This will be my first of hopefully many, MANY posts at CBR. I hang out all over the Internet and while I've been here reading for many years, I have spent lots of time this year in forums and the such everywhere, so allow me to introduce myself:
My name is Jaymes Reed and I run Digital-CAPS (http://www.digital-caps.com/) , my one-man gang of a comic book lettering studio. I've been in business for about 7 years, but it is this year that I feel has been my best and most learned! I'm ready for the big boys now! Well, I'll let you be the judge of that.
I feel my rates are still the lowest out there for the quality -yes, you often get what you pay for- but in this case, you're getting a great deal for awesome quality! I expect my rates to go up near the end of the year, so snag me up while there is still time to have your book(s) lettered by the best up and coming letterer out there and save some money, too!
I look forward to talking to many and any of you throughout the coming months and years in these forums, but don't hesitate to send me a PM or an EMAIL (digitalcaps@gmail.com) today!

If there’s anybody here looking to have their comic book property developed into a line of action figures please contact me. Two things that I require are that the work has been published and is currently available at retail, and the character designs must lend themselves well to a retro style action figure. By retro style I’m talking about something that was released in the late 70’s or early 80’s.
This is something I’m dead serious about doing and I’ve already worked out most of the details from a production standpoint. I just recently had a deal in the works that fell through which is why I’m on the hunt for something new.

Hey, all, I'm a recent college graduate with an art degree but with no idea as for what I'm going to do in this post-college world (A common problem, I'm sure). As such, I'd like to keep in shape with drawing some comics, since it's something I love to do and would like to get my foot in the door for the future.
You can find my comics portfolio here: http://www.comicspace.com/ianmiller
My fine arts portfolio can be found here: http://ianjamesmiller.blogspot.com
I can pencil and ink, and if need be I'm comfortable in watercolor, acrylics, oils, and even digital programs like Photoshop and Illustrator.
I figure I should do something art-related now, and I'd love to start working on drawing a comic. If the story is short enough or I like it enough I can do it for free, but if at all possible I'd be forever greatful for some supplemental income (Does that make me sound like a prima donna? I hope not. Sorry if it does:tongue:)
So if you like my stuff, give me a shout. The best way to contact me is through AIM (UniverseX259), or through email (imiller@oswego.edu or universex259@aol.com).

I learned to read reading comics and have had a love a comics ever since...
I have optioned one film screenplay that was "in development" with a $10M budget in New Orleans, when Hurricane Katrina hit - causing the location scouts to be pulled out. I have written a short script that was produced as a short film that debuted at the NewFilmmakers Fall 2007 Film Festival in NYC. Also, I have written dozens/hundreds of Standard Operating Procedures and Tecnical Bulletins for IT jobs.
I have writing credits and I love comics. The dream I had as a kid was to be a comics book writer. I am interested in writing comics and am looking for collaborators.
Thanks.
Don.
Hi, I'm an up and coming writer looking to team up with an artist. I want to get experience working together, see what we can come up with, try working both full script and plot first. I have a lot of good ideas, but sometimes don't carry them through to completion. I think having a partner might help curb that. I'd eventually like to get some stuff published. Lastly, I'd like a non-cartoonish art style.

I'm looking for comic book short stories for my Renderwrx Productions label. I need only one story right now, between 8 and 16 pages. If any writers out there have an already complete short story, a self contained one, mind you not ongoing. Any genres. Please forward it to me at stuffph@hotmail.com.
I can not pay anything up front, but if story is published there will be royalties. I already have an artist ready and waiting, I just need to pair him up with a compatible story. If I like your work I can promise future work and possible more profits.
So writers please submit plot/synopsis with a complete script!
And thanks!

An RPG company I've done occasional writing work for has asked me to post this:
---------------
We have several plot-point compaign settings and adventures currently in production.
Primarily what we are seeking right now is the ability to draw Noir with a touch of the supernatural. Prospective artists must understand Noir lighting and shading, and be able to draw a variety of mundane and supernatural elements. The products contain ac combination of Noir photography and art, so the art must have clean lines able to compliment the included photos.
The art will be simple scenes (like a Patchwork Man bartender cleaning a glass as he listens to an average Joe), a hitman slithering under a door toward his target, et cetera.
The job pays $40 per piece [note from me: The checks I've gotten are always on time]

Cock of the Walk Comics – The Beginning
July 28, 2008. Cock of the Walk Comics officially comes into fruition today. C.o.t.W. is first and foremost looking for talented creators to bring to the C.o.t.W. label. C.o.t.W. is looking for all sorts of different genres to publish, and will not discriminate on the genre you submit. As long as it is well written, we’re interested.
Cock of the Walk will publish via print on demand, unless of course the creators of the comic are interested in printing it up in advance. If that is the case, however, we will have to advise you that whilst Cock of the Walk can and will help you promote your comic and market it, we cannot pay your printing costs, and this is entirely up to the creator(s).
Cock of the Walk is also considering the options of soliciting an anthology, with proceeds going towards leukemia and cancer charities.
Cock of the Walk is also in need of “backroom” staff. Editors, designers, etc., who are willing to help in the day-to-day running of the company. Whilst C.o.t.W. is an online entity, we will still need a committed staff to help run the company.
Those interested in submitting to Cock of the Walk (whether it be pencils, inks, lettering, scripts or a completed project) please contact submissions.cotwcomics@gmail.com.
Those interested in a role to do with the running of the company; please send an email to general.cotwcomics@gmail.com, with a brief rundown of what you believe you can bring to the company.
One more thing that should be added is that all creators will retain the rights to their stories. We would eventually like to create our own “universe”, with characters from many creators, but this is a long-term goal that will not come into fruition for some time.
Thank you for your time, we look forward to hearing from you, and keep an eye out for a website and forums in the coming weeks.
Cock of the Walk Comics.

Hopefully working with you soon... Jeff
LibertyCabbage

Hey, I'm LibertyCabbage, author of a few obscure webcomics out there, and I'm back at it again, teaming up with Slitwrist Studio ( http://www.slitwriststudio.com ) to do a collab project I've had rolling around the back of my mind for a while.
This project, as I've conceived it, will be a continuous collection of short comics, ranging from one to ten pages in length each, that will be published in groups as a monthly update (sort of like a web magazine). Each monthly update will feature about five shorts, give-or-take depending on the lengths of the submissions.
What we're looking for are:
- writers to submit comics scripts in length ranging from a minimum of one page to a maximum of ten pages.
- artists willing to contribute their skills towards making the comics, whether it be in pencils, inks, colors, lettering, or any combination of the above.
I'll be serving as editor for the project, selecting the best scripts and artists in order to ensure a high level of quality, and I'll be working with Slitwrist to scrounge the Web for interested talent.
Some details:
- There is no limit or restriction on content or style of the comics as long as it's tastefully done. Be creative!
- There is no restriction to size or format of the pages.
- All contributors will get full credit and ownership of their work, as well as having links to their personal site displayed to help promote their other work.
- Unfortunately, there are no plans at this time to give payment for any contributions. However, this project might help you get exposure and experience as well as feedback to help you improve your skills. Also, you'll be able to make good comics and express yourself without the hassle of having to look for others to work with.
- Keep in mind that to ensure quality of content, not all contributors will be accepted. However, I will try to give helpful feedback to anyone who's not accepted.
- Artists will be given a script or choice of scripts to work on. However, if they don't want to work on the script/s they can turn them down and wait for something they like better to come along. Also, artists can specify certain kinds of genres/styles they'd prefer to work with as well as a general comic length they prefer to work with.
- Artists can draw their own scripts, although it's recommended that they submit the script for approval before drawing it.
- We're looking for new content created exclusively for this project. So, we prefer that you don't submit anything that's already been published in print or on the Web.
- As editor, I'll be proofreading the scripts for changes to spelling and grammar, although no changes will be made without the writer's permission.
- I will likely be contributing scripts and/or artwork at some point.
- You can send in as many scripts as you want as long as none of them are any longer than ten pages. Also, artists can apply to work on multiple comics if they wish to.
- If I think of anything else, I'll add it to this list!
If you're interested in contributing, please send your submission (or any questions) to libertycabbage@hotmail.com :
Writers - Send a one-to-ten page script that contains the name you'd like to be credited as, an e-mail address for me to contacted you with, and a personal website you'd like to promote (if applicable).
Artists - Send some examples of your work or a link to an online portfolio. Examples of previous comic work a plus! Also, specify what area/s of artwork you'd like to contribute (pencils, inks, colors, lettering, or all of the above).
Thanks for reading this, and I hope to hear from you soon!

Hi everyone,
I am looking to see if any artist/inker would like to possibly enter the Zuda.com (DC Comics) contest with me? According to the rules and entry form we would submit 8 pages and possibly have the chance to tell our story in an additional 52 pages.
The story itself is a horror/comedy in the tradition of a Troma like film.
Any monies received would be spilt 50/50. My contributions would include writing of the script, coloring and lettering. Your contributions would be artist/inker/separations.
Below you will find the first few pages of a film script I wrote about 4 years ago. It’s currently in film style, but if I am able to find a collaborator, I will adapt it to an 8 page comic book script. Please note I crossed out the course language, but it would remain in the final, unless Zuda (DC Comics) asks us to clean it up.
SCRIPT
FADE IN:
EXT. MILL RECYCLING CENTER - NIGHT
A small stationary work trailer is covered in snow. An old sign is hanging on the side which reads “Mill Recycling Center.” The A forest as well as a chain linked fence surround the trailer. Stacks of bottle and aluminum cans are stacked in separated piles as well as newspaper. A tree shredder can also be is parked at a side.
Light from a television can is leaking through the windows. Static from the T.V. is barley audible.
INT. WORK TRAILER - NIGHT
Garbage covers what appears to have once been a desk. Flies roam over the half eaten food which lies next to a garbage can. Beer bottles are scattered throughout the place.
We hear the television static growing louder as we see an old man lounging in a torn up recliner chair. He is staring at the television with a beer in one hand and his d_ck in the other.
We now see what the old man is watching, or at least trying to watch. It is a porn channel which has not been descrambled. The old man gets excited as what appears to be a breast flashes across the television in a swamp like green color.
OLD MAN
Yeah b_tch, that’s what I like. Show me some t_tties.
We now know the old man is using this time to j_rk off. A female a_s flashes across the television as well a second of audible sound in which we can hear a woman moaning.
OLD MAN
A_s is good too, sk_nk.
The old man is stroking harder and harder. His chair begins to shake and he begins to moan. He now looks like he is having a stroke, but it’s just him j_rking off. Right when he is about to climax the television’s power goes out.
OLD MAN
Son of a bitch! Goddamn it!
He throws his beer bottle across the trailer in anger. He quickly stands up and readjusts his pants. Tightening his belt around his waist we see him begin to kick some of the garbage around.
OLD MAN
This is bullsh_t! Perfect f_cking timing. F_ck! Just great!
He sticks his hand in to a pile of litter he has just moved around.
OLD MAN
There you are.
He pulls out a MAGlight flashlight and checks to make sure it still works properly. He quickly turns it on and off and back on again.
He walks towards the front of the trailer, grabbing a jacket and throwing it on. He opens the front door and exits.
EXT. MILL RECYCLING CENTER – NIGHT
The old man stumbles out of the trailer as if the beer is just now catching up with him. He shines the flashlight to one side of the trailer and makes his way over. He is now at the fuse box, and opens it to investigate.
OLD MAN
What the hell?
He pulls out a Christmas tree branch and holds it up to his flashlight.
OLD MAN
Son of b_tch. How’d that get in there?
He checks the fuses and quickly turns the power back on.
INT. WORK TRAILER - NIGHT
The old man reenters the trailer and takes his jacket off hanging it on the coat rack. He makes his way over to the fridge and opens the door. He grabs a beer, biting the cap off, and downs the entire bottle. He grabs another beer, again bites the cap off and goes back to the reclining chair.
The television is back on and breasts appear in a mix of haze and static.
OLD MAN
Hey bitch. I have something for you.
He begins to reach in his pants grabbing his d_ck. As he is about to whip it out a loud bang is heard from outside.
OLD MAN
Mother f_cker!
The old man set’s his beer down and walks over to the window. Not being able to see anything in the dark, he grabs the flashlight and shines it outside through the window. After a moment of panning the light around he notices a Christmas tree lying in the snow outside.
OLD MAN
What in blazes? Oh this is just bullsh_t.
He chooses to ignore the fact that a Christmas tree is now lying in the snow directly in front of the trailer. He begins to make his way towards the reclining chair, when again a loud bang can be heard from outside. The old man rushes back to the window. He again shines the flashlight outside. This time the tree is gone. In its place is nothing more that an indent in the snow.
OLD MAN
F_cking kids.
The old man grabs his jacket and throws it on. He also grabs a baseball bat which is hanging on the wall. He exits the trailer.
EXT. MILL RECYCLING CENTER – NIGHT
The old man makes his way outside of the trailer. He shines the light where the tree was as he walks over to the indent. One there the old man notices pine needles lay in the indent.
He looks around in all directions.
OLD MAN
Listen here you little pr_ck f_cks! I don’t give a flying f_ck if you faggits want to steal trees. I could really give a flying faggit f_ck-f_ck.
The old man continues to shine his flashlight in all directions, but now taking more aim into the wooded area.
OLD MAN
You want to steal trees, fine! Just don’t do it when I am trying to see some t_tty!
Like a ghost in the machine, the tree shredder turns on.
OLD MAN
Oh bullsh_t. I tried to be cool. I tried to be hip maduf_ckers!
The old man is now holding up the baseball bat halfway above his head. He walks over to the tree shredder.
OLD MAN
You think this is funny?
He now looks into the entrance of the tree shredder.
OLD MAN
Bullsh_t is what it is. Bullsh_t.
Just then he is pushed into the tree shredder. We cannot see who or what has pushed him, but we know he was pushed. He tumbles and turns feet first. He begins to scream not only in fear but in pain as he slowly slides into the blades. Blood and human meat are now shooting out of the tree shredder. More blood than imaginable. Flesh is flying threw the air at rapid speed. He tries to pull himself out, but it’s no use. His own body weight is now his worst enemy.
His chest is now being shredded. Now his arms are sucked up. Finally his head is swallowed into the blades and a loud “squish” is heard as if Gallagher had just smashed a watermelon. The old man had kept screaming until there was no more of him left.
We see a Christmas tree shacking and the sound of laughter, standing over the tree shredder. Blood covers it's branches.

Hi all, I'm new to CBR. I'm looking for an artist for a script I've written. I'd like to find an artist to read my script and see what he can do and if interested I'm offering 50/50 co-ownership if we can get the comic published. The script is darker and I'm proud of it. I've given it to many people including my screen writing professor and gotten very positive feedback. I can't offer any money because right now but like I said I offer co-ownership and splitting any money made if published. You can PM me or email me at kal09@mts.net

Please read entire post before submitting...
Hey guys, we've filled our stable of print titles but we're expanding into webcomics as well. Unfortunately only our print creators are paid, our webcomic creators are not paid. We do however promise a ton of exposure when we launch in January. We have a solid, experienced crew of editors and plan a solid launch with strong financial backing, all of which is going into marketing our creators.
If you have a title that you'd like exposure on, let us know! We'll get it on our website and promote the hell out of it! We do NOT want super-hero titles, but we'll consider any other genre. Here's the one caveat, the pages must be 750px W x 500 px H. There's no exceptions, you'll have to adapt. Please, only send us a brief synopsis of your title at this time. If we are interested we'll request more information. If you must send us actual pages to look at please send links only, no attachments.
You must write "webcomic" in subject line or it will be deleted. Thanks

From Warren Ellis' Bad Signal email "Building The Imperfect Beast"...
Okay, I'm pretty sure I did do this last year, but I think it's reconfigured in my head since then. So.
What you need is one writer and three artists. Essentially, you decide to Form A Band.
And you decide up front that all the money from the anthology comic is divided 4 ways equally. This is for simplicity's sake -- people argue this point with me all the time, but I have had publishers say to my face that they avoid anthologies, especially creator-owned ones, because THE SUMS ARE TOO HARD. Keep it simple. 25% for everybody.
What you're going to do, you see, is one writer writing three serials for three artists.
You're doing a two-dollar book. That's FELL format. A 24pp unit, all on the same paperstock, including covers. "Guts" of 20pp, with the "cover", constituting 4pp, wrapped around it, yes?
Three 6pp episodes is 18 pages. Your cover and inside front cover for indicia etc are 2pp. So that leaves you 4pp, including the back cover, to play with. Use them to interleave the serials, use them as backmatter, let the artists take turns doing full-page pieces, whatever.
The cover art is a rotating job between the three artists.
Collect it every six months as a 128pp book (therefore still splitting everything four ways) or collect each serial on its own as best fitting (each book therefore splitting 50/50). (As is blatantly obvious, but people like to ask these questions instead of thinking for themselves.)
Go and do it. I need something to read.
Form a band, boys and girls. Form a band.
I've been meaning to pull something together along these lines for awhile now. Then the latest Bad Signal email from Ellis shows up in my inbox this morning. I figure this could serve as the kick in the ass to actually get working on such an endeavor.
It's pretty straight forward -- I'm a writer looking for three artists to "form a band." Hit me back if you're interested or have any questions. Thanks.

Looking for artists who would like to work on any of the following projects:
-A (not so ordinary) vampire story. Art for this would be realistic and gritty, a dark feeling.
-A teen superhero team story (a la Teen Titans/Young Avengers). Artwork for this would need to be more teen-orientated, with a general "younger" feel to it.
-A vigilante superhero story. Artwork would need to be gritty, yet still a nice superhero-ish style.
If you're interested please contact me via philsmith69907@gmail.com
Thanks, guys. :)

hi im looking to get a sleeve designed but i cant find a tattooist to do it that i like, as i want something more comic based than a traditional tattoo. the base idea is space underwater and the main part being a goofy looking cartoon squid wraping round a 50's style si-fi lazer gun there is a bit more to it but i can explaine that later if you are interested my email is (a_strange_trip@hotmail.com) i will pay cash for the final design.

We are currently seeking a sequential artist for a paid submission package, and subsequent ongoing/mini-series monthly comic if project is green lighted by a publisher. Artist should have an appreciation for the fantasy genre, as well as an interest in ‘breaking into’ comics.
Project involves up-front page rate for the submission package, however we are looking for someone that is interested in collaborating to get their work published, more than interest in the freelance aspect (not that there is anything wrong with that, or that you can’t do both – it is simply where we are coming from with this project).
Essentially the pay offered for submission package is a ‘safety net’ for someone interested in collaboration, but tired of taking chances on projects that are never accepted by a publisher. We are only looking for people who would be interested in continuing on the project if it is picked up with the understanding that it would be a division of profits (back-end) situation.
Interested artists should e-mail to sequentialart@live.com with links to current sequential art samples, list of published work (if any), and page rate. Script (obviously) and other additional information is available for those that may be interested. We are proponents of contracts that make people comfortable and safe, and will work out details with interested parties in advance of work.
E-mails will be accepted until September 6th 2008.
Thank you for taking the time to consider our offer.
J.L. Collins has been published by Wizards of the Coast in Realms of the Dragons II: A Forgotten Realms Anthology, and also published in Dragon Magazine #332 - A Novel Approach. William Ward edited the Fantasy Anthology Fablewood, which was recently, spotlighted by Ursula K. Le Guin under her ongoing Some Books I’ve Liked website entries.

We're always looking for good artists at Billy The Heretic. So many scripts that laugh at diversity so little time. Drop me a mail from the website and some sample work.
But don't expect cartoons lampooning diversity to make you rich. It's all for the enjoy of spreading truth through humor.

I’m looking for a comic book artist who can get started on project that has already been developed and is also getting the action figure treatment. My partner, who is handling the comic book end of this, recently told me that our current artist was unable to commit to doing the work so now we’re on the hunt for someone else who might be up for the challenge. The action figures are already in the prototype stage so whoever we find needs to be able to start work ASAP.
For anyone who might be interested please contact me via e-mail (craig.owen@insightbb.com) or PM and be sure to provide samples of your work.
You don't mention if there is pay involved... if there is PAY, you should try Deviantart.com/ Many talented artists over there... but they won't work for free.
Yes, there is pay involved. I just assumed that was a given.

I am looking for an artist to collaborate on a science-fiction/comedy comic with the goal of seeking publication.
Here is a one-sentence version of the pitch:
"“When the space-city Galactopia is menaced by the doomsday threat that destroyed the Earth, the last hope for its germ-ophobic residents is … the janitor?!”
The story will be told in three 36-page installments, whether single issues or together as an original graphic novel, depending on the preference of the potential publisher. The first 36-page chapter is written and the rest is underway.
I don't have a specific preference about art styles, but need an artist who is good at futuristic machinery, expansive backgrounds, and comedic body language and facial expressions. Brandon Graham springs to mind as an artist who would fit the bill nicely, but I am open to any style.
I cannot pay up front for any art (as this would be a collaboration) but am willing to split profits and ownership evenly. Details can be worked out during private communication.
The artist chosen must be willing to complete five sequential pages from a sample of my script, as well as a cover design. This is the standard amount of art requested by companies such as Image, SLG, etc. Artwork submitted for review must include sequential panels (or, preferably, a multi-page sequence) that highlight storytelling ability. Pin-ups and designs are OK, as well, but sequentials are a must.
If you are interested in discussing this collaboration or submitting your artwork, please contact me at: jistrasburg@gmail.com

I need two artists for comic book submissions for a universe I'm creating, and I need two more artists two help me create two more titles.
The first concept is about an assassin who works for a company superhuman assassins, but begins taking her first few steps to redemption, but the company isn't going to let one of their best operatives just leave. Looking for an art style similar to Leinil Yu.
The second is about a female warrior of the Amazon, who defends it, and isn't happy with how it's being treated, and makes her way to the city (there's a lot more, just don't want to give it all away). Looking for an art style similar to Joe Madureira.
Unfortunately, I can't offer any money at the moment, but if the idea is picked up, a percentage of the money earned would go to you.
E-mail me at dbaonw@hotmail.co.uk if your interested (and if you need more information). I have so many ideas wrapped up inside my head and this is just one of them, so if you want to know about some of the others, e-mail me!
Below is a script for another idea of mine that is currently being pencilled:
PAGE ONE (THREE PANELS)
PANEL ONE taking up most of the page.
PAGE ONE, PANEL ONE
Big panel, biggest on page, takes up about 1/3 of the page. Zoom in on a big, green mountain side (something like this: http://www.carlaz.com/holiday/goingoutw ... lley_2.jpg, except with a lot more trees, and it needs to be zoomed in closer). Maybe have a bird fly by.
PAGE ONE, PANEL TWO
Smaller panel, about a quarter of the size of the previous, but over laying it, down in the bottom right-hand corner. Zoom in even closer on the mountain so we can see a little opening, and opening of a cave.
MILITARY OFFICER [OP]: GET THE DAMN POWER ONLINE BEFORE SHE WAKES UP!
SCIENTIST [OP]: We’r…. We’re trying sir. Ther-- There has been a power cut.
PAGE ONE, PANEL THREE
Takes up the remaining space at the bottom of the page (with the previous panel over lapping its top right hand corner). From a side angle, where we can only see from the stomach up, this panel concentrates on two men: a old, grey haired scientist in a white laboratory coat (something like http://www.robertamsterdam.com/Ginzburg.jpg), and a younger, darker-toned, taller military man (wearing a green military uniform with a hat) who’s standing behind him. The scientist is leaning over a control board in front of the two, while the military man is standing straight. You can also see in front of the part of a metal sphere (and remember, they’re inside the cave).
MILITARY OFFICER: IF YOU DON’T GET THE POWER BACK ONLINE, WE’RE ALL SCRWED!
SCIENTIST: I’m—I’m going a—As fast as I can.
PAGE TWO (SIX PANELS)
Three panels that are the length of the page that should be divided equally, with smaller box panels on the bottom of each panel.
PAGE TWO, PANEL ONE
Looking at the two men face on now. They’re faces are expressing fear.
PAGE TWO, PANEL TWO
The box panel on the bottom of the previous panel. All that’s visible is a metal sphere, with a small amount of purple energy leaking from the middle of it.
PAGE TWO, PANEL THREE
Panel same as panel one. The men have now turned to face the exit (the opening of the cave) and have began running.
PAGE TWO, PANEL FOUR
Exactly the same as panel two, only now a lot more purple energy is visible and the sphere is beginning to rip.
SFX: KKRRKKHHH!
PAGE TWO, PANEL FIVE
The men look back as they here the noise. The exit is drawing near.
PAGE TWO, PANEL SIX
The sphere is pouring out the purple energy and the sphere has ripped. We can see a bright purple light shining within.
PAGE THREE AND PAGE FOUR (ONE PANEL)
Splash page – Big panel filling both pages.
PAGE THREE AND PAGE FOUR, PANEL ONE
Looking at the scene from the side. Full view of the cave. The sphere that was there has now disappeared, and all that remains is a platform. The metal that composed the sphere are lying in ruins around the platform, and the control panel that the two men were standing over has been torn out of place. The two men are lying face down flat on the floor, with their hands on the backs of their heads. Floating above the metal platform is a young beautiful girl with long black hair, wearing jeans, a purple top of sorts and a white denim jacket. She’s floating because of telekinesis, so feel free to throw an outline of purple energy around her!
CAPTION BOX (PURPLE): WHERE THE HELL AM I?!
PAGE FIVE (FOUR PANELS)
Panel one takes up half the page.
PAGE FIVE, PANEL ONE
Looking at the exit from behind the girl. Can see half of the back of her body. The two men are now clambering to their feet.
PAGE FIVE, PANEL TWO
Small box panel. From behind, we can see the scientist scream as he’s hit by the purple energy.
SCIENTIST: AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
SFX: FFOOMMMM
PAGE FIVE, PANEL THREE
Small rectangular panel, although bigger than the previous. Outside the cave, and the scientist has been knocked off of the edge of the cliff, and is falling to his death.
SCIENTIST: AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
PAGE FIVE, PANEL FOUR
Panel the width of the page. The military man is crawling backwards on the floor. Still looking from behind like panel one, but a bit more of the girl’s back is visible.
PAGE SIX (ONE PANEL)
Big one page panel.
PAGE SIX, PANEL ONE
Looking from behind the man, so we’re looking directly at the girl and inside of the cage, while we are unable to view the front of the military man. The girl is now strangling the man telekinetically, while holding him over the edge of the cliff. Lots of purple energy being released from the girl, perhaps even visible around the man’s neck.
CAPTION BOX (PURPLE): I’m Katrina Davies.
CAPTION BOX (PURPLE(OVERLAPPING THE CORNER OF THE PREVIOUS SLIGHTLY): I’m a telekinetic and a telepath. And I was a member of a superhero team.
KATRINA: Where are my friends?
CAPTION BOX (PURPLE): And for some reason, we were locked up.

Hey guys,
I'm currently looking for an artist to bring a script I have written to life. The title of the piece is: 'Dodger!' To give a very brief synopsis it tells the story of a one Jack Dawkins otherwise known as the Artful Dodger when he returns to England after serving his sentence in Australia.
At this point in time I can not pay for the art but hopefully will be able to do some kinda back end deal. I also have lots of other projects at various stages of development, both completed and not.
I am open to all artists so please send me samples or links to info@flyjelly.co.uk
Thank you

Seeking artist for 5-10 page pitch for mini-series
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a published author (and former small press publisher) seeking an excellent artist for a 5-10 page pitch. I have two complete scripts and a total outline of a very moody, darkly humorous mini series about a mother/son team of gypsy serial killers and their more than strange vehicle.
I have had quite a few bites on this one already, and think that with the right artist it could be a hit. There is a possiblity of shooting for a grant for self-pub if it doesn't get bought, but I think this is unusual (and good enough) that someone will snatch it up.
The only commitment on the part of the artist would be the pitch pages and the commitment to finish the project if sold.
All procedes including further development deals and series rights would be split 50/50 with artist.
I don't care about experience or age, only talent, but serious reliable inquiries only, please.

Hello! I am a writer looking to collaborate with an artist on a few projects. What I am looking to do is develop a one-shot with an artist and shop it around to publishers to see if we can get our collective foot in the door. I feel going this route will help us both in some regard by getting our name out there. I have a few concepts and can send a two page writing sample your way if you're interested. I typically write in Full-Script style but can do Marvel Plot style if that's how you work.
Send samples to my e-mail address provided on my profile and I'll get back to you within 48 hours, I'll send back the writing sample at that time as well.
I don't typically write Hero scripts but I'm open to the idea, I have developed the concept of a Detective script (series), a Horror script (one-shot), and a Pirate of the Skies story. If any of this sounds interesting and you are a talented artist (black & white is fine with me) then please get in touch!
Thank you for reading!

I’m looking for a digital artist to start a web comic.
What I have to offer:
1) I am a writer with lots of good ideas and a real knack for popular culture. I also have lots of contacts and some experience in the field (of web comics)
2) An experienced web developer with years of server side experience. Seriously. His computer Kung Fu is not to be fucked with.
3) A page layout/graphic designer who is also a nasty piece of work with a keyboard.
4) Long term commitment.
What I’m looking for:
1) Someone’s what can draw good and stuff. Seriously though. You need to have the ability to draw, ink and color well. Preferably digitally because it allows for scalability and transference of original materials for other uses.
2) A unique style. If you are good then that’s great. If you have a look that sets you apart from the crowd of other comic artists then even better.
3) Someone who can deliver on a deadline. We will start with a Monday, Wednesday, Friday update schedule (we may add a Saturday or special at some point depending on how things go). I’ll write the comic and blog/journal with input from the entire team. You’ll draw it. The tech guys will chuck it up on the intertubes.
4) Someone who is equally committed to creating a successful webcomic and sticking with it as long as it remains successful.
5) Someone who isn’t batshit crazy and thinks the world revolves around them because they are an “arteest”.
I’m not going to tell you that I’m going to make you a gajillionaire. Unless you think that’s a real number in which case… yes. I’ll make you a gajillionaire. What I can tell you is that domain registration, server side applications, PHPBB forums, ads, store…. it’s all handled. I’ll provide the content, you draw the pictures and we will see if lightning strikes.
No this isn’t a paying gig. Yes I realize most people who work want to be paid. What I’m looking for is someone who is willing to take a chance and invest some sweat equity and build something. We can talk about how to distribute any money the comic makes when it starts making some. Something that will no doubt take time. Disclosure will be full. No one will get cornholed.
So if you are interested and want to know more drop me a line with a link to some of your art at iwanttodraw@gmail.com and we can discuss details and answer questions.
Looking forward to working with you. ;)

Hi everyone,
I am a web developer and have been employed as such for nearly 11 years at the same company. I currently have different needs for talented artists. I am looking for logo designers and sequential artists who would like to trade skill sets.
I can program XHTML, PHP, MySQL Databases, JavaScript, Ajax, XML and CSS. In addition to those; I can also utilize numerous JavaScript interfaces such as jQuery, script.acilo.us and MooTools. I am proficient in creating image galleries, content management systems, non-flash dependent animations, server side form validation and much more. Most recently as a freelancer I finished up a website for a new Roadrunner Recording artist which will be launching live sometime before January 2009.
So if you’re a sequential artist or a logo designer who has website needs, hit me up with some of your artwork and what type of programming you need and we can go from there. North America residents only!!!
You can also check out my new site, with a few demos available (more coming soon) at http://www.shannoncronin.com/freelance
Thanks for your time.

Hi everyone,
I represent a small hobby game development team looking for a talented artist to create comic style concept art.
Information about the team:
This is a hobby project but the small (focused) team are very talented and have 4-6+ years of professional experience each. Our goal with this project is to collaborate on a game of our own design that we can develop ourselves to our (high) standards.
Information about the role:
We are interested in finding a talented 2d artist to do character and environment concepts, presentable storyboards, maybe some in-game user interface art - as much as you are willing to get contribute. You don't need to have games related experience, we are happy to explain and teach the right person.
This is not a paid position and is just for experience, porfolio, and fun. We may present the concept to publishers or find funding for the full development of the game in the future, but that will be discussed with all team members before any action is taken.
Information about the game:
Introduction:
Immerse yourself in an epic and compelling story, filled with memorable personalities and adrenaline-pumping action sequences. Project: Genesis is an episodic 3rd person action-adventure game with a futuristic setting and a unique film noir inspired art style.
Key Features:
• An epic adventure that tells an intriguing story
• Exciting action scenes, including vehicles and combat
• Interactive and living, persistent world
• Fully populated with hundreds of characters
• Stunning atmosphere and environments
• Memorable key characters with distinctive personalities
Genre:
Genesis is an episodic 3rd person action-adventure game.
Platform:

Looking for an artist able to illustrate a very creepy and dark script about a serial killer. Looking for art that fits in with a Sin City, Jinx kinda vibe, but the story has a feel of old horror Boneyard comics. No men in tights here...
If interested drop a line to soulflye@yahoo.com with a subject "comic book artist" with a link to where we can check out samples.

Hello,
I am an artist and illustrator and am wondering how I go about hiring a writer to enhance an idea of mine into a story and comic book script. I'd preferably like to own the rights to the story and script.
At the moment I am mostly looking for information on how this all works and what it would cost. Can somebody please point me to the best place for it?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

I am a writer looking for a penciller/inker/colorist who wants to collaborate. I will pay page rates for the pitch (probably 5 pages or so).
The page rates would probably be on the lower end, and I am really looking for someone who is interested in breaking into the industry. If the pitch is picked up we would split the pay 50/50.
The comic is titled Bump in the Night, and is about trolls living in the sewers of New York. It's mature, a lot of violence and profanity. Imagine if you crossed Ninja Turtles with The Outsiders and Of Mice and Men.
The pitch would be the very beginning of the first issue and would deal with Bump (the main character) and his buddies rescuing his huge gentle Garbage Troll cousin, who is lost in the city in Bridge Troll territory.
Alot of the comic deals with prejudice, between both the trolls themselves, and humans.

I'm looking for a young cartoonist, for a Blog called: http://mylifeiscrap.com
(http://mylifeiscrap.com)
The idea is to draw at least one cartoon per day, using one of the stories that appear on the blog. The story (2-3 lines) will be sent to you before being published, and once your cartoon submitted to me, it will be published along with the story.
This blog gets a few hundred visits per day, so this is a good way to advertise yourself and work on your creativity when given a topic. I will create a page on the blog, where you can advertise yourself with contact details and some of your work if you want. I cannot pay (as I do not earn money from the blog yet...but with hard work and dedication this might come along) but I will give you plenty of room to show your stuff and your name will be included after each drawing, and in your own page obviously.
Check out http://mylifeiscrap.com to get a feel of what you might be drawing for.
You can reply and submit your work at: admin.mylifeiscrap@gmail.com
Sincerely,
Admin

I'm an experienced screenwriter and novelist with a few movie credits on IMDB. I currently have an extensive, Fantasy story treatment that can be produced as a graphic novel, a traditional novel, and a motion picture. In order to market this project, I have an 8 page script for an illustrated video presentation.
I’m looking for a highly energized, accomplished artist [who is pro or ready to go pro] to collaborate with me on the presentation.
The finished video presentation will be 8-10 minutes long with V.O. narration, music, and sound FX. I have business relationships with a few, very powerful players in the movie business. The video presentation will go online, as well as onto DVD, and marketed not only to my connections, but to anyone in publishing and motion pictures we can get to watch it.
I cannot pay the artist at this time, but am willing to offer a partnership on the graphic novel... and/or have a buy-out clause in our agreement. It will be a great sample portfolio piece regardless.
LOGLINE: Falcon Lord, a noble orphan boy who rides a giant falcon, must defeat an evil genius who is pillaging resources and polluting the environment.
If you’re interested in learning more about this exciting project, I can next send you a 1½ page synopsis. But at the same time, I would like to see your portfolio. If I don’t respond to your work, please don’t be offended. I am looking for a very specific style of art.

Hey I am a 25 year old author, I have recently had my first book published. My book attracted interest from film studios most small but the largest was Lions Gate. I have kept in contact with some people at Lions Gate and have spoken to them about an idea I have regarding a comic book.
I have a lot of ideas and my ideas have generated some interest so far but I am not the greatest artist in the world.
If anyone is interested please contact me. I will split any profit made off the comic 50/50. That includes book sales, movie deal and merchandise. Once I have seen some sample work I will give more details on the project.

I'm a writer; I've recently completed a six-page, paranormal thriller and I'm looking for an artist. Unfortunately, I have nothing to offer at the moment -- only the usual credit. Sorry... :frown:

Hope to hear from you soon -- bye!
Elektra
11-02-2008, 11:27 AM
I had in mind doing an independent Elektra Series. I can send any and all stories and RPGs I have done as well.
I am also writing a Epic Fantasy Novel entitled, "Riika: The Legend of 'Pouncing Warrior.'" It is to be published by Shipley and Associates in Salt Lake City when it is finished. They already want a book 2 and 3 (Which was what I was planning on writing anyway.....it is a HUGE story set in Ancient times upon another planet. I already have an artist for the book. I need someone to help me start a Volume 3 Elektra. Of course, it would be an independent thing since I STILL don't have rights to her. But, if things go the way I fear and Marvel kills her, I'm going to talk to Miller about it and see if he will let us publish it independently. I know Greg Horne, but I also know he does not have it in his power to do this for me, NOT without Miller's permission. I am currently writing the vol 3 on my forum (Listed in my signature) however, so you could get the feel of where this is going. Horne, as well as many others say that I write her BETTER.....which I find hard to believe; but yet, everyone insists that I do. I was posting cotton-candy in that starter thread. If you want to see what I REALLY do on my forum with the other RPGers, then here's a sample:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--Eyes open--
--Still in the SHADOWS--
Sai Pointed at Nicky, making sure he has my FULL attention...
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k23/cheetahcatgirl/Elektra17-crop1.jpg
"That is NOT an OPTION...Nicky"
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k23/cheetahcatgirl/Elektra17-crop2.jpg
"Listen CAREFULLY.... Listen WELL, Nick...."
"I OWE him, and you KNOW it...he took my life, once..."
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k23/cheetahcatgirl/Elektra12-Crop1.jpg
I walk out of the shadows and stand in front of him and tell him how it will be, whether he likes it or NOT.....
--It is written in STONE.....NOTHING will change my MIND--
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k23/cheetahcatgirl/Elektra56-crop2.jpg
--He DOESN'T like my REACTION--
--But I don't care--
--I didn't EXPECT him to--
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And I will add a fight Scene too, but I can't upload anymore images to this thread. I will edit in some links where I posed Samples here though.
Here is a post I did on my forum a few days ago that I particularly liked. The Hand Drugged Elektra. She is very sick, yet she still is Elektra...
http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showpost.php?p=7826682&postcount=5728
My email is: darkelektran@gmail.com
MSN is: chicat2@charter.net
Website (Which is PW protected to all of the RPGs), unfortunately due to the graphic violence, is
http://darkelektran.proboards105.com/index.cgi?
You have to be a member to see them and have the Universal Password.
Also, if someone is interested in doing a completely NEW comic, let me know. I can write in many styles. I am very audio, so I can copy styles (Example: Miller, Lovecraft, E.A.Poe, etc). Whatever we would do would be 1/2 and 1/2.
Thanks,

Hey
I'm starting work on a horror comic and I need an artist. I really don't know how this works but here is a little bit about the plot.
SHRINE is the story of Matthew Howard. Matt is a young businessman living in Tokyo. One day while returning home, Matt witnesses the suicide of a young co-worker named Yoko. After the accident, Matt delves deeper and deeper into the tragic past of Yoko and her family. He learns about a horrifying legend behind the shrine that her family once cared for and the secret lust that Yoko had for Matthew. Haunted by these thoughts, Matt takes it on himself to visit the shrine and try to make piece with the spirit of Yoko. He drags his photographer friend Hide and his girlfriend Mary along with him to keep him company. When they arrive though, they realize that there is something much more terrifying then they thought waiting for them at the Shrine.
Now the best way to describe it is
The Ring + Friday the 13th = Shrine.
I tried to combine my love for all things Eastern horror with my love for Western horror. I really think this would make a great comic but the problem is, I cant draw. I really want this to be the best it can be.
The best way to contact me is my PM or
butterflychurricane@gmail.com
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Hi.
This might sound like a bit of a weird request, since I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for yet, but I wondered if there were any writers out there who'd be interesting in collaborating on a slightly different kind of graphic novel.
Right, so I was listening to an interview with Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie, ( the guys behind Phonogram) and became kind of inspired to try and do something myself. Theres just one problem... I can't draw. Well ok thats not strictly true, you can't spend 4 years at art school without picking a few things up, but I know my limits and I know i'll never be an illustrator. Can't draw people to save my life. But I'm not going to let a little thing like that stop me. I work as a graphic designer and wondered if there was a way I could use the skills I have got, to create something half-decent. I was thinking of something a bit more abstract and stylized than the usual 6-panel comic, something that relies a bit less on figurative drawings, and uses typography, layout and things like found photos in ways that they're not usually used. Like I said, its kind of a half-formed idea at the moment, which is why I'm really looking for someone else to work with. Its always easier when you've got someone to knock ideas back and forth with, and hopefully there'll be someone out there whos got a few suggestions what we could actually do with this. A few examples which popped into my mind, were 'Signal to noise' or theres a little webcomic called 'A softer world' (http://www.asofterworld.com/) which does some nice stuff with photos. Even something like the extras in Watchmen (the newspaper clippings etc). I'm not necessarily suggesting doing something exactly like any of those, but something along those lines.
As for what sort of story, I don't really mind. I'd rather steer clear of Marvel, DC etc stuff but thats really just personal preference. Fantasy is fine, so long as its interesting and original. A few writers I'm into for pointers are people like Warren Ellis, Daniel Clowes, Neil Gaiman, Jamie Hewlett and then in novels, people like JG Ballard, Murakami, Douglas Coupland, Will Self, China Meiville. Anything a bit dark and weird is fine by me.
Hopefully there are a few writers reading this whos thinking, 'I know, what if you...' If you feel like trying something out and seeing what we can come up with, get in touch.

I am looking for one or more artists to help bring some creations of mine to life. The overall genre will be superheroes, but there is room for heavy influences toward the fantasy, sci-fi, noir, horror, and spy areas, depending on the charachter. I have about a dozen semi-interrelated charachters that I plan on putting together for a shared universe. I plan on putting together a dozen or so issues together for web publication, and then hopefully for magazine publication. I have the charachters already designed, named, with backstory. I am not against creative input though.
I am not in a position to offer any compensation until the point of physical publication, however I am happy to give you all of the expected artistic credit for your work.
Stylisticly I am looking generally for Kirby meets Sternanko meets Simonson.
I have a series of two page teasers for several charachters as establishing shots for the first issue that I would like to use for artists to "test drive" the charachters and see what ones click with your particular style.
Here are some bare bones ideas about some of the charachters. This is the best way I can give you a feel for them, by giving you some influences that I was thinking of when fleshing them out.....
1) Moon Knight/ Mr Terriffic/ Doc Savage
2) Wonder Woman/Tigra
3) Black Knight/Nova
4) Dr Druid/ a D&D mage
5) Armstrong and Eternal Warrior (old Valient charachters)/ the Amber Chronicles
6) Iron Man/Quasar
7) Captain Marvel (female avenger)/Thor
8) Zatana/Elongated Man
9) Green Arrow/Daredevil/Wildcat
some of the influences from the charachters are not what you might think though. If you are interested in trying out one or more of these charachters to see if your pencil and my ideas gel, let me know.

My company is developing a web-based science fiction comic for release early next year and we're taking portfolio submissions to find a writer to script the first six issues.
The core characters and an initial storyline are already developed. The job would initially include six issues of 30 pages each, with the possibility of continuing indefinitely if successful.
This will be a full-time gig, paid at comic book industry rates ($100/page). If you're interested, email me at zzack212@gmail.com with a resume and portfolio (links are OK). Please specify your location. We are based in New York City.

Hello. Myself and my co-writer (both long time contributors to the novaprimepage website and fan group) are doing a series of Nova fan-fictions set in our own alt-universe. Its a long term project, mostly for fun, not profit with the idea of releasing the stories in a series of free PDF format files. I contributed last year to Rocket Booster, the site's 30th anniversary celebration of Nova's creation (which got a lot of input from fan artists as well as few Marvel artists) and I wanted to carry this on as I loved the creative jibe.
I'm an artist myself but other commitments are currently eating into my schedule so what I'm idealy looking for is a artist/s willing to contribute line art drawings for me to colour, full emphasis on joint credit/solo credit whatever is preferable. Both me and my partner are willing to pay, we have a tight budget. If you're interested in contributing to this fan project please PM me or alternatively email me at novadaz3333@yahoo.co.uk
Regards. Darren.

Looking for artists for two projects:
First is a four issue miniseries about a robotic man in a dog-themed superhero suit. Will pay page rates for a 5-10 page sample, after that, 50/50 if sold. (75/25 if you're really awesome).
Other is a dark comedy webcomic about a christian fundamentalist abortion doctor who performs experiments on the unborn babies he collects and then sends the zombie fetuses to kill their own mothers for their sins. Uh. No pay for this one, sorry. It's just for fun. So if you like the idea of drawing unborn babies strangling priests with their umbilical cords and what not, email me.

Me and my artist, Glen Bosiwang, recently managed to get our project to be published by Arcana Comics. It'll be a graphic novel.
Glen is inking also, and we have a letterer, but we still need a colourist. Because of Arcana's policies, we can't pay until the end. Arcana's policy is that the creative team will receive 60%, which we will later split.
We are looking someone who has a style like a cross between Matt Hollingsworth (http://matthollingsworth.net) and Christina Strain (http://justaddninjas.com/).
So, if you are interested, please drop me an e-mail at dbaonw@hotmail.co.uk.

Hey everyone, it's me again! I've been working on yet another project(I'm working on a few concurrently) and I need a penciler. Or a penciler/inker/colorist if you happen to be a triple threat, but if not, no worries!
The style of the story is very whimsical yet very contemporary. Think Herge's "Tintin" books crossed with "Lupin III" and make the whole thing more acceptable for children(with plenty of good old fashioned violence, don't worry) and you'll get an idea of what I'm after. If your style fits that description, or if you think it sounds like fun, give me a shout a mousepad09@yahoo.com and we'll see if we can't come to some kind of agreement.
Thanks, and I look forward to working with you!

Ok, so, I've been floating around this idea in my head, prolly done a thousand times, but I'd like to give it a show of my own. I can write some pretty twisted shit, however, I can not draw. I'm looking for an artist who can bring a dark universe to life. Corruption, Greed, and an alien crashing on Earth. Main goal is to end a war between another alien group while also avoiding the government. I'm looking for an artist along the lines of Spawn, Ghost Rider, etc. If interested, lets see how well you guys can draw an alien, and atleast two different military men. One being the "good guy" who takes the alien in, and one being the "bad guy" looking to take the alien out. I'll discuss more upon request. Let me know! Thanks :D.

One is a movie script that I'll convert over into a comic book script for you and the other is an alien abuction one shot which i may or may not turn into something longer, doubtful unless well recieved. A quick summary of the movie script:
In the late 1800’s the Pope is on his death bed, soon to be replaced by Cardinal Marcus Aurelio. Upon Marcus’ ascension to the throne he unleashes the Slayer of Saints and an army of demons upon the globe. Richard Bruce, last son of the linage of demon slayers, puts aside his beliefs and grievances with God to lead an Angelic host of warriors against the Slayer of Saints and the demonic army.
e-mail me at rbkrbk@gmail.com with the subject "COMIC ARTIST" and i'll send you either one you wish to recieve.
It would be a serious story dealing with the New World Order, MJ12, etc, if i decied to continue the series further.
Right now we're starting off with An alien Abduction victim reliving an experience he had and going through a second one with another victim there being experimented on, so he now has someone to share this with. Also we go into Wright-Patt and find top C.O.'s trying to deal with all the sightings and the elected officials breathing down their neck about questions. Of course the General knows what is going on and who is responsible about what is going on, it's the military conducting exercises....or is it?
had some typo's there but i'm tired. e-mail me if you want to read it and link me to some of you work if you're an artist, etc.

Could you give a brief description of the alien abduction story? Will it be comical or serious?

Hey all,
I'm a journalist by trade, and I've recently been looking to get into some more creative work. I've had an idea for a graphic novel, which I'm currently working on, but unfortunately I cannot draw.
I'm looking for an artist to work alongside me, and help provide the visuals while contributing their own unique touch to the story. As I am new to this medium, I would also be looking for tips on the working process, as I am used to very different styles of work.
I'm not a comic book aficionado, but I have had an interest in them for a long time. I've always found the comic book scene a bit intimidating due to the huge wealth of them available, and have found it difficult to get into. However, I have recently been reading some graphic novels, which I have loved. I would say that my biggest inspiration from the comic book world for this would be Watchmen, by Alan Moore. My idea involves the destruction of a Utopian society, so outside the comic world my inspiration is drawn from various sources, such as Equilibrium (Film), 1984 by George Orwell (Book), Brave New World by Auldous Huxley (Book), The Destructors by Graham Greene (Book), The Dark Knight (Film), and many more.
If anyone would be interested, you can contact me at felix[AT]felixmorgan[DOT]com, and we can discuss it further. I'd rather not go into plot details etc on here, but will happily discuss it privately.
And finally, to clarify, I am looking to do this as a fun past time, not as a job or to earn money off. Unless your aims comply then it's probably not worth us working together. That said, just because I am not looking to make money off it does not mean I do not mean to take it seriously, and I do believe that my contribution to a final product would make it worthwhile.
Thanks for your time.

Hi,
I am looking for an aspiring comic book artist to collaborate with on a web comic.
I am currently an unpublished writer (with a small amount of lettering experience) who is looking to gain more experience while I try and get work writing scripts for publishers (I have tried self publishing, but it isn’t really what I want to do.)
My idea is to create 8 – 10 single pages of a serialised story before putting them up on the web one at a time on a weekly basis, and hopefully continuing to create more if things go well.
If you’re interested please pm me or email me, vigilante_alex@yahoo.co.uk with a link to some examples of your work or some attached samples.
Cheers
Alex
p.s This is unfortunatley not a paid gig, it is just or experience and exposure
I now have a couple of projects to be working on so i'm sorry but i am, at this time, i am no longer looking for someone to collaberate with.
Cheers
Alex

Ok, so lets give this a try... If you guys don't know me, my name is Erik, I'm 33 and live in Oceanside, CA. I've been writing since the age of six, so I have a little bit of a clue what I'm doing ;) . I've read an obscene amount over the years, thousands of novels (fiction, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, non-fiction, etc) and tens of thousands of comics (Malibu to Marvel, Dreamwave to DC, IDW to Image, etc).
Does that mean automatically that I'm a good writer, of course not, but I've been filling post-its, emails, notebooks, word files, pen drives, floppy drives, spare napkins, etc with ideas for years and I decided a few months ago its nigh time to dig in my heels, get some scripts written, and get my creations out in the world.
So... over the last couple of months, I've spoken with over twenty artists, a few of which fit what I was looking for but when it came down to it only one really fit personality and style to one of my projects. I've posted on other forums, but not here what I'm looking for, so I thought I would give it a shot. I have a few projects that are ready to start scripting, as in I have characters, plotlines, etc, but just need to translate to script. Is anyone interested in working with me on any of them? The goal is to first get a submission package together to submit to the bigger indies and see where it goes from there. If we're gung-ho and want to go ahead and push forward while we wait for responses or get more ready in case we decide to go with a place that will only agree when they see the finished product (between an issue and a story arc) or whatever. Keeping that in mind, there is no money in this until (I'm too optimistic to say unless) the book is published, a company agrees to pay per page rates, etc. If you're concerned about creative rights and such, I would want to split the "creator" profits 50/50 with the artist (that would be any money that is provided outside of per-page rates for the book) since I know it takes a heck of a lot longer to pencil a page versus script a page... If we get more people involved (inker, colorist, letterer [I'm trying to do that myself], etc, I would want them to get some of that pot, too, though maybe not as much). As far as the overall rights to the property, that would depend on the artist's input to the overall product. If I write the story-line, characters, scripts, etc, and the artist is basically a "gun for hire" then I would want to retain 100% of the rights to the property. Input equals ownership, basically... Questioning plot decisions, pushing your beliefs on things, etc can help to push some of the creative rights your way. Of course I'm getting ahead of myself, but hey, I'm determined to make something happen and confident of my abilities, so why the heck not?!?!?!
Below are a few of the ideas I'm really ready to get going on. I have others, but I found out last weekend that I'm missing a couple of my notebooks, so I want to find those before I proceed (OOPS!). You will notice these are 30k ft level descriptions. Because I'm one of those odd creative types, I don't share ANYTHING without something invested from the artist (nothing vested, nothing gained). If you are interested in learning more, you will have to contact me via email and we can discuss further. If I can tell you're able and serious, I would discuss some of the projects a bit more.
PROJECTS:
1. Cime/Noir/Detective story with a hint of something beyond the ordinary. This is the project I have an artist already for and I've just started writing the script for the 5th issue. No, I'm not looking for an artist on this one; I just wanted to give people an idea of what I'm doing.
2. Horror Mini-Series. This one is inspired by the plethora of stupid horror movies that have been permeating the big screen for the last ten years or so mixed with my own brand of character development. To give you an idea of how odd my inspirations are the storyline came to me as a cross between a dream from a handful of weeks ago and a picture I took months ago. The goal on this one is 4-6 issues that would hopefully get collected into a TPB after the issues have been released. I was kind of in the air of whether to go for a screenplay or a comic on this one, so I'm starting with the comic. :o
3. Technology / Paranormal / Mysticism Series. Here's another one with a twist... I had this idea months ago of an ongoing war between good and evil in modern times. Straightforward enough, right? Well, a couple of weekends ago I found a notebook I had totally forgotten about brimming with information on a single creation from about 15 years ago. The end result is something I'm very jazzed about.
4. Horror / Suspense / Mystery / Supernatural ongoing. I had this idea a couple of years ago involving a character and the search for answers to some questions about his history. Basically he's searching for someone while being searched for himself.
5. Fantasy ongoing. A different take on destiny based on a novel I've been working on (set it down when the comic bug set in with a vengeance). A handful of characters, races, creatures, gods, magic, and mayhem.
6. Others... always! Once I find my notebooks with my source material, I'll be at it with some of those...
Ok, I've written a novel on this posting, so let me wrap it up... I'm looking for different styles of art, potentially, for each of the above ideas. If I end up finding more than one artist, great, I can handle that because it's almost like I just need to hit the print button on my brain to get some of the scripts out. To give you an idea, I'm getting ready to submit a sample script to Avatar to try to freelance for them. Read the details on Tuesday night, had an idea of what to write before I went to sleep that same night (as in I should have been sleeping but my mind was wandering instead) and yesterday on the train to work I wrote 1/3, on my break I wrote 1/3, and on my way home I wrote 1/3. Depending on what I'm working on I write anywhere from 6-10 pages per day and that's pretty wordy, too (if this posting didn't give you an impression, I'm wordy and I like it).
Artists, you don't have to be published, but you have to be confident in your work and, well, you've got to be good at what you do... I'm not saying you've got to be a specific style, but I've got to "feel" how it's going to work or, frankly, it won't. I'm not shooting for the minor leagues here (as in indies I have never seen something published by them in a comic book store), I'm striving for something bigger and with the right team, it will happen.
Thanks for reading my opus and I look forward to hearing from some pencil maniacs out there!

Hey guys,
I've been messaging a few people about this but I just wanna throw it out there to see if any lurkers who can draw might come across it.
I have characters, a plot, the beginnings of a first story arc, an origin story and a definite style. What I need is somebody to draw, ink and colour it. This is something that WILL be sent to publication companies in order to try to make some money, but if it doesn't that's ok by me. It will run on some sort of scale which hasn't been decided yet, but I only want a small share of any profits that may be involved.
There is also space for co-writers. It never hurts to have somebody else in the loop.
All I can tell you to do is drop me an e-mail and I'll send you off what exactly my idea is. Hopefully you like it and want to be in this creative process.
E-mail me at abarriault89@gmail.com with the subject as comic or somethin' like that.

Hi, my name is Declan Khan, I'm 24 and based in London, England. I am currently working on and developing four properties with two other creative partners and we are trying to format the material and pitches to be as all encompassing as possible so as to best exploit any and all medium/distribution options later this year once the work is closer to being finished. As such, I was wondering if anyone has any old comic scripts they could share with me as I am unfamiliar how to write in the appropriate format for comics and have not had much luck finding any online despite the glut of TV and film script sites out there. Not looking to rip you off, plagiarise or take anything from said scripts, just have no f'n clue about how to lay out a comic script compared to say a play or film scrpt. Anyone willing to help me, please drop me a PM or an email to declan_khan@hotmail.com. Thanks very much.

for the poster above ^^^^^^^^
i don't know if you have seen, but dark horse have a script template on their website. heres the link
www.darkhorse.com/company/submissions
on the right hand side of the page is a yellow border, where you will see in
bold lettering 'Script Format Guide' click the link underneath this, and you will have a script template.
you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the template.
good luck with your project.
It'd be awesome if one day I'd trip over a post in here that actually offers money for work ..
Some of the ideas proposed in here sound interesting enough but I simply cannot afford to work for scrap or promises of possible payment. Few self respecting artists will.
I'm curious whether anyone has responded to an offer in here and got something out of it?

Well the thing about that pro is that a lot of writers or artists who are already out and into the comic book scene don't need to look on forum's for publicity and collaborators. If you send a script to Dark Horse, they help you find an artist. So I'd be willing to bet that if you've ever had any publications done, you don't need to look around for first time artists. I know my project is going to be something that will be sent off to publishing companies, but until then I can't promise money I don't have!
Yea I know, the problem is that any professional artist isn't likely to respond to posts offering work without pay since they can't afford to rely on making artwork and possibly getting paid. In the past I've been paid 275 euros for 4 panel black and white comic strips. I've also made artwork that never got paid because I relied on people's word instead of iron clad contracts. Now, 275 is hardly the mimimum i'd be willing to work for but it does mean I'm not willing to work for promises. Generally speaking the art work takes up more time than the writing as well.
Was just wondering how successfull people are using this forum to hook up with artists/writers and actually making money.

Hi. My name's Hunter Peterson. I'm eighteen and am entirely unexperienced in comics.
I don't want to ask for help. But I have to. I have all these ideas in my head... and I can't get them out properly. I've plotted a potential ongoing series probably past the the sixtie's mark. I've begun the long road of scripting, and as I'm a sometime artist I've done some mediocre character designs.
It's a "superhero" comic, following the main charcter (an abused, abandoned and disconnected orphan) after being empowered by a bloody and violent superhuman battle they get caught in the middle of. (He gets superhuman, retrovirus-carrying blood in some open wounds.) I always thought that should happen sometimes, logically.
Anyway, his newfound power gives him a new lease on life, and he slowly slips into insanity. Along the way he gets caught up in the emergence of public superhumanity, enmeshed in the system that created them. His friends become afraid of him; he hurts the only person he's ever loved, gravely, and is forced to figuratively sell his soul to the system that made his kind.
It has graphic violence, but it is matter of fact. The focus is more on the minds of the characters, with several subplots brewing for the supporting cast. The final culmination of all this is the main character, Will, descending into full-blown supervillainy and madness. I have always felt that a story with a beginning, middle and end worked better than an open-ended romp. I do have the sequal plotted, but it's a major shift of status quo.
But I'm not good or fast enough at drawing to do it myself. I'm just not there yet. I hate myself for it... but that's not helping.
So I'm looking for an artist. They need to be great at showing the emotion in faces and bodies, and have a fluid style. My favorite artist is Stuart Immonen, so that's a start. It needn't be as stylized as his, but I need it to be as expressive, and have a similar sense of motion.
I can't really pay any respectable wage... but I have a plan. I want to completely finish the first arc, art, colors, letters, the lot. Then I'll take it around and see who'll bite. I figure a finished product is something that'd be hard to resist. Much less expensive to put out, much less risky.
And then, when and if it gets accepted by a publisher, you, the artist, can have half of my wage for each of the previously done issues. Fair deal, right?
E-mail me if you're interested at bakura_peterson@hotmail.com with either attached pictures or links to your work. I will definately reply, and if I'm interested I'll send my script for the first issue, and we can take it from there.
I do hope to hear from you all!

well I'd totally write up a contract for like 75/25 75 to the artist and 25 for me the writer, but again it would need to rely on the rig getting pubilshed as I have no money to fund it until then.

Just as we hoped, it looks like Twofold Comics' short story anthology series, Shrunken Wool, is shaping up to be a monthly title. Issue 1 will be available next week and issue 2 is off to the printer tomorrow. We don't want to let the momentum slow, so that meas we are now accepting submissions for issue 3.
We've already got a cover artist lined up and the first six pages spoken for, but with twenty six pages still open, we can't do it without you. So if you'd be interested in contributing to one of the upcoming issues of Shrunken Wool, be sure to head over to our website (http://twofoldcomics.blogspot.com) and check out our submission guidelines.

Hi everyone,
My name is Shannon Cronin and I am currently looking for someone who can pencil, as well as ink, his or her own work, for a comic book pitch I am putting together.
I am seeking something in the artistic style of Y: The Last Man or The Boys.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING ME
Contact me at spcronin@gmail.com
Include a link to your art. Preferably sequential artwork.
Include your rates. What do you charge for pencils and inking? Character design cost how much and a sequential page cost how much?
Include turnaround times. If you fail to meet your own deadlines, please don't contact me.
Please be able to follow the comic script down to the detail.
If the comic is picked up for publishing, would you be available at the same rate possibly for the next 12 to 18 months, at 24 pages per month? If no, please do not contact me.
I know it can sound harsh, but I am a very easy guy to work with. It's just this is my third comic and a lot of people that contact me, don't include this stuff.
Let me thank you for your interest and I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi all, I'm back again looking for an artist. I've found a few through this channel, so thanks to everyone who is working with me or has contacted me in the past. I recently lost my artist for my "flagship" book, which I've written so far through issue seven, so now I need to start over from scratch in the art department.
I'm looking for someone to work with me on a submission package to send to Image, Dark Horse, Avatar, IDW, and perhaps a few other reputable indies. If the book gets picked up by one of the publishers, I'd need you to be the artist for the book ongoing, so please keep in mind this would entail monthly deadlines.
The book itself is a detective story with a twist, kind of a mix of late night TV cop drama with some superpowered elements. It's a character evolution as the protagonist changes from cop to something more. I'll provide more details to artists who contact me once I've established they are serious, talented, and are able to demonstrate that they can interpret my writing well (nothing huge, but I'll explain upon request).
If you need to see a sample of my writing, check out my blog or DeviantArt, link below. Please email me directly rather than contacting me through the message system here.
Thanks,

Hi, I'm a writer looking for one or several artists to collaborate with. I'm working on an idea which isn't finished yet, so instead of trying to get artists to draw something that's entirely mine, I actually want to create something together. Here's the premise I've been working on:
A twenty year old student named Nathan is inhabited by a parasitic 'thing' that grants him superhuman powers (not the regular kind, by the by). While we're used to believe that this causes him to be either a hero or a villain, Nathan actually doesn't really know what to do with it. He already has a bit of an identity crisis, being stuck between a study he doesn't really want and the occasional soul searching, but this only makes it worse.
So what does he do? Well, what would you do? Some might use the powers to become something of a hero, others might use it to be the greatest serial rapist. Nathan does whatever he feels like, leading to both extremes of the scale.
If this sounds interesting to you pencilers/inkers/colorists/letterers, send me an e-mail with a sample of your work, and we'll discuss things from there. I'm already working on a synopsis, the character profiles and such, but this premise should explain enough.
To be absolutely clear: I want this to be a collaboration, something we might submit to Zuda, or perhaps we can finish two issues and publish them through Lulu.com so we can pitch it to big publishers. It's all debatable, I just need motivated and talented artists to put this together.
You can reach me at k.e.eyken@gmail.com
Later.

I have a comic book idea titled Lifespan. It competed last month on the Zuda.com (see links below) DC Comic book contest and came in fourth. The original artist has become too busy (actually I have not heard back from him in a while) to move forward with the project. I think it may actually be a good thing, because I want to go the more traditional comic art route (The Boys, Y: The Last Man, Fables, etc).
Lifespan got some local buzz here is Los Angeles county and a story was published in the Tribune about me and the idea. It was later picked up by AP and in turn I have been contacted by two production companies. Only one seems serious and they want to explore adapting the idea into a film or television series. I don't want to do that. I wrote it as a comic and I want it to stay in that medium, at least for now.
So I am looking for either an artist for hire, within my pathetic budget (I've got a baby showing up in 7 weeks) of $50.00 per character and $100 per sequential, or a partner who believes (see: watchmen) in the concept and will pursue and pitch the comic with me.
I will then take the character designs, sequentials and scripts and make my pitch to comic publishers.
I've rambled on long enough and don't want to bore you with my goals.

I'm looking for an artist to help bring my comic to life. I've been working diligently lately to write a few things. As of now, I have an introduction, prologue, a list of a few central characters, and issue #1 done.
This will be an unpaid opportunity, but credit will be given where due, of course. And, if this were to ever take off, we would be able to work out a compromise in the artist favor.
Much of the story thrives on scenery and character interaction as well as depth of characters. I'm not picky about what style of art one does, but rather if you're ideas would mesh with mine and we have the same idea of what we want to accomplish.
There is some adult content, so any artist that is held back probably doesn't want to collaborate. If you'd like more info and copies of what has been written thus far, please send me a PM. Or, if you're interested, e-mail me some samples of your work at thetested@hotmail.com
Thanks!

For starters, my name is Chase, but most people call me Chase The Drummer.
I enjoy writing and I pretty much have nothing but free time at the moment.
Moving on...
So, I've been writing for a while now, but lately I've been wanting to
make something a bit more comic book styled. Unfortunately,
I'm not too good at drawing and every attempt to draw a single panel
ends in complete and utter horror and failure... So, now I'm looking for
someone who'll help create one with me. You could help with the writing
too if you want, but it's not necessary. Also, since this'll be my first time
working with an artist to help make any sort of story, I don't mind if
you're not exactly the best at drawing, just as long as you're okay
and can make it clear what's happening and hopefully we'll both
get a lot better at it as we go along. I also don't mind what kind of
comic we end up making, but I do already have a few ideas in mind.
So, if anyone is interested,
then contact my email address!

I'm a soon to be produced screenwriter (2 scripts currently in pre-production) and I'm working with a very talented penciler on an entry for this years Small Press Idol. We have the premise and character bios written up, the story plotted, and I'm beginning the script. The artist is working on character and cover designs and we hope to have an official entry ready to go soon.
Now we're looking for an inker and colorist to join our team. Both won't be needed until Round 2 of the contest, but we're very confident that we'll advance and would like to have these other positions as part of the team from the beginning.
I don't have any upfront pay to offer, but this is a huge chance for exposure. If we make it to Round 3 we will see print (according to the contest page).
And if we take the whole thing of course there's some nice cash to be had. As the writer/creator I'm taking the smallest portion of any prize money and splitting the rest between the art team.
You can find some samples of my writing here: http://zeroice013.deviantart.com/
And check out the amazing art of Brad T here: http://www.comicspace.com./jugglersdespair/
Send samples of your work to zeroice013@yahoo.com and put "Small Press Idol" in the title. From there we'll get into more detail of the story and the art so far.
Thanks,
Brad H

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a comic book artist that can do "cartoonish" like art. Think Disney's Aladdin or Jack Lawrence's work in Lions, Tigers and Bears.
EXAMPLES
http://www.comicspace.com/javas/comics.php?action=read&file_id=71779
http://www.comicspace.com/javas/comics.php?action=read&file_id=173824
If you can do artwork similar to the style shown in the above examples and can do it for $75 per page, which would include color, for a total of $600.00, please contact me with your samples. Please, please, please do not contact me unless you can do this style of art.
I am looking for people who can read English very well and who can follow the script down to the last detail. PayPal is the method of payment I prefer to use. Sorry, but I don't do WesternUnion.
PLEASE NOTE:
If the comic wins the contest I will be entering it into, you must be available for an additional 40-60 pages at the rate of $125.00 per page.
Let me thank you in advance for your consideration.

I'm looking for a professional and reliable artist who can complete a comic book project that's already in the works. The current artist quit with no explanation so anyone interested in giving this a shot needs to be able to hit the ground running to keep things on schedule. The project is called The Midnightmen (http://midnightmen.blogspot.com/) and it's being developed by Third Floor Productions (http://www.3rdfloorprod.com/index.html). This is a paying job.

Hi folks,
I'm working with a company called Affinity Press. We've got multiple imprints of comics. What I'm looking for specifically right now is a writer. The Comicsdome imprint is for comic books set in Nigeria. You don't have to be Nigerian or know anything about the country to write for us. We need stories.
For more details you can send me a private message here or email me at fredzilla_lives@hotmail.com
make sure you put Comicsdome in the subject line.

Hey, I'm a writer (published this previous January - story not comic) who really wants to get into the comic scene. I love comics and all that, but I don't have a huge capital for going into the business.
What I'm looking for is an artist and letterer to help me put together a project. Once the first issue is completed, I'm going to send it off to a few places around the net to see if we can't get it published.
Obviously I have no means of payment but should it be published the income will be evenly split.

Two professional (or “badass,” if professional sounds too stuffy for you) writers with a developing project that blends slice-of-life storytelling with the superhero genre seek a confident artist. We’re open to all styles, but are particularly interested in clean indie/superhero style work.
Currently, our plan is to self-publish the initial product in order to showcase the material for third-party publication and/or production company interest. We believe in solid character-centric storytelling. This is a non-paying gig, but will include creative credit and a collaborative work environment.
Please send samples of sequential work to converseba2@yahoo.com

My name is Stephen and I've written an 8 issue limited series that needs an artist. I want to work on the first issue and when finished I plan to submit it to publishers for consideration. If it doesn't get picked up I will self publish so either way it's going to get published.
The comic is about a superhero team during WW2. I'm looking for an artist who can draw a stlye remenicent of Jack Kirby to get the proper old time look. When the book is published we will split sales profits 50/50.

Graphic Silence (http://graphicsilence.com) is a new website I've started, that is meant to function as a "News" site (as in CNN headline news, some news worthy event, or article on the web.) that presents articles as illustrations or cartoons. If you have a look at the site, I hope it explains itself. I'm looking for artists interested in contributing to the site, and hope "my pitch" below makes sense.
Our Mission: Changing of traditional media has, and will continue to provide opportunities for small sites to be successful. The dynamic illustrations and short micro-blogging-like article clippings offered by Graphic Silence gives readers an enjoyable way to browse headlines, giving the site an opportunity to gain readership from people looking for a lighter news source. In addition, the site hopes to promote readership by promoting openness of content, encouraging readers to use artwork from Graphic Silence in their own site. For example, a Blogger writing about a common subject could embed site artwork in her blog, to accent the blog, which with a credit link could result in more traffic to Graphic Silence.
What Contributors Give: Contributors to Graphic Silence would chose a specific article or topic recently featured online, and create artwork to accompany that topic. The artwork is then uploaded to the site with a title, short clipping from, and link to an article on another Internet News site. Contribute as much as you are able. Different styles, levels of vulgarity, and mediums are welcome; we only hope to create something interesting for readers.
What Contributors Get: Although I’m calling myself “editor” of Graphic Silence, my hope is to create a team of equal and cooperating collaborators. I assume most potential contributors want to know how they can promote their own work, and if money is involved, so let me explain as simple as possible. The two sources of revenue I’ve thought of for the site are online advertising and an annual year-in-review-type print product. Assuming the site is profitable (which it currently isn’t) I would want to pay for web-hosting fees of the site (about $70 a year at modest traffic levels) and then splint any remaining profit among all contributors based on a percentage of pageviews received on content pages. I consider myself an equal contributor. A print product is another possibility which I am considering for the future. Artists, of course, keep all copyrights of their artwork, and a link field will be available on each posting, so the artist can link to copies of that artwork that are for sale.
Please email mail@graphicsilence.com with links or samples of your work if you are interested in contributing.
Thanks. --Eric

Hello Ladies and Gentleman,
For those wondering, my name is Travis (21 years of age) and I am located in a town just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I've been an avid comic book collector and reader for quite some time now. I always seemed to have a passion for drawing ever since I was a little boy even before the discovery of comic books.
Comic books kind of re-kindled my passion and I re-discovered my talent by forming my own style of being an artist. My inspirational artist is Alex Ross, and I've come to learn to love his style. His style includes more of actual pictures to go off of his drawings and I always like the reality of his work.
To find my own style, my work includes taking pictures of my work but give a cartoonist, comic book feel to it rather than being a portrait. This is when I work at best.
I do some work for friends out of the kindest of my heart, and also drew a comic book of my relationship with my girlfriend.
I worked for a silk screening company, called T-Time Silkscreen and Graphics for 3 1/2 years and did some artwork for them to screen for shirts.
Here are some examples of my work:
http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/42/l_9d569e26a0d74ee68be7edbd32952c76.jpg

http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/46/l_e8e2895e7fb64db69093858f5f011569.jpg
Those pictures were just to give you guys an idea of the style I work with. I've did some work for people who I am close with free of charge and they did not leave dissapointed. The more I draw, the better I feel. To do some work to get it out there would be wonderful, and maybe something can come out of it financial wise where any of us can benefit from.
Thank you for listening.

I am an artist currently wanting to start a comic book, but I need a good writer!
This is purely just for love of comics, nothing to be published (though I suppose if it somehow got recognized then yes, there would be that).
You would have credit of the story and I would be doing the artwork.
I'd just need information on how you want your characters to look and any other idea you would have for the comic.
If you wish to send me a sample of your work that wish to be designed or you simply would like to get in touch and share ideas, you can email me at : adaisyfield@hotmail.com
Thanks! :)

You mention having problems with the dialogue... a lot of times if I understand the character from the inside, then the outside takes care of itself, and the dialogue with it.

Since this is one of my first post, I'll offer a short introduction to myself. I'm a 22 year old aspiring comics writer and religious studies major who is interested in tying in his eastern religion research and theories of moral relativity into a tank girl-esque ultraviolent romp through a post-post-apocalyptic planet. What I need is someone who might be interested in doing character sketches, intro pages, whatever, possibly even for a commision. I have a 12 issue outline and two issues scripted, so if you're interested in bringing something new to the comic community, (or at the very least enjoy doodling Hindu sadhus and murderous Marie Antoinette's duking it out with cyber-maoists and Tibetan Vajra warriors,) please email me at ryanjarrell@gmail.com with a sample of your artwork.

Hi,
I'm (if you couldn't already figure it out by the subject) an inexperienced comic book writer looking for artists to collaborate with on comic books. I'm open for any type of comic, whether just for fun, a web comic, self-publishing or even a pitch to a publisher. I'm also open to any genre of comic. I have no preconceived ideas so we'd both be starting from zero.
I love comics. I've always wanted to write/draw them, so I figure, it's time to start. I'm looking for artists who are-- well first, interested in making comics, but also want to have fun and be creative and try new things with the medium.
Obviously, (well maybe not obviously, but if I thought it was really that obvious I wouldn't feel I need to write...) no experience is required. I have none to very little myself. I've written a few comics and non-comic works myself but nothing that's been fully-realized (i.e. drawn) as a comic. No level of experience is too much or too little just a certain level of commitment.
Interested...? Drop me a line, we'll get started. benmarco@gmail.com

Hello; relatively inexperienced, rather unwealthy, and adorably naive writer here. I'm looking for an artist with a project in mind that they would like expanded a bit, either into a webcomic or submission format. My specialties are in character development, specifically regarding dynamic characterization and dialogue. I am also capable of writing some amazing action scenes if the plot requires it.

When people play Urban Legions (http://www.urbanlegions.net) (UL), an online role-playing game of super heroes and villains, what they see is the hard work of two friends who have spent gobs of time, a lot of serious (and not-so-serious) discussions and a little bit of money.* Phil and I would love
to embellish the game by adding artwork.* Unfortunately, neither of us consider ourselves very talented in this area, and can't really afford to hire anyone to provide artwork. And so, we are asking the artistic community for help by donating artwork to the game.
What do we have to offer the artistic community in return? Mainly exposure and experience. We appreciate any artwork submitted and look forward to using your work in the game. This is a great opportunity for your work to be seen by an ever growing audience.
When you contribute artwork for Urban Legions:
(1) Your name and website will be listed in the About-Us page as contributing artists.
(2) When used in an event, your artwork will appear at the top, centered under the title and above the body of accompanying text.
(3) The image will be a link to open a new browser window directly to your website.
(4) A by-line will be presented below the image, which can be associated with a link to your online portfolio.
(5) And, of course, although we ask to use the images in-game, we believe all rights remain with the artist.
Players will experience events multiple times over the course of the game, advertising your work many times. Not only will the pictures expose your art to the public, it will be branded with your name and weblink.
Already, we have several artists interested in contributing not only for the experience and exposure, but simply for the practice. Art placement will be presented on a first-come-first-serve basis, much like filling the empty walls of a gallery. The more you submit, the more exposure for you and your brand.
There are a couple of simple requirements:
(1) The image is between 200x200 to 400x200 pixels in size.
(2) Nothing too abstract. The image should compliment the accompanying text without the need of interpretation.
Other than that, we are open to suggestions and are willing to work with you.
If you or someone you know might be interested, email us at info[at]urbanlegions.net or send us a note via our Support page.
As much as we look forward to watching the Urban Legions community grow, we also look forward to building a bigger, better world to explore.*
Thank you!

Hi,
I'm an experienced artist trying to get into comics, and I'm looking for a project, primarily to build a portfolio. If it's something that could be published, that would be great, but I'm not adamant about pay, etc. right now. Just looking to warm up some graphite on a good idea.
I do a pretty traditional style (that is, not "cartoonish" or manga, or whatnot). You can see a piece of mine on my brand new blog: www.jonathanamoore.wordpress.com ...I realize there's only one piece up, but I'm working hard on getting more examples up (I do have a family and a job  ). Email me here or post to my blog if you're interested.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Graphic Novel Illustrators and Colourers,
I am looking for talented artists for a graphic novel titled “The Reach into Space”.
Short synopsis:
“An unlikely team of humans and robots are assembled to “man” an expedition into the reaches of unknown space to plant the seeds of “humanity’s” further colonisation of the universe.
Entire worlds will be changed. Species will be irradiated. All in the name of humanity.”
I have no publisher lined up yet and I imagine we would look into possibilities when the project is closer to completion. In the mean time this is a non-paying project.
I imagine the potential illustrator will have a detailed style. Realistic and slightly abstract would be considered. Illustrating will involve designing robots, and non-humanoid aliens.
I imagine the potential colourer would use lots of textures and photoshop lighting.
I have a complete script and a “universe guide”.
If you are interested please email me some samples of your work. If your samples look well suited to the project I’ll send you the script and guide. If you are still keen to be involved in the project I’ll ask for a few project-specific pieces, which will be used to select the artists.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me,
Cheers,
Cliffe

Hey, it's me again, and I need an artist. Do you like whimsy tinted with drama? Can you draw children and/or teenagers well? Does science-fiction and fantasy get your motor running? Contact me at mousepad09@yahoo.com and we'll talk. Colorists and letterers are encouraged to get in touch with me, too!

Hiya, back again, and still looking for an artist to collaborate with.
I'm working on a few things to pass the time. Recently I've been coming up with some plotlines in the Writers Writing For Artists topic in an effort to show that I'm not some hack who wandered in from the net. Still, finding an artist willing to work with a young, unestablished and unpublished writer is troublesome. So much so that I've been spending more and more of my time writing novelized fiction, short stories, and poetry, so I don't have to worry about artist-wrangling.
That said, I still have a love of comics and a talent for writing them. So I am looking for an artist whose work is of a passable caliber or better with the intention of creating a one-shot or a short series aimed toward a smaller publisher. More-so, I'm looking for a person who has a vested interest in the completion of this project, and is willing and able to provide input when they feel it necessary.
If you are at all interested in my services, I can be contacted via this site's private messaging service.

I have the first issue of a comic completely written. It's kind of a Japanese school girl turns superhero story. It is manga inspired, but by no means, does that mean the art has to be. I'm very open to any style, anywhere from hyper realistic to cartoony. I'm doing this for the love of comics. If it goes anywhere, all the better. If you're looking for something for your portfolio or just to practice on email me. discosnotdead@yahoo.com
Also thinking of printing and distributing through ka-blam/indyplanet. looking for an artist to collaborate with, not just draw what i write. there's plenty of room for characters and arcs in an ongoing series. i really want to create a superhero universe filled with all kinds of heroes and villains. i now have issue two almost done. any profits made would be 50/50. please email me if you are interested. i'll send you a pdf of the script.

Hi,
I'm looking to launch my strip. It's going to be based on the daily strips so I need quick fire four frame gags really.
Find attached an example of the comic.
As usual.... No guarantee of money, Just commission and your name on the work. But if you put a good illustrator and a good writer together, there's a good chance something good will happen. And that's a lot of goods!

STOP!!! PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE YOU CONTACT ME!!!
Hi everyone,
I am seeking a sequential artist, preferably someone who can also color his/her own work, for a 5 page comic book pitch. This is a paid job.
Style I Seek
It’s a Thriller/Mystery piece with a small Science Fiction element. No cartoon style art, please. I'm thinking for ths storyline something in the style of R.M. Guera's work in Scalped:
http://calebmonroe.com/images/08-11-05_making_good_jason_aaron/mg7-scalped_page_3l.jpg
http://calebmonroe.com/images/08-11-05_making_good_jason_aaron/mg7-scalped_page_4l.jpg
Other Styles That May Work Well:

http://www.newsarama.com/preview_images/dcnew/mar09/8/dmz_cv39.jpg
I will use these 5 pages in an attempt to secure a publishing deal for a 4 issue mini-series or trade paperback. If you are hired you must be available to complete the remainder of the project, for a total of 96 pages. If you are unable to make such a commitment, please DO NOT contact me.
When contacting you must include the following information or I will ignore it:
Links to sample of sequential pages you have done. If you don’t have sequential samples, do not contact me.
Include your page rate. If you don’t include your page rate, you won’t hear back from me.
Can you follow the script? If the script reads “Character A is wearing a beanie.” The illustration better show Character A with a beanie.
Do you meet deadlines? If you say you can complete the 5 pages in two weeks, complete the pages in two weeks. If you’re the type that is always late, don’t contact me.
Sorry to sound so stern but 90% of the emails I get always leave out this information. I must know your page rate and I must see sequential art.
Additionally if you’re hired I want you to be passionate about the comic book medium. You must be willing to agree to a contract stating that you will be able to complete the remaining 91 pages within a specific time frame.
Let me thank you in advance for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you.

Writer in need of a penciler who would be interested in doing an all-ages fantasy comic. An ability to draw teenagers and fantastical creatures well is a must. I am extremely flexible to changes in script and layout from the artists I work with. Depending on the quality of the art and the dedication of the artist, payment will certainly be up for negotiation. Contact me at mousepad09@yahoo.com. Looking forward to working with you!

Hello I am a comic writer. I have a couple of ideas that I'd like to collaborate with an artist with. I am also open to writing scripts based on someone else's plots or even just writing dialog. If you have an idea for something (webcomic, ongoing comic, mini series or etc) and are an artist who is looking for a collaborator I'd be interested. Just PM and then we'll talk and I'll give you my email address. Anyway here are my own ideas:
First I have a idea for an ongoing series for a comedy/horror/superhero comic in which the main character drives his motorcycle into a nuclear test site (in a parody of the origin of The Incredible Hulk). The area is not on any map because it's an area 51 style hush hush government owned land. A new type of bomb is being tested by the government there and the main character is caught in the explosion. The government retrieves him and then save his life. The life saving procedure does two things (besides saving his life) it gives him superpowers and horribly disfigures him making him look like a Living Corpse (which ends up becoming his new name). The government tells him to pay off the procedure he must work for them. At first he finds this unreasonable but eventually relents. From then on he is assigned to hunt down strange horror creatures and other oddities.
Next is a mini series based on some of the crazy stories I had heard from my father over the years. From his father the Episcopal priest tricking grocery stores into thinking he was a Catholic Priest so he could get a discount to my father accidentally destroying a caboose when he was a kid to his working in the restaurant and getting lifted up onto a bar by a hitman to being asked by the FBI about the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa.
I also have two short story ideas that are pretty rough.
I have a story idea about a former superhero who after getting shot in a robbery and looks back at his life as a superhero in a more simple (silver age-esque) time. He looks at how innocent fighting crime was back in the day in comparison to how dark times have gotten since then.
Lastly there is a story I'd like to tell set in World War Two but I only have one scene in mind. A American soldiers run away from a German fighter plan shooting at him. He is looking at the plan while running and ends up running into a wall. He wakes up in a pile of dead bodies and must escape but that's as far as I've gotten with that idea.

Hi all!
I'm the owner of X-Men Fan Site (http://xmenfansite.com), we're a couple days from completing the second draft of the script for our first fan comic that deals with Polaris.
We're seeking a penciller and/or colorist (although if you do both, great!) to do the art for our fan comic. This IS a paying gig, what we're offering is $200 and, if interested, I can build you a joomla website that displays your art (examples: here (http://jamiefay.net), here (http://marissamasella.com)and here (http://tainobasun.com)) as part of a compensation package.
We haven't determined a page rate for the simple fact that we feel our artist should play a process in paneling should they choose to. Our philosophy is one where the artist should have a lot of creative freedom.
In addition, the character designs and cover have already been completed.
Knowledge of the X-Men / Marvel Universe is preferred but not required. Above all, what we're looking for is someone nice to work with; someone with a lot of creative energy we want to build a relationship with.
If you'd like to read the script feel free to contact me via X-Men Fan Site (http://xmenfansite.com/contact) or here via my CBR profile Please provide a link to your samples in the email.
Thanks!

The compensation for both the letterer and colorist is a backend payment of $50 to $100 per issue depending on the sales of the book. The book is currently planned for a 10 issue run.

I'm available for both non-paying and paying jobs. The experience itself is worth it.

I have an idea for a rebel group of soldiers in their low 20s, set in current day, but in an alternate universe in which the Nazis won World War II. Preferably, I would like them to have superpowers.
I'm asking for an artist or two, unfortunately I have no money. I plan to self-publish these and eventually pitch them to a publisher. If that happens of course profits will be split equally
please PM me or email me at frogman27@gmail.com.

Need: artists for a mystery themed comic.
see my thread on "Scarlet city - my ongoing project" on this forum for an art sample of what we've already got put together (I'll post more finished art from this project in the coming days and weeks) If you're interested in working on the next issue of this comic, send me a line. I don't post my email address on public forums due to spam issues, so, log onto www.mysteryinscarletcity.com, and use the "contact us" link under the main menu to send an email.
Please note that I'm looking for volunteers, and, if you're still a college student, there's a good possibility I can offer you a way towards course credit for your work. In addition to looking for artists for interior pages, I'm also looking for artists for pin-ups and cover art (my website has short stories, in addition to comics, and pin-ups would be great for illustrating those stories). Contact me if you think we can work together.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for someone to do the art for my comic book project for submission to all the various comic book companies. In short: it's a superhero comic with a comedic tone.
I need pencils, ink, color, and lettering and the less people the better, so if you can do all of that, that would be great.
Most importantly, I'm looking for someone dedicated, who is willing to stick with this for a while. It's planned as an ongoing series. I can't pay right now but you would obviously be paid for your work if the series is picked up.
If you're interested, email me at czforester@hotmail.com and we can go from there.

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone to do pencils/ink on a comic project that I'm writing/coloring. This is a paying gig, however, I'm not rich, so we'll talk price if you're interested in the project. Initially it's for one book, that I want to use to get publication for an entire series, that hopefully becomes a paying project for both of us in the future. The money for the first book is coming out of my pocket, so all the risk is on me. Only contact me if you like the material, and are serious about helping me make this work. Also, if you're a prima donna, don't bother contacting me. I'd rather not spend money that I've saved up for this on someone who will make the experience miserable.
Check the script for the first book here (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=276874).

I am a 23 year old guy and im planning on self publishing 3 to 5 one off issues by early next year using kablam and comipress for the printing I will be going full color printing up 100 copies of each issue. I don’t have much money so that’s all I can really print. After I have the books I will be attending 6 to 8 cons next year having an artist alley table. I will also be sending the issues to different publishers to try and get picked up. As for this project is a dark humor zombie tale very over the top garth ennis style. I can’t pay any money upfront because it’s all going to go into printing. So im looking for an art team made up of other unpublished guys/girls to get this going and try and break into the industry. If your interested send some samples along to my email jasonrdyer86@gmail.com

Hey everyone. My name is Chris Jones and I write for a site called heroicmonkey.com. (http://heroicmonkey.com/) along with the man who maintains the site, Gordie Laughlin. Basically, we review comics and we're getting around to talking about cultural effects, etc. We're a tiny site right now, but we'd like to get bigger. So we're putting on auditions for new writers to contribute to the website!
For the quality of the work asked, check out me being a snarky creep (http://heroicmonkey.com/DC_Reviews.html) and Gordie being a completely civil human being! (http://heroicmonkey.com/From_Noob_To_Fanboy.html) What we'd ask for is a sample review of a comic you've read-recent is preferable, but I don't suppose the age of the comic really matters. You don't have to fit any particular style, as long as the stuff itself is good. We'll probably be accepting one or two new writers.
That's the deal. If you wanna write for us, send a writing sample to me at mousepad09@yahoo.com or to Gordie at gordie.laughlin@gmail.com.
Hope to see your writing and can't wait to have you on the team!

Anyway, Im a beginner penciller in the Denver Colorado metro area looking to start doing a comic book series to sell locally for some extra cash. My drawing skills arent too advanced, well, actually not very advanced at all but im getting better fast. I would also be willing to trade the art for me as writer and someone else as artist if anyone is interested. I would like to split the costs of getting the comic off the ground, and then split the profits 50/50. If there are any writers/artists interested just email me at moyermason@yahoo.com. Thanks for looking.

Hi everyone,
I'm a writer trying to put together a team for an ongoing comic series. No money is offered but I'll be submitting the product to some companies and shopping it around, with profits to be divided accordingly.
Artists, colorists, inkers, and letterers are needed, if you can do more than one of those things that's even better.
So a little info about the project:
It's planned to be an ongoing superhero comic series. The beginning story arc is all planned out, with future adventures down the line. It's got good villains, an interesting hero, and a good origin story to wrap it up in a nice little package.
The story begins in a familiar scenario, a corrupt city and mayor, with the last few "good guys" making a desperate stand. Two detectives attempt to expose the mayor once and for all with their ace in the hole, a police officer who had been taking bribes to push bodies away from the mayor. The cop comes clean, confessing the whole story, and giving the two detectives the chance of a lifetime. While in protective custody, the cop's family is killed. He ditches the police in an attempt to find the murderers. Using his informants from his time on the force, he tracks them down and brutally kills them. Finding no peace after the fact, he shoots himself, committing suicide.
A year later, the city has taken a turn for the worse, no small feat after the already sh*tty state of affairs. The two detectives struggle to remain hopeful as even their own department falls under the mayor's corruption. Compelled by a strange spirit, the police officer rises from the grave, urged to "finish what he started" one year ago.
That's just a brief synopsis of the very beginning. There's a lot more to the story, and I can't do the characters justice by simply describing their roles. I may be tooting my own horn a bit here but it's only becuase I think that this can be a successful, popular, and awesome comic.
If you're interested, send an email over to sproke1@yahoo.com or PM me on the site. Please include a link to your work (if you've done any) and a little bit of info if you feel compelled to do so. If you want to see more, just ask and I'll send you the full script of the first issue.
Thanks for reading my lengthy post and I hope to hear from you guys, there are a lot of talented people on these forums, and I would love to get a chance to work with you guys.

Looking for a sequential artist on a comic book, I plan on self-publishing, and eventually pitching to publishers. Money of course will be split equally when we get big. Email me at frogman27@gmail.com or PM me for more details on the story.

Hello all,
I am new to the art of writing for comics and have just adapted one of my short-short stories to the format.
I would appreciate if an artist with some experience were to look it over and supply their talent to it so that they may be able to lend me some advice on the medium, but upcoming artists are completely encouraged to take a whack at it if they so desire.
The piece, called "Foul Play", has a gritty, film noir type feel. No need to stick to conventions; the artist will have complete free reign over the look of the story.
Those interested can email me at joemonster25@yahoo.com and I will then supply you with the script. Thanks again.

Hi All, I just registered to try and find some people(s) to collab with on comics. This isn't for the money or fame...or money I guess
Anyway
I work full time, plus have a full time family so in my spare time I like to come up with comics, but I'm not a good artist and even though my writing skills aren't to bad, there are plenty of writers seeking artists...I am turning the tables on that
I use machinima style art to create sequential art (examples sure! right here (http://api.ning.com/files/IUeDXa6egQEsgawTos8BIa50HUJ52djd*vmsCaxIKwxsZJLlyU BEW1ZZS7mvcfsgKJUJt-OLs2l9*CBiCSuG1e-0XGp8sNxo/chapter1_page1.jpg)) and here (http://api.ning.com/files/IUeDXa6egQE2pJN2hVYbQLM2wnXrw7JvnLNA9otW3bCYqmb2bU MK9nA4w7PUb2h5Q3p83WhjUd*s0H69wr2wNtVuc0yXkjDQ/chapter1_page5.jpg)
That's froma comic I'm working on solo. Though I would like to get some writers so I can focus on doing the art.
I will read all ideas, but if you have some WW2 style stories, this would rule, I even thought of a Weird War Tales book, combining WW2 and aliens, zombies, monsters, evil scientists, but that's all backdrop for character building and down to earth moments.
If you submit a story the credit goes to you 100%, if you want to collab let me know that to.

READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE CONTACTING ME!!! - THANK YOU
Hi everyone,
I am seeking a professional sequential artist, preferably someone who can also color his/her own work, for a 5 page comic book submission. This is a commissioned job, based on total sales. This project will be a resubmission to Image Comics. Obviously, there is NO GUARANTEE that Image will accept the submission and publish the project. However, if they do reject it, I'll attempt to secure a deal with another publisher and negotiate a page rate based on your pay scale requirements if a publisher is interested in the project. But Image is where I see this.
ARTIST SHARE OF MONIES EARNED
Artist - If Color is Included in Art = 80% of monies made by Creative Team w/ 20% to writer.
Artist - If Color is Not Included = 50% of monies made by Creative Team w/ 30% to colorist and 20% to writer.
As the writer, it's not about the money to me at this point. It's about putting out a great product and building a comic resume.
BASIC STORY SYNOPSIS
In an alternate reality Los Angeles where money has been done away with and the estimated human life expectancy is now used as currency. When someone spends all of their “life span” they are taken to a discontinuation facility and terminated. People no longer trade dollars for necessities and wants, instead they trade years, months, days, hours and minutes of human life for things money once bought. People no longer work for money, but instead to live.

STYLE NEEDED
I'm thinking for the storyline something in the style of R.M. Guera's work in Scalped:

Other Styles That May Work Well:

http://www.newsarama.com/preview_images/dcnew/mar09/8/dmz_cv39.jpg
I will use these 5 pages in an attempt to secure a publishing deal for a 5 issue mini-series or trade paperback. If you are selected as co-creator you must be available to complete the remainder of the project, for a total of 110 pages. If you are unable to make such a commitment, please DO NOT contact me.
When contacting you MUST include the following information:
Links to sample of sequential pages you have done. If you don’t have sequential samples, do not contact me.
Can you follow the script? If the script reads “Character A is wearing a beanie.” The illustration better show Character A wearing a beanie.
Do you meet deadlines? If you say you can complete the 5 pages in two weeks, complete the pages in two weeks. If you’re the type that is always late, don’t contact me.
If you're too busy with other projects, please don't contact me.
Additionally if you’re hired I want you to be passionate about the comic book medium and this project. You must be willing to agree to a contract stating that you will be able to complete the remaining 105 pages within a specific time frame if the comic submission is accepted and agreed to be published by Image.
Let me thank you in advance for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,
I am looking for a colorist, inker, and letterer for a 77+ page comic. The comic is a steam punk themed world the centers around thieves. If you would like to read some of the script click here (http://helixandmeteors.deviantart.com/art/The-Highwaymen-Part-One-131035857). Also on online is part to of the comic. I cannot pay for the project, but I am planning on self-publishing the book so exposure could compensate if self-publication does happen.
If you are interested please e-mail me at theshortbox@gmail.com or leave a message on the devientART page I provided above (the link).
Thank You.

Hello all,
I am an amateur writer looking to break into the comic book medium. I'm searching for a talent who can provide art for a possible horror anthology in the vein of Weird Tales and Tales From The Crypt.
While I have more than enough story fragments to begin working on, other writers who are familiar with this genre or who wish to break into it are more than welcome to contribute.
If you are looking for a paying job, I must unfortunately tell you that no money will be given up front. If the series gets its feet off the ground and is miraculously published, then profits will be given where they are due.
But first thing's first: this is meant to be fun and serve as experience for all involved. So let's have them!
If you are an artist, show me a few samples of your work and I will send you the story outline(s) that I think best fits you. I'm looking for all styles... Gothic, modern, pulp, magna. I got a story for almost every one. I do not have many completed scripts at the moment but, as said before, I will immediately begin work on the assignment of our consented choice.
For the writers, you may send me a synopsis of your script(s) and I will determine if they fit the format of the comic. I'm not too strict when it comes to plots... they can be of any style or subject. I don't care whether it's a story about a blood-drinking, opera singing gorilla, a serious portrayal of a psychopath, or a blood 'n' thunder tale of a masculine warrior beating the crap out of Hell spawn demons in order to rescue his virginal bride! Anything your little wicked hearts desire!
Remember, folks. This is all in good fun. I am new to this and eager to learn about the business and get my feet wet. I hope to hear from anyone willing to work on this project soon. Thank you for all your time and consideration in reading this.
All e-mails and questions should be sent to me at joemonster25@yahoo.com.

Im an aspiring writer/artist, but currently my writing skills are far more honed then my art, so I'm focusing on that for now. I have a few different concepts I'm working on, and I am looking for an artist to work with. I am looking to make a comic either with pencils and inks only or just pencils, I just think it looks REALLY cool. I do have a self-publishing/marketing plan, so just send me a message and we'll talk.

Still looking for an artist. I can't offer any payment at this time but I will share creative credit. My goal is to get the work out there, get our names heard and ultimately get the comic picked up by a good publisher. Any payments will be divided evenly between the team. If your interested please contact me @ gryphons.lair@live.com. I'll give you more information about the character as well as my ideas for the comic. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.

I have an idea for a horror mini-series titled "West Grove". It'll only be three issues with #1, 2, and then 3. It's about seven teens on a summer roadtrip heading for the Grand Canyon when they happen upon a seemingly empty town--West Grove. One of the teens, Meyoko, spots a pale girl who later warns her to leave at once. Trouble immediately begins occuring with the dissappeance of one of the boys. One by one they are confronted by the horrors of West Grove. Issue 2 will tell about the three survivors who return with cops and exorcists and also how they attempt to retrieve the bodies of their friends. Again, they are hunted down. And issue 3--a prequel--tells about Debbie and how the town of West Grove came to be haunted.
I'll need someone who can color, pencil, and ink the art for the comic. But, they aren't requirements. Also, the art will need to be gritty and dark to fit the mood of the story. This comic is meant to be published at Lulu.
If you're interested, PM me here or e-mail me at dothackhasio@aol.com

I guess what I'm looking for right now is an artist and possibly a writer for a comic I am working on. Though I am a writer myself its always good to have someone else there to help. I would most likely submit the comic to different companies but I was thinking of starting a website and posting it there of course all profits would be split, and if anyone I worked with wanted to do a solo project and post it on the site as well I wouldn't be opposed. Please contact me for more information about the project, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to pay right now but I am hoping to change that down the line. thanks for your time.

Hello all,
I am seeking an artist for a project that i am working on, which for the sake of confidentiality, I will simply list the title here as being 'G.B'.
It is a different, interesting, dark and humorous work which i believe could really have a place in today's comic book market.
If there are any artists out there who would seriously be interested in working on such a project with me, please message me on here and i can subsequently provide you with my e-mail address through which we can discuss the project.
Thank you for your time,

My name is Patrick Tuller and I have just recently returned to work as a comic artist. My previous comic-related work has been primarily in inking and has been published by Big Bang Comics, Image, Antarctic Press, and some other small press publishers. Here are some examples of my inking and a couple of cover recreations:

I am currently taking commissions for single or multiple character illustrations (penciled or inked), cover recreations, and inking assignments. If anyone wants a cover recreated, just select any cover and I'll recreate it to your instructions, with or without logos, black and white or color. If you are interested in a commission, send me a PM for further details.

Red Slime Magazine seeks comic writers, artists, reviewers
If you're an aspiring comics creator and are looking to get your work seen, then Red Slime is the place for you. This comics community site, which features a monthly web magazine of short comics, was launched in March 2006 and has been slowly but steadily growing since. We've already put out six issues of the magazine, and we're looking for talented individuals to contribute their time and energy toward the future issues.
What we're looking for:
-- short scripts (1-10 comic pages in length)
-- pencilers
-- inkers
-- colorists
-- letterers
-- cover artists
-- finished short comics (up to 15 pages in length)
In addition, we're looking for the following for the Web site:
-- articles (500+ words)
-- reviews (500+ words)
-- banners (710x310 .png)
We also have a chat room and forums for those who are into that kinda stuff.
So, check out the site at http://www.red-slime.net . Click the “Submit” button in the navigation menu for details on how you can contribute. Note that you must register an account on the site before you can use the submission forms. (Although, it only takes a minute to do so.)
Lastly, as a consequence of the magazine being free for everyone to view, I'm unable to pay anyone for their work. Sorry. Ideally, though, this will be a good place to get your work seen, and the finished comic will be something that will look good in your portfolio. If you're already a professional comics creator with serious accolades, then this project probably isn't for you. However, if you're a talented creator seeking a little recognition, then this should be a great opportunity to get ahead.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to e-mail me at editor@red-slime.net . I'm looking forward to getting some new people involved with the project!

Hi, everyone:
I've already posted over on DW and CA, but I thought I should give it a shot here as well.
I'm a writer looking for an artist to collaborate with. I have a (IMHO) pretty good survival horror/sci-fi script that's just dying to be illustrated, but I'd also be interested in writing for a pre-existing project. I'm happy to work for free at this point, but unfortunately there's a flip side to that coin . . .
I can't afford to pay anybody up front. Obviously any profit would be split 50/50 (negotiable) if we ever got published, but it would have to be a risk for both of us.
That said, I think I've got a lot of talent to bring to the table. I just want to work with someone who's as excited about making great comic books as I am. If you're interested, e-mail me at mayberrya86@gmail.com and we'll exchange samples.
Best,
Alex

I was recommended that I get someone to collaborate with me, so I thought I would ask here if any artists would be interested in some sort of collaboration? I'm not looking for any thing super picky as far as style goes, however what I would ideally like is the series to be in black and white. I would prefer for the characters/artwork to be somewhat like the manga series Akira, although I will be less picky about that aspect. Panel layout will be pretty straight forward, nothing too flashy. If any artist has any interest let me know and I'll send you my series synopsis, panel samples etc via email. The series will have some graphic violence, swearing, and mature subject matter, so if that's a turn off, just letting you know that ahead of time.
If anyone has any serious interest email me at xaeonsx@hotmail.com

I'm looking to write an adult oriented 8-10 issue mini-series and would be interested in finding an artist for some sort of collaboration. The plot for the series is a little too much for a forum post, but basically it starts out with a small group of law enforcement that are given a oujia board that tells them where crimes are committed. The series starts with them killing some rapists they find using the board and then gets a little more ridiculous from there on out. My influences for the series are the movie "The Boondock Saints" all the Chuck Palahniuk novels I've read, and the film Akira (but to a lesser degree).

I need an artist to collaborate with on a project that could be long-term.
I want to make a serial comic book presenting the fictionalized adventures of my rock band -- like the KISS comics, only a different tone.
Sort of a sprawling spaghetti-western/swashbuckling/post-apocalyptic story, with vampires. Influences include:
Alan Moore graphic novels.
Spaghetti western films.
"The Tooth Of Crime" by Sam Shepherd.
Blade series.
Vampire: The Masquerade.
Mad Max.
Spanish-style magical realism (Garcia Lorca, Jose Rivera, Alfonso Cuaron, Guillermo del Toro, etc.)
Please reply to me at my e-mail -- jorgleach2@yahoo.com
Thanks!
Paul
I am a writer interested in hearing more. Please respond to jorgleach2@yahoo.com and tell me more about the project, and what you need from me.

EDIT: Found some people to work with, but can't figure out how to delete the post. Consider this post invisible!
I am an artist looking for a writer to collaborate on a one shot with (20 to 40 pages max - I'd like something that stands alone.) I don't have a story in mind, so I am happy to hear suggestions. I am open to a lot, but I would like to work on something in a mostly serious tone. If this sounds interesting to anyone, please email me at wil.whalen@gmail.com and tell me about what you'd like to do.
DISCLAIMER - I am looking for a project to get some practice on sequentials with, so this would be a leisurely paced project for fun. The usual promises of money if it makes money apply, but thats not the purpose. I am a freelance illustrator by trade as is, so this would be secondary focus for me.
You can see some of my work at doomsplosion.deviantart.com (doomsplosion is a collaborative project between me and a friend, so the work is not all mine, but you get the idea.)
