does anyone else tend to get more than one good idea at a time? If so how do you cope with it?
I've been dealing with this for years now and it's driving me up the wall. And if often can be related or unrelated, for example, I've got four ideas for comic books, two ideas for novels four ideas for costumes and I've lost count on receipies

I've got four ideas for comic books,
Would these be on-going comics, or short series? Have you planned the entire universe for each?
two ideas for novels
Is there a beginning, middle and end for each? Start general then fill in the details. Be fluffy at first, then refine.
four ideas for costumes
This one's easy. sketch 'em and post 'em for critique here.
and I've lost count on receipies
test them on your friends/family. Look at their faces when they taste.

I've been dealing with this for years now and it's driving me up the wall. And if often can be related or unrelated, for example, I've got four ideas for comic books, two ideas for novels four ideas for costumes and I've lost count on receipiesI've got hundreds of ideas for paintings or illustrations. Two books full of sketches and concepts, and 111 folders on my computer for projects in various stages.
I guess it helps to be able to multi-task. I usually work on 4 or 5 paintings at a given time, and so on.
But really, it's no different than any other kind of work. Every job I've ever had, I didn't get to focus on one task and only that task until it was done. Real life just doesn't work that way. So in other words, creativity is work, and without discipline, that work will never be done well.
Also, wouldn't you rather have a whole bunch of ideas than none at all?

Yea, I understand what you're talking about. It happens to me a lot. I get an idea, get excited, start working on something, whatever it may be, and in a day or two I'm on to something else. Like the poster above said it's all about discipline.

I guess it is....would it hurt, at least in the area of the comic books, to fish for feedback as to which would be the better ideas? I"m actually up to five on the comic books now. They all have possiblilities in one way or another.
The one book pretty much takes care of itself anymore but the other isn't as definate. I'm not gonna worry about the costumes until later and my husband relishes the receipie bit (he's carrying around a few extra if you take my meaning)
I am going to need some help, but does anyone have any ideas as to what happened to Mighty Mouse?

A day at a time! That's all we can do. Put your stories/art if you can in a priority... if not, a day an idea at a time.

well, yeah, cause one comic book idea runs along that idea, except as a generational thing, like his kids
(come to think of it knowing what happened to the character himself would help some)

does anyone mind voicing opinions about some of these comic book ideas that I've come up with? I hate to admit this but I'm hopelessly neurotic that anything I create is actually crap.
