Whereas for me, Moore's is 'V For Vendetta'. Although I adore Promethia.

Kirby - Fantastic Four. You may consider New Gods/Forever People/Mister Miracle his big thing, but he did over 100 issues of Fantastic Four. He also did X-Men and and some amazing stuff on Thor. If only Stan had let him do Ragnarok the way he wanted....
Steve Ditko - Spider-Man.
William Moulton Marsten - Wonder Woman. He may have had some odd quirks, but I love his WW before Kanigher softened her up.
Dave Sim - Cerebus. No sign that he's ever going to be able to equal that epic, on current form.
Phil & Kaja Foglio - Girl Genius. While I love some of the Buck Godot stuff, GG is just amazing, and continually surpasses my expectations.

Heh. Well, the New Gods kinda /is/ Ragnorak the way he wanted. Or at least the day after. Plus, with the Fourth World, we were seeing his pure unadulterated vision.

Yep. I'm also pretty partial to Hitman, as well (as evidenced by the load I just dumped in the Mullets thread).
