku and he had to rewrite lots of crap.

That's cool. Worse case scenario is I might merge a few posts regarding Fell. But I usually do that on request.

This thread is dead by the way. If you want to know about a late book just start a thread about it or contribute to a previous thread. There will not be one "late book" thread. It'd just be a pain to moderate and the general feeling on the board is that a specific thread on a specific book is more likely to generate interest in that book.
