so Mike Carey finds a solution, rogue wont ever again need to physically absorb the powers of others cause she has mystique psyche & powers of morphing and accessing other powers, this way her powers are always changing when the event arises, but im not sure if i like another psyche in rogue's head again.

When Rogue permanently absorbed Ms. Marvel powers, she also absorbed part of her psyche, just like mystique's psyche is now, but Carol layed in a coma for many months, and woke up not knowing who she was until Xavier returned her memories but without any emotional ties to her past life & no longer access to her old powers as ms. marvel. So why hasnt the same effect been done to mystiqueMany months????:confused: That is not how I read Avengers Annual #10.Spiderwoman (Jessica Drew) contacted Charles Xavier within hours of Rogue's incounter to see if he could help Carol recover.

Hopefully, Xavier will be able to purge Mystique's psyche out of Rogue's head.Powers and psyches can be separated.It's happened twice before:Once when Rogue went through the Siege Perilous the other when Blindspot removed Sunfire's psyche from Rogue's head.:biggrin:

Dislike: The Shi'ar involvement

Agreed on the first... on the second... well... I guess they're building up some characters for War of Kings, or something. At least they're starting to get some personality quirks.

I like Scot Eaton's pencils. I do. But why on earth does he try to make all his characters look like their movie counterparts? His Xavier has always looked exactly like Patrick Stewart, and his beast here looks just like Frasier's Beast from X-Men 3.

As in "This is Mystique, I nearly drool at the thought of her - she can take down anyone, Sinister, all the Marauders, she can make Rogue (who I swear is a fav of mine but always has to play second fiddle if Mystique is around) look like a poor loser in her own story arc, she gets to have sex with one of my male favorite characters, now if i can only get Cyclops to sleep with her too, Mystique will have perfected her Mary Sue-dom of my run."

Looks good. I think the Rogue/Raven dynamic would have more tension had it actually mirrored the Danvers incident though... if all that was left of "Mystique" was in Rogue, and not just an unusually strong imprint.

Remy's only likable when not in an arc with Rogue. Sad but true. :/

He was at his best before he ever met her though (Uncanny 266-277).

This man speaks the truth. It's no coincidence that some of Gambit's best stuff, the Nicieza solo, had almost nothing to do with Rogue.

I liked him best when he was helping teenage Storm after she was deaged by Nanny.

He seem kind of cool then. Now...meh

I think that was a new character; a member of a cosmic bounty hunter/salvage crew going after Danger. Don't think it was Lilandra.

What book were you reading, man? Carey's adjectiveless title gave us the most assertive Rogue I've seen in years. Someone I actually believed could lead a team of X-Men.

The only other time in recent memory is when she lost her powers and was living in Valle Soleda; the scene where she beat up those thugs with just her hand to hand skills.

Sure she's back to being a lady in turmoil, but IMHO it's seeing her overcome that time and again and emerge a badass that makes her so great!

I think that it was just basic shapeshifting, like Mystique's powers shifted some of Rogue's mass into the arm so that it would hit harder than usual.

Have to disagree here, granted their relationship has been written badly in the past and completely neglected at other times, when it is written well I think it's when both characters are at their best.
