Hello everyone.
Sometime lurker first time poster here on YABS.
Just wanted to let everyone who goes to WWChicago know that rooms are now available on the WWTravel site.
I meet a few people from YABS over the years and thought to mention it in case anyone did not know.
Thanks.

Do people, other than creators, travel to the event? I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

The dinner was a big deal, but I did skip out on the show. Come to think of it since I had to work that night I skipped out on the dinner before everyone else. Not that anyone noticed as I wasn't talking much as I'm very shy when I first meet people.

Well, I will be there.
ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com is going to have a booth, and of course who better to sit at it than their resident reviewer of bad sequential art? ^_~

I secured a room awhile ago.
Even though I live in the area I've gotten a room the last few years. I just hate having to drive back and forth to Chicago every day. Plus I'd miss out on the after con stuff with other creators.
This year my wife is tagging along for the fun, which is nice, since I miss her while at cons.

Sure. I drive up from Ohio every year. It's one of the bigger cons in the midwest.

Hey Tom. Any new issues of the comic to look for this year?

I'll be there for my 8th year! There just isn't anything nearly as big in my part of the Midwest.
Hopefully we can get everyone together for a dinner again -- with or without Gail. I really enjoyed meeting some of you last year that I hadn't met before.

Yep, I'll have the whole series newly colored and collected in a trade along with new stories & content.

I had a great time there last year. One of my favorite cons, surprisingly, because the previous time I'd been at a WW con wasn't nearly as friendly.

Hmmm. I've never been to a con before... then again I've hardly stepped outside the state of Texas. I do have a collection of Wizard magazines... Perhaps I should go? *blink*
Doesn't like going places where she doesn't know a soul...

You and Scott being here made it an extra special con for me. My only regret is that you never were able to go into the city. Hopefully we can rectify that in the future.

When are we getting together? I want to make sure I have the night off this time so I can say more than three words this time.

That drive through Chicago really SUCKS! Although, driving on I-94 on the south side of Chicago was easier last year after 2 decades of the highway being rebuilt.

I've never been to the South Side even though I have family there. They visit me I don't vist them. I got lost once and ended up in the West Side and that was scary.

Yeah, I live in the area so that's not a prob for me. It's the money and
someone to go with. I remember seeing a scantly clad Vampirella
model and getting a woody. lol I wonder what's changed in the last 10 yrs...
