SUPERMAN/BATMAN: PUBLIC ENEMIES:
United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a
kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty
on the heads of the Man of Steel and his “partner in crime” Batman.
Super heroes and super villains alike launch a relentless pursuit of
Superman and Batman, who must unite – and recruit super help – to
stave off the action-packed onslaught, stop the asteroid, and uncover
Luthor’s devious plot to take command of far more than North America.
FYI, it's an adaption the first Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuinness storyarc from the ongoing SUPERMAN/BATMAN series.

Thanks Sean I wonder if we are going to get to see Hawkman and Captain Marvel in the movie.

I thought the arc was terrible in comics, mostly because it was such a lame way to resolve the President Luthor storyline. Loeb also ignored lots of continuity and preexisting characterization. BUT, for a DVD flick none of that should matter, so this could be fun. I hope they keep the dueling narration of Batman and Superman.

Neat. This could be a lot of fun.

Is that the one where superman and batman somehow stole Captain Marvel's and hawkman's clothes ?!
I can just imagine Billy Batson & Carter being tied up and gagged in their undies inside a closet room somewhere.

Group fights with Batman and Superman are always such complete rubbish.
Superman can make quick work of whatever is attacking them, yet they are always depicted as fighting side by side.

To be fair, in this story they were attacked by A LOT of people at once, so Bats would have time to take a few out...and I say that as a major Superfan. I'm sure I'll enjoy this dvd, and the GL dvd slated to come out, but does any one know if the Judas Contract dvd is still being made at some point?

Didn't they really remake the judas contract saga for the titans cartoon ?!

Yeah, but that was teeny-boppy innocent Judas Contract. Given the show's target audience, I don't really blame them for dumbing down. But DC's (and Marvel's) animated movies as of late tend to be a bit more hardcore, if a tad more faithful, in execution.
There's one change in the Watchmen film's conflict resolution that I liked, and thought was a bit of an improvement over the comic book. If the Superman/Batman film can change something from Loeb's ending and do it well, then sure, go for it.

Looks good.
Just to see the number of characters on-screen is awesome.

McGuiness' style doesn't work any better for me in animated form than it does on the page. Which is odd, because I would have thought that his exaggerated cartoonish appraoch would translate better.

From MTV:
'Superman/Batman' Animated Sequel In The Works (http://splashpage.mtv.com/2009/10/16/supermanbatman-animated-sequel-in-the-works/#more-23161)
I have enjoyed each and everyone of DC's animated films. I'm looking forward to this. I just wish they would tackle a bigger story like Crisis on Infinite Earths or Blackest Night.
