this belongs in the spidey section but its damn good news. i dont understand why they dont allow a downloadble version of their free online comics though

Piracy I'm guessing. The online format is a good idea for characters who can't support their own books like She-Hulk, NYX, etc.. Cut out the printing and distribution costs and it becomes more economical to produce these kinds of books.

This was inevitable from a business point of view: Spider-Girl didn't sell spectacularly in monthly form, but was profitable as trades, so it makes sense to cut out the less-profitable end of things while still producing new material for future print collections. If anything, this should bump sales of the collections, given that those who would normally buy floppies won't have physical copies of the title otherwise.

Glad that ASG fans are getting a reprieve, but at this point, it would be rude not to start wildly speculating what comic books that were sales failures might get a second bite of the apple through digital distribution - or what characters might get a tryout as stars of a completely original digital-exclusive series.
X23 has to be a possibility, I think.
