View Full Version : Dancing With The Stars: O'Dell, Jewel Withdraw
TMZ reports that Nancy O'Dell and Jewel have withdrawn from Dancing With The Stars due to injuries.
Jewel had suffered a knee injury several weeks ago, and is now said to have fractured both tibias.
O'Dell has suffered a torn meniscus which will require surgery. There has been speculation that Holly Madisonof The Girls Next Door will replace one of the competitors.

not that I've done much, if any of it, but professional dancing is harder than most people realize.
plus, like superheroines, women have it harder than men, having to do it in highheels.

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but lately I've been watching Dancing and Huluing 24.
This season has been a real meat-grinder. Steve f's up his back. Wosciack has a bad foot. Guille separated his shoulder.
I think Melissa would be the favorite but I don't know if she'll have any fanbase to sustain her. Then again, maybe a lot of Bachelor fans watch this show.
Maxim was a douche for calling her a ringer because her background with ballet and cheerleading. As Tony rightly pointed out, Max never had a problem when a Spice Girl was his partner.
I don't know how, but I never realized how unbelievably hot Edyta was until this season. I don't think she's changed all that much, either.
For a glorified concubine, I think Holly Madison is surprisingly likeable.

Last week it was remarked that it's been a long time since Tony has seen a 9. Has it been since Stacy Kiebler in season two?
Denise is far more popular than Paul McCartney's ex, and she managed to hang in there a few weeks. I think both Steves and Holly will go before she does.

I'm not so sure. When Heather Mills was on Dancing, she was still rather well liked. Denise hasn't had much cred for years.

He's had a string of women over 50, and Marissa. I think Marissa may have gotten a 9, but won't swear to it. Most of the time he was gone halfway through the season.
I'm not so sure. When Heather Mills was on Dancing, she was still rather well liked. Denise hasn't had much cred for years. There was some sympathy for Heather in the US because people thought she was getting a raw deal from the British media. It was also inspirational to see the activities one can still engage in even with a disability.
Denise slept with her friend's husband. Her reality series showed her trying to breed pigs in her back yard. I have some sympathy for the fact that Charlie Sheen is a dog, but no one seems to care about that.
I think the dance-off will be between Wozniak and Richards.
Unless they put Steve O in there.

LOL @ Aniston level pity points! That is so true, but yeah we'll see if Melissa can keep up as the weeks go on.

That's the second time Bruno advised Denise to approach her dancing more like acting. Clearly has never seen her act.
Looks like the fans saved Woz again. I was surprised to see Steve O safe as well. He's going to make matters worse if he keeps going.
They just arrested some psycho who was trying to get to Shawn Johnson. He had guns and duct tape in his car.

In week one, I never would have figured that Lil Kim would score the first 10. Of course somebody else has to get a 30 the same night, but still, good for her. Shoutout to her sisters in lockdown!

I'm guessing Woziak. Steve-O didn't even land in the bottom two last time, so he's got people voting for him.
Holly has had weeks to catch up, she just doesn't have it in her to be a dancer.
I'm surprised Shawn didn't show any concern about those landings on the hard surface of the ballroom. Isn't it more likely to blow an ankle or break a foot?

I'm pretty sure with a bit of practice I could throw most of the women around pretty easily, that wouldn't mean I've mastered a dance.

There could be a future problem with the Lindy in that not all contestants may be up to the challenge. I wonder what dances will be left out this year to accomidate the new ones.

This should be Steve O's last week before we have to really take issue with people for voting for him.

Rodeo man is gone, which I figured would happen. Really, I think he should have gone last weekin Lil Kim's place, but I can't take issue with who is in the final.

Ok, well here we are. My prediction is Gilles. My preference is for Melissa. But really, all three are so close. Unless somebody falls over in their last dance, I can't see much to argue about.
