Legacy Virus: What is the reaction?

In recent issues of X-Force, the Legacy Virus has made it's comeback. It is known to cause a mutants powers to to go berserk and kill themselves. In the 90s, we had characters like Revanche, Infectia, Illyana, and Mastermind fall victim to this disease. Dream's End, Pyro fell Victim to it as well. In X-Force, it killed Beautiful Dreamer and Fever Pitch, and the reactions to that were quite huge. Main case in point:

The purpose of this thread is a What if... kind of situation. Basically, pick a mutant and predict how their powers will destroy them basically. Keep in mind, this is in no way a hate thread, but feel free to get creative. I'll start off with an example. Keep in mind, these examples were chosen randomly:

- Polaris: Magnetic powers go beserk, attract all metal around her; out of control magnet basically.
- Warpath: Senses are heightened to extremes, the smallest sound causing him great pain.

PS. You can use any mutant, Pre or Post M-Day too. Just makes things much more exciting.

Even better, their healing factor is out of control, with flesh healing over the claws
and any other opening to the body, including the mouth, eyes, nostrils, etc.

Elixir would cause tumors to sprout out of everyone within a 100 ft radius.

Cannonball's energy wouldnt just shoot out from his legs... it would shoot out in every direction at once. It would break his body apart, and the blast would hurt everyone around him.

Madrox would not be able to stop making dupes. And every dupe he created would have a conflicted personality. All the dupes would start fighting with each other, creating a riot, and hurting anyone in the area.

Anyway Maggott's worms eat anything that gets in their way and overcharges Maggott when they enter his body and he explodes in gory fashion.

Go crazy and say a city or continent, but I can't see the whole planet simply since the scale is a little much, but I could see a skyscraper easy.


Guido turns into a tub of muscle something akin to a four armed octopus.

Siryn can't speak without sonic waves emanating, somethign akin ot Black Bolt.

Hellion falls over dead realizing telekinesis is overdone and shoots himself...erm... ok lemme retry. Maybe something like the disintegration effect from Jean in X3 (yes the movie was an abomination but hte effect looked cool.)

Magneto subconsciously tips the magnetic poles of hte earth casuing catastrophic tsunamis etc.

Storm permanently effects hte earth's weather patterns fo the worse. Maybe casuing an ice age.

That's all I care to postulate on at this time.

As much as I like Jean, I find it very intriguing what would happen if the Leper Queen injects her with the Virus and makes her explode like Beautiful Dreamer.

I'm guessing Iceman would starve to death. Although he's already surpassed absolute zero degrees before, so I would be inclined to believe that he wouldn't have control over his own temperature or surrounding heat gradients (like with Sunfire or during Manifest Destiny), therefore, every time he tries to nurish his body, food would instantly freeze over... Much like how the Mutant X Iceman was, only much more out of control.

His entire composition is confined in one ice crystal molecule, which is pretty much indestructible. However the human aspect of him may still need basic needs... Or at the very least nutrients. Then again sea water has nutrients in it, as does freshwater, so in effect all he has to do is find either, and extract nutrients that way... I'm just phishing for plausibilities, but I can see that happening, seeing that he's been doing a lot of experimentation with his abilities in recent years.

Another way would be for him to freeze to death, but seeing that he's fully in control of his abilities, that's not going to happen. Then there's the opposite, in the case that he disipates into a mist form and is unable to coalesce into a solid form again. Then his molecules would be so dispursed and spread out, that It'd be next to impossible to reform.

- Mystique: Lose control of shifting abilities and eventually becomes like a blank manakin in the end.
- Guido: The smallest things that touch him cause his muscle growth to lose control; gross mess.

The only difference is Yost and Kyle are handling it well
Even if it seems redundant, it's being handled well

Also, Mimic: Sensitive to every mutant on the planet, Mimic powers grow and he is eventually overpowered due to his power increase.

I don't think the Virus would cause him to lose his healing
but overstimulate it, though that's just my assumption...

Dazzler - With her light powers out of control, she'd go blind, and eventually vaporize herself.. That is, if her hightened sensitivity to noise didn't kill he first.

Northstar - With the ability to travel at or beyond the speed of light, he'd probably blink himself out of this reality, and starve himself on the other side, or die from old age from not knowing how to get back to this reality.

- Harpoon: Charging powers are out of control, energies emit from his body. Energies destroy him and everyone else around him, Mutant Massacre style.
