Wii: Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

The trailer for this game came out just yesterday. Basically, it looks like Umbrella Chronicles except cooler (my only basis for this at the moment is the fact that you can actually see your partner, but still...)!

As for plot, I'm guessing this is just a retelling of Resident Evil 2 what with all the Leon and Claire in the RE2 uniforms and Racoon City stuff.

Yeah, I've read what info there is about this and watched the trailer. I have Umbrella Chronicles, so this game has me definitely intrigued.

Me too. One thing that always bugged me in UC was the fact that you could never see you parter. This game fixes that and looks amazing. The camera has been improved too. I'm looking forward to this game.

RE:CV should be added to the game. It'll be a waste for Darkside Chronicles to be solely based on RE2.

Yeah, this looks to be another light gun rail shooter. It's technically a brand new game although it looks to cover the events of RE2 - much like Umbrella Chronicles covered the events of RE0, RE1, and RE3. Plus I expect there to be some extra story and new areas like Wesker's missions and the final level of Umbrella Chronicles.

I really enjoyed Umbrella Chronicles, and RE2 is still my favorite of the series, so this is a win-win for me.

By the way, for anyone who hasn't realized it yet, that shadow figure on the first box is Krauser. This game will address Leon and Krausers relationship before RE4 in a new scenario.

Though, I would have so much preferred a proper full fledged RE2 remake or something..only reason I'm playing I bought the Wii and play these on-rail shooters is because its Resident Evil.

I always got the impression that the way he was introduced was just there to show that he had a history with Leon.

I don't think it's known yet. But we do know there is a Code Veronica chapter so if they stay at least somewhat true to the game, we should see Chris.

I just find it weird that haven't told it jet, since the addition of Wesker and Chris would maybe rise the sales from those who played RE5

Well, they put in the effort to make an updated version of Chris that looks like his RE5 counter part and the younger him, so I assume he'll be playable.

Also, Damn Krauser looks different. Stilll badass, but not as badass. Also, his face is completely clear. This game will probably explain where he got the huge scare on his face from. Probably from Leon.

to me it just seemed like his back ground story was cut from the game. keep in mind RE4 was rebooted like 3 times before they settled on the final version. it's quite possible they wanted to add more to the story.
