Awesome preview. Layla as an adult is something I've wanted to see since the entire Layla/Madrox getting killed on their wedding night by Rahne thing came up.

Probably the best thing PAD has done in quite some time, bringing her in.

Marvel, as the copyright holder, released the first few pages as a preview. That's their right. If Marvel wanted to release the entirety of a book on the web, they can do that, too. AICN simply reproduced the material that Marvel already released. So all this discussion about shutting down AICN is just absurd.

It's wrestling jargon. A face = good guy. A heel = a bad guy. A mark usually refers to the fans who think that wrestling is real.

A mark is a devoted fan, who buys into the business no matter what and believes it can do no wrong... I.e. X-Force can do no wrong in my book... I'll buy each issue no matter what it's greater than water!!!!
But I've twisted the meaning for the purposes of the posts, because there are so many fans out there who complain about the business and the books... but when it comes down to it, they pick up the same book each month and complain about it. They hate every aspect of it, yet they continue to support it. That is a mark. I typically don't come after people but there is one who constantly makes snide comments about my posts.

He didn't hold his own, actually. The powers he had was immunity to the bad guy's powers. He was kryptonite to Isolationist's Superman.

And had they bothered to do things right, I'm sure Nightcrawler or Domino could have gotten into the Purifier's base deeper, faster and better ;)
