On The Bubble: Cold Case, Without A Trace

Entertainment Weekly's Mike Ausiello is reporting that CBS may cancel long running crime dramas Cold Case and Without A Trace as "They no longer have the type of ratings that justify the massive overhead" The network is considering counter measures such as salary freezes and pay cuts.

For the record Cold Case pulled a 7.9 in the ratings last night, while a rerun Without A Trace managed a 6.

Compare these numbers to ratings of shows that a certain other network *coughNBCcough* is renewing.

I really enjoy WAT. Cold Case not so much (and it conflicts with my Fox cartoon block). Anyway, despite liking WAT, I think it might be kind of good for it to go out while still on top (somewhat). Jack has come full circle and seems to be in a much better place. The other characters can move on rather easily.
