This is not the "first ever" multi-issue arc in the current Jonah Hex series; the origin story that Palmiotti and Gray told spanned multiple issues.

Anyway, more Cooke is a good thing. Long live Jonah Hex.

The "Origins" story arc was only three issues and, in many ways, each issue was still a stand alone story. I imagine what is being discussed here is what is considered a more "standard" comic book story arc -- i.e. six issues. Which, if true, is a pretty big investment for Hex and the writing team.
