So I'm bored with my games. I can't imagine I am alone in this. I think we need to list games we liked and have people weigh in with their opinion of a game I may have never heard of but may love. So:

Halo 3: Play a ton but mainly for online play obviously.

Dead Space: My most recent game. Was skeptical in buying this but after some back and fourth got this game and loved it.

Gears 2: I'm obviously a fan of shooter games.

Fable 2: Never really liked RPG's but a few years ago had a roommate that was addicted to Fable. Gave Fable 2 a shot as a rental and enjoyed it but didn't want to buy it. My girlfriend thought the dog thing was cool and gave it too me for Christmas. A decision I am sure she regrets because I was addicted to this game for well over a month racking up all the gamerpoints minus the stupid doll catcher.

Fallout 3: Got this to try another RPG and had heard good things. Really Really enjoyed it. Not sure it had the replayibility that Fable did simply for how long it took and how I could see where each decision would go. I was hoping for the supposed DLC at the end of February to no avail. Anyone seen news?

Bioshock: Great game all around.

NHL 09: You can't really give me game recommendations of this one.

So based on the above any advice? I love getting the cheap old games. I bought Assassins Creed for like 14 bucks and loved it so that is a good example. I want something new that will entice me. I don't think I'd like Oblivion. I think it was the shooter aspect in Fallout that made me enjoy it so much.

Above are my top games on the 360 though. They are games I would not sell.

Help a gamer in need....

The problem with 360 (With this console generation, really.) is we're just not getting as many of those oddball or underdog titles that slip under a lot of gamers' radars, so I probably can't suggest anything you haven't heard of, but I'll throw a few titles out there anyway:

Mass Effect: Since you RPG experiences so far have proven fruitful and you like shooters, Mass Effect seems like a logical next choice if you haven't played it already. Good game with a great story, I just recently beat it myself and enjoyed every minute.

GTA IV: This is just an all around great game that'll keep you occupied for a long time. (I sunk over 60 hours into this game, easily the longest I've ever spent with a game that wasn't an RPG.) The recent Lost and Damned DLC is pretty damn good too.

Crackdown: Basically a GTA-style game without all that messy plot to trouble your little head. You're a supercop. Literally. As your skills build you'll eventually be able to leap 30 feet through the air and pick and throw cars. The city is overrun with warring gangs. Your task is to kill them. That's all the plot you'll get and it's all the plot you need. The game can be kind of short depending upon your patience with/desire for searching out hidden items, but it's an incredibly fun ride while it lasts. Plus, I'm pretty sure you can get it for around $10 these days.

That's about it really.

I've thought about Mass Effect. My friend said it took him like 10 hours to really feel like he was getting comfortable and rolling with the game. Did you feel the same?

I can see that kinda. I played through mass effect and while it was a well done game I just couldnt get into it really. It felt to linear and I didnt really get into the characters alot. Storyline was good but it didnt flow real well. There were side quests and scene's triggered by your actions but it didnt give me a sense of being in this universe since most everything felt empty and only people who interacted with you people directly involved in a quest.

Kind of repetitive. Land on a planet, drive your buggy around some, get out, fight some guys, get back in the buggy, fly to another planet and repeat. Fighting was kinda boring to since I beat it without really using any powers and all the weapons are basically the exact same thing regardless of upgrades, they didnt have any variety aside from rifle, machine fun, pistol and shotgun. All in all it wasnt a bad game, it just didnt grab me.

Some other games on the 360 I liked though were......

1- Dead rising.
Really great action game that had some interesting characters and its cool cause you can play it a couple times and see completely new things each time. Its cool how many damn zombies they got on screen at once to and has alot of neat (most are useless though) weapons and stuff to mess with. Only thing I hated was the timer since first time it saved at a certain point towards the end after getting a little lost and it made it impossible for me to get out before the timer ran out.

2- Condemned 1 and 2.
Its first person but not a real shooter like since you dont get tons of weapons and ammo, you have to conserve it. The ending is a little confusing for part 1 but still a different take on a shooter and has a cool atmosphere.

I've enjoyed the Call of Duty games. Great first person shooter, and I really enjoy online. Plus, NAZI ZOMBIES and a upcoming map pack in the next few days.

Left 4 Dead was fun, especially online. Sad thing is, people became assholes online and if you don't have other friends playing, it's nowhere near as much fun. Gave up on this game a while back.

Dark Sector. Cheap game, but surprisingly fun. Haven't tried online, but the gameplay is not too bad but a tad repetitive.
