View Full Version : Anyone recognize this Orange Lantern?

Phillip Tan, in his interview with Newsarama, pretty much stated that this OL should "look very familiar" to some fans. I'm not that well versed in the history of the Vega System, so could someone fill me in?

It kind of reminded me of the GL that's made of magma, who was seen as far as I know only in the Origins & Omens backup in Corps last month offering to help Kyle and Guy prime the wall in Oa where Kyle is painting his mural.

But I'm not sure.

My first thought was Tigorr from the Omega Men. If the Orange Lantern is from the Vega system then that fits.

Yeah, my guess is Tigorr's race with six "orange energy" spider-limbs.

I don't get where you guys are seeing Tigorr, it doesn't look like anyone familiar to me at all.

LOL - yeah, over at Newsarama (http://www.newsarama.com/comics/030917-Tan-Orange.html)we can't figure it out either. I thought it looked like Venom :biggrin:

I don't get where you guys are seeing Tigorr, it doesn't look like anyone familiar to me at all.

It looks like he has something of a big moustache like Tigorr does. That and the claw-like hands.

Honestly, though, those are the only things that remind me of Tigorr. The dude's head looks like it's been put through a meat-grinder and has extra mouths where his face should be.

I think he's a little inspired by Carnage, which may be what Phil Tan was referring to.

There's a lot of great potential in this Agent Orange arc to visit the massive amount of DC history in the Vega System, from Starfire and the Tamaraneans, to the Warlords of Okaaria, the Citadel, the Omega Men, the Spider Guild, who were huge back in GLC: Recharge ...

Actually, given the amount of snobby, obnoxious royal types on Starfire's planet, and that they have orange skin and red hair ... I hope to see a scantily clad Tamaran Orange Lantern at some point ... etc ...
