i think they were...and still very well may be....pushing this as Jean reborn. Even in recent interviews...people have asked about when Jean Grey is coming back. Every writer's response is to watch the development of our green eyed, red haired messiah baby.

That doesn't seal anything, but no one is irrational for still thinking it is a possibility.

i may be in the minority, but i'd welcome it. If/when Jean returns, it needs to be something fresh. People keep going on about bringing her back without the Phoenix Force...that's already been done before, and was less than spectacular in my opinion. Phoenix has gotta be in there....and if done right it can be good.

So...if Jean is the messiah baby....i am great with that. It doesn't need to be a big secret.

As for Dazzler, what does she really add to Uncanny. Be serious for a moment now. I liked Dazzler when she was in the Australian Outback with the X-Men, but she just isn't cutting it for me now. I never read New Excalibur so I'm unfamiliar with that. The marks can call it Blasphemy, I call it the truth!!!!!

A change in direction which sees Cable back in the present with the X-men, but acting as a mercenary in his free time selectively choosing missions which will help shape the future for the better. Many times his choices confound his fellow X-men and lead to head-butting between Nathan and Scott (as well as with Wolverine and X-Force). That would be fun IMO.

You have to remember too, Wolverine killed Cable's son back in Wolverine 100. While Cable might have forgiven Wolverine, that's just not something you get over easily. Plus anytime these two have met it has been highly confrontational. Check out there meeting in X-Cutioner's song for further details.

Nowhere. It's fanfiction. Chris Claremont intended for Rachel's "father" to be the Phoenix Force and left hints about Scott not being Rachel's father.
