In this weeks My Cup o Joe Joe Q hinted at a few possible upcoming crossovers.

The Secret Invasion aftermath has been great, and I'm glad to hear it sets up for the Uncanny X-Men to take on the Avengers.
Any more crossovers like that planned?
JQ: Yes, Steven, we’ve been talking about a couple of other possible smaller-scale crossovers between titles, so you’re likely to see more of this sort of thing as the months go by. We’re not ready to announce anything just yet, but one of them would exist in the world of some of the street-level characters, and another should be happening among a couple of our more critically-acclaimed series.
What books do you think will be crossing over like this? I have a feeling the Andy Diggle's upcoming run on Daredevil could be a part of the street-level crossover, because Diggle is already doing one already with Thunderbolts. What other street level books would crossover like this? I doubt highly Amazing would.
With regards to second one mentioned, Marvel's most critically acclaimed series right now are probably Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America. What with the Larocca "He Lost, They Won" teaser image, Maria Hill searching for cap in Iron Man, and the past partnerships of Fraction and Brubaker, I have a feeling a Cap/Iron Man crossover may be in the works.
If thats the case, I feel the crossover would have two functions. It would probably be a short interruption of Bru's Cap story, to show how Dark Reign affects Cap, while being a part of Fractions long-term plans for Iron Man, a series which currently is one of the main Dark Reign titles.

Well, Paul Cornell did mention that he and Nick Lowe were discussing a possible crossover for Captain Britain & MI13, after NYCC. Whether that will come off or not, who knows. Work began on plotting September's arc in that same get together. It may not happen in 2008.

Street-level characters? Maybe Punisher and Daredevil?
As for the "most acclaimed series", that could mean anything really.
But certainly isn't Iron Man, since the Most Wanted storyline will only end at the end of the year. Maybe X-force vs Thunderbolts? With the upcoming DA vs X-men crossover, I could see this happening.

If crossovers must happen, Captain Britan/MI 13 and Incredible Hercules would be great.

MI13 and any of the avengers teams would be great in my eyes (especially the Dark Avengers)

There's also an X-Men/Dark Avengers thing happening soon. I think its a first time in quite awhile these families of books have crossovered like this. It won't make up for the less than supbar outline of DORK REIGN!

If the book is gonna survive, it's definatly in the best interest of them to do a crossover.

Still not been sold on it, eh, Beast.

I think they should make more of character-focused arcs (Black Lantern, World Most Wanted, Batman RIP) than crossover.
Character focused arc will define the character for a longer term, crossover will mostly boost sales in the short term but in the future we only speak of it for the cool moments.

Sorry. Not a Cornell fan. And the team doesn't interest me.
I'm hoping it gets a crossover to increase sales, for the fans of the book.
Now if they want grab Shadowcat from the Magic Bullet, Kurt from his pointless existance in Uncanny X-Men, and Marvel Girl from Space Limbo... I might give it another look.

Have you tried the book? It's really good. I guess you'de like the old Excalibur back, but you may be missing something special. BTW looks like Meggan is on her way back and Nightcrawler is leaving the X-Men so you never know!

That's unlikely to happen. It's a Marvel Universe title. Like so many books these days nobody is interested in bringing in mutants, any more. They don't sell books purely on their appearance, and this title doesn't deal with mutant affairs.
Captain Britain & MI13 is a Supernatural Espionage book. The character I could see as being any real use out of those three might be Kurt - with his swordsplay skills and his family ties to magic.
A crossover with Secret Warriors or Agents of Atlas would be far more logical.

Well, Meggan is already back involved with this title, yes. We probably won't see her for another few months, but she will BE back.
Nightcrawler though? Check out the one-shot they gave him this week. Well, actually don't. It was pretty awful, and I couldn't recommend it. But check out the thread on the X-Men forum maybe.

I read Cornell's Wisdom mini. Didn't care for it. Don't care for Cornell's work.
Especially Wisdom's crying out Kitty's name. And such nonsense.
It's really good.
I'm glad you guys enjoy it. It's not for me. I'm not a fan of the writer or cast.

I would. Especially with how Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, and Marvel Girl have been treated.
Lamely killed inside of a magic bullet, replaced by some tween, and limbo'd into space.
but you may be missing something special.
I'll take my chances. Again. I keep an eye on the book cause I like Captain Britain.

I had hope for it. Until the complete swerve of nonsense in the Nightcrawler One-Shot.

Aaaaargh just read the write up on the X-Men boards of the Nightcrawler issue. What was the point? I thought Joe Q had stated that Marvel were getting away from inconsequential minis and one-shots for the X-Men characters. £3 for that no thanks.

I really hope that after the Deadpool crossover Thunderbolts can go back to being in its own niche. We're almost 3 issues into the book and Diggle has yet to flesh out the cast.

Of which there has been relatively little, here. There was a dreamscape with her, Maureen Raven and a stuffed and mounted Lockheed in the second arc. But that's about it. He has actually managed to make Wisdom both more likeable and given him far more of a purpose here.

As far as the best written work at Marvel goes, right now, Cornell is very much in that bracket. He's grown a lot as a comics writer this last year. His respectful use of past continuity to enrich the characters in his cast is brilliant. There really is a reason that quite so many people are enthusiastic about this book, Beast. You really aught to give it another try. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Shambolic I agree. But that's just how the X-Men books seem to playing things at the moment. They seem fine to just free-wheel with no purpose.
I'll take my chances. Again. I keep an eye on the book cause I like Captain Britain.
Well, if you like Captain Britain how can you NOT be picking this up? seriously this is the best Brian's been written since the 80s.

the team didn't interest me either, the only one i gave a toss about was Brian, but i decided to give it a shot anyways.
boy am i glad i did as it's currently my FAVORITE comic book! i look forward to it more than any other book each month, and that's saying a lot given that i've never had a favorite comic book that didn't start with an X-
Iron Fist and Daredevil? Maybe add in Cap. America too.
MI13/Doctor Strange
The most logical crossover, if they ever make another Dr Strange title.

and following the crossover we get an ongoing Dr. strange mini written by someone who knows how to write him like Roger Stern. If only....

Well, If Dr. Strange becomes part of the cast for New Avengers again, a crossover with NA and MI13 focusing on magic would be sick. MI13 is such a great book. Remotely detonated vial of holy water to kill vampire mole who was about to be compromised?
Brilliant.
