Seriously, it seems like every time i hit the Internet, i have to go there. Even if i don't have something to look for, just to hit the Random button.

Is it ruining your life too?

I'm fortunately the former, which I don't think there's anything wrong with being.

I don't go there all the time, but once there you can literally lose hours.

The only thing I actively dislike about it is the constant "This Troper thinks that..." comments and the "This Troper would like to point out..." rebuttles.

I suppose it's the better that you're a lurker there. Being a page editor sucks a lot more internet time. In fact, if it weren't for that page, I would post a lot more here.

I'm a page editor there, I've made about 20 pages dedicated to obscure and bad movies like "Road House (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RoadHouse)", "Zardoz (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Zardoz)", and "The Star Wars Holiday Special (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheStarWarsHolidaySpecial)". Still, it's fun laying groundwork for others to add to.

Although their "Did Not Do the Research" section and others are sometimes helpful.

God that site is addicting. I've already spent hours upon hours reading every page that interests me, now I spend a lot of time editing.

Those aren't supposed to be there, unfortunately a lot of people don't follow the rules. I try to reword them or outright delete them when I see crap like that.
