As some may remember, my name is William Hill, and I'm working on a series called The Alternative. I've already found an artist who is hard at work on a webcomic we will be launching in tandem with our preview issue. However, we do not have a colorist at this time, and in order to keep a consistent release schedule, we need someone to fill this position. In addition, I would like to offer the same position on a mini series that we will be releasing throughout the year. This part of the position will carry some pay with it, although I can not promise it will be a lot. It's just going to be a cut of the profits from the sale of the book. We already have the first inked page for the webcomic ready, and we're meeting tomorrow so that I can greenlight the 2-4th pages. The comic will go online once every two weeks, and will start when the preview comic goes into a couple of stores, and through our own eBay page.
Feel free to contact me at caisintlys@gmail.com for any information. If interested, post your portfolio or some work done just so I can see what you have done.

Don't pay any attention to them. If there is a will there is a way.
Try Jason Arron's blog. Here's the link (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=28341)to the first post talking about becoming a comic writer.
You're chances are slim... but others have broken in, why not you.
If you truly like what you do... keep knocking at the doors, one might open.

Hello, everyone! I am a comic book writer, with several projects in the works, including two publisher-approved and awaiting publication. I am currently seeking a penciler/multi-talented artist to work with on an eight-page horror short that was started last year but abandoned by my artistic collaborator.
I cannot offer pay, but I am planning to shop the story around to some anthologies upon completion, and all collaborators will receive an equal cut of any monetary profits.
The script is 100% complete and I have a letterer on hand to finish the story, so if you can ink and/or color your own work as well, the story will practically be finished as soon as you're done drawing it.
If you're interested, email me at evanh2008@yahoo.com
Thanks very much for reading.

Artist Required for Project
I am about to go into my last year in a Masters Degree of Screenwriting and I am looking for someone to do some drawings for a script I am currently finishing.
I have created a script set in 1800 BC Celtic Ireland. It would be loosely based around the likes of Conan and Slaine, but there are no creatures, supernatural entities, etc. I feel myself that it is an original take on these mythological stories which could have a life line past the one story.
I am looking for three separate artists to do the art work for 1 - Character Design 2 - Sketches and 3 - Digital Art. Or one person, if they have the time to do all three.
I am one hundred percent committed to this. Although it is a script I am working on I am also going to see about having it put into comic book / graphic novel form.
I would not be able to pay anyone at this moment in time, but if it was picked up I would of course do out a deal for a fair percentage. I have many other projects and would love to have an artistic collaborator on board for all of them.
If anyone is interested they can contact me at alanbarry333@gmail.com

Writer looking for artist(s) for new and original ongoing series about how having superpowers makes you not human. Thanks to the X-Men.
I'm looking to commission a submissions package to send to Image. If the submission is accepted, I'll need someone who can commit to an ongoing series for a percentage. While I can pay for the submission package, I do to have to work with a student's budget, so I'm looking for someone who can give colored pages for around $40-60/page.
I have a full outline for the series and first issue script completed. An excerpt of the script can be found here. (https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B0IC_yv0rkzmZTE1YTg4ZjAtZDJiOS00YmIzLTlkMjY tMGI5ZjZjNmE5ZTc2&hl=en)

Hey guys & gals.
A friend of mine & I have developed a project which we are looking to pitch around to independent publishers.
The story is a comedic, real-world, character-driven one - with touches and jolts of heightened Heaven-and-Hell spectacle. The script contains foul language, bad behavior, and political / religious insensitivity. So if you're particularly sensitive or opposed to any of that - this may not be for you.
SPECIFICS:
- A round of sketches & design tests
- Pencil & ink our 10-page sample script
- Willing to commit to creating the art for the miniseries or GN should it get picked up by a publisher. (Expected to be about 120-160 pages)
- Sketches & Pages to be finished by mid-May.
PAY:
- For the initial sketches & 10 pages we're offering $300.
- *Should the series get picked up*, we would offer your choice between a $25 page rate PLUS 1/3 ownership - OR - a $50 page rate plus 20% of any back-end sales of comic & GN copies.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- I am ONLY considering people who have SEQUENTIAL PAGES posted. Please DO NOT apply if you only have pin-ups and/or character sketches.
- STRONG PREFERENCE given to artists who can capture and illustrate a wide range of character emotion and expression.

Hello, I am looking for a skilled illustrator to collaborate with on a "superhero" graphic novel that I'm in the process of writing. I am an experienced writer, with one completed book (Perennials) and another on the way with a variety of projects still in the works. You can check out some of my material on my deviant art page here, including my novel:
http://francisbuck.deviantart.com/gallery/28771190
I have been working on this graphic novel project for going on a year now, and I have the basic concepts worked out, including the main arc of the storyline, the characters, backgrounds, themes, etc. The idea behind the novel is that, in the semi-near future (2017ish), a group of real "superheroes" forms in order to fight crime of steadily ascending levels. They have no superpowers, instead relying on technology and their own training and abilities. Although it is a "superhero" story at heart, the atmosphere and tone of the work is more comparable to a crime-drama mixed with hard science fiction. Very often the villains (everything from low level drug dealers to international terrorists) have nearly as much "screentime" as the heroes do. All the characters are highly developed, complex, multidimensional human beings, and there is just as much character development and drama as there is action. As of now, I have it broken up into five parts, or "books", which could end up each being short novel in and of themselves.
I'm looking for someone with a fairly serious and realistic art style, one that would appropriately fit the content and tone of the story. I have already developed a number of general designs for each of the superheroes, but these would only be something of a visual guide, and ultimately we would collaborate together on both the story and the illustrations in order to create a natural feeling of cohesion. I've already had a number of false starts with people who claimed to be interested only to later drop out; for this reason, I'm really only looking for someone who doesn't mind a commitment, and who really wants to see this through and hopefully one day get it published and on the bookshelves. I wouldn't be able to pay you off the bat, but the whole point is try and get the work published so we can BOTH make money (a fully written and illustrated graphic novel is much easier to sell than a regular book). If you're interested you can either post here or contact me at fmb137@hotmail.com
I've also made up some character profiles, having designed them with a fairly limited but nonetheless useful online character creator. These obviously don't represent the final designs, but they can at least give you an idea of the general visual style I'm going for.
http://francisbuck.deviantart.com/gallery/28991216
What follows is a brief (yes, believe it or not, this IS brief; I'm not even getting into each of the character's individual backstories, personalities, inter-relationships, etc.):
Book One:
Rise of the first true "superhero" (The Night) and his early battles against low-level street crime. Eventually he makes acquaintances with a wealthy businessman, philanthropist, and mathematical-savant (The Intellect) whom ultimately funds the Night with technology, including an extremely high-tech nanosuit filled to the brim with tricks and gadgets. As the story goes on, the Night eventually comes into contact with an undercover police officer posing as a gangster in the Philadelphia Mafia. By the end of the book, this police officer (The Justice) has joined the steadily building "team".
Book Two:
Mainly deals with the continuing growth of the team, as well as their ongoing battle with the Italian mobsters (through whom another, greater villain is eventually revealed; a Ukrainian international arms dealer and human trafficking ringleader named Kirill Kirilenko). This book also deals with the superhero team's growing media presence. By the end of this installment, two more heroes have joined the team: a young and emotionally damaged Japanese-American hit-woman (The Silence) that poses as a prostitute in order to murder her victims, and an Indian gun-buff (The Cobra, also an ex-mercenary and U.S. Marine) who spent his later years performing in gun-shows, pulling off miraculous feats of marksmanship. The latter is a previous acquaintance of The Intellect. The team also takes on an official name: The Vindicators (this is also the title of the series).
Book Three:
The Vindicators, now almost fully formed, has begun to focus most of their efforts towards bringing down Kirill and his international criminal operations. In addition, the team has become well-known worldwide, with massive debate, analysis, and controversy being devoted to the subject of their existence. The FBI is also now hunting the team in full-swing. By the end of this book, the final member of the team is introduced; an ex-MMA fighter that was later disgraced for accidentally killing a man in the ring. He worked as bouncer in a club when the Vindicators picked him up, and thus his title is appropriately The Bouncer.
Book Four:
Kirill and his criminal organization is finally brought down. The FBI's hunt for the Vindicators grows in intensity, with the first of several skirmishes between the two groups taking place. A subplot introduced in Book Three is further developed, involving a scientist working for The Intellect's technology company. The scientist (whom also developed all the custom nanosuits and tech for each member of the Vindicators), has created a brand-new technology based around self-replicating nanobots that can replace and then serve the function of normal matter. An accident occurs during the construction of the nanobots, however, and the scientist's body is taken over by them, with each of his cells being replaced by a mechanized nanobot version. This allows him a variety of powers, particularly the ability to become an intangible, smoke-like substance, allowing him near-invulnerability. Government agencies attempt to apprehend him for study (whom the media nicknames The Vapor), but fail to do so. Eventually several fights take place between The Vapor and the Vindicators (playing on the idea of superheroes without superpowers fighting a REAL supervillain with superpowers). The Vindicators fail to defeat him after multiple encounters, leading to their popularity in their public eye to slowly dwindle. Another character is introduced in this book, though he is only vaguely relevant at this point: an extremely wealthy socialite named Jeremiah Clayborne, whom has spent the better half of his life training to become a real superhero (though he has yet to actually do so). Clayborne also spent time integrating himself into various criminal organizations so that he may eventually bring them down one day. Clayborne approaches the Vindicators in hopes of joining their team, but is ultimately rejected, as the team does not wish to involved anyone else in their continuously growing problems.
Book Five:
After a massive opening battle between the Vindicators and the Vapor, the latter gives up (having become exhausted and mentally and emotionally drained from constantly running) and he is taken in by the government. By now the Intellect has also made secret contact with one of the Federal agents in charge of taking down the Vindicators, whom is questioning the meaning and usefulness of putting so much effort into stopping the Vindicators, who despite their flaws do seem to be ultimately doing good for the world. The character of Jeremiah Clayborne is further developed, having taken his rejection by the Vindicators very personally. He takes on an alter ego, Arcturus, and contracts the development of a nanosuit of his own similar to that of the Vindicators', though far more advanced. Arcturus initially poses a hero attempting to take down the Vindicators, but eventually his true nature and sociopathy is peeled back until ultimately he accepts and embraces his role as a true supervillain. The connections he made with criminal organizations earlier in his life have now allowed him to literally take over by force a massive part of the crime trade throughout the entire world. Several battles between Arcturus and the Vindicators take place, with the latter ultimately only being defeated when the Night sacrifices himself. Afterwards, the Vindicators (along with a newly escaped and reformed Vapor joining the team as the first true SUPERhero), continue their mission of fighting crime, along with their endless run from the authorities.

Hello all;
I have two scripts I am seeking artists for. I'd like to get both projects started as soon as possible, with the initial goal of building a readership online. Should that go well we can seek more traditional distribution methods.
Project 1 has a dark noir feel.
Project 2 is a highly stylish and fun superhero piece.
If you'd like to talk more direct message me. We can negotiate pay up front or we can come to a collaboration agreement. I'm open to either.
Thank you,
Nate

My name is Chris and I'm a writer searching for the right artist(s) for publisher submissions of a comic book series. I'm looking for 5-10 pages of completed work based on schedule and pricing. I'm currently working with another artist on Cover and Character Design, but I'm looking for a more realistic style for the interior. Must be dedicated and have some previous experience with interior layouts/design. There is pay, but my budget is fairly small.
To put a positive spin on it, this would be an excellent chance to earn a bit and add to your portfolio. Looking on toward publication, this is a fairly large project and my hope is to find an artist to continue to work with.
Realistic, character-driven (on-going) super hero drama. Action, Mystery, Comedy. Solo and Team stories. Excellent opportunity for an artist to grow his/her skills along with me on the project.
Please feel free to send samples of work to my email address below. I stand by my writing and would be glad to reciprocate with scripts, character profiles, etc.
Best Regards,
Chris

Hi everyone,
I am an artist looking for a writer to collaborate with, no money up front and a 50:50 back end.
My offer is: if I like your story, I will do a one page sample for free.
[PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY]
Send me a private message with a very brief summary of your project. Just the broad strokes. For example: it’s about dinosaurs escaping from their zoo [Jurassic Park], or a pair of supernatural detectives [X-Files] or a girl who murders two sisters over a pair of shoes [Wizard of Oz].
I’d love to know:
[1] Title: the title of your comic.
[2] Summary: what it’s about, no more than a paragraph.
[3] Length: how long its likely to be; a one shot, a 3 issue mini series, an indefinite series etc.
[4] Arc: how much have you written, have you plotted a beginning, middle and end?
[5] Expectations: your expectations of me and the project, where you see it going etc.
[6] Background: Feel free to tell me about yourself, where you’re from, if you’ve done this before.
[7] Questions: Ask me anything.
[1] Title
[2] Summary
[3] Length
[4] Arc
[5] Expectations
[6] Background
[7] Questions
If this sounds like more hassle than it’s worth then I apologise. Eastman and Laird both came up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, one of the most original and profitable properties of all time and still got sued by countless weirdos. There are trust and copyright issues and it is just common sense to be careful, when you ask for unsolicited ideas. Hopefully this makes sense. If you have your own conditions regarding your material, please let me know in advance of sending them and I will be as accommodating as possible.
If I like your idea, then I draw a sample page of your choice.
If you like my sample page, then we have a serious chat.
If you don’t like my sample page, I weep, wail, stuff my face with chocolate, watch sad movies by a log fire for a couple of evenings, stick pins in your effigy, burn all our photos, then move on.
I am a good artist, and this is a genuine offer. If you are building anything it won’t be fast, cheap and good, you only ever get 2 out of 3. In this case it will be cheap and good but it won’t be fast.
I am not fussed about money, I just want to get better and build my portfolio. If I like your story, and you pair up with me, you will get your comic page and we can correspond daily about the details of the project.
I am between jobs at present, but hope to be able to give you my full efforts and despite my situation, I have no desire to be a timewaster. If the project is not possible for me, I will let you know.
I want to do something original. It would be fair to say there are already plenty of superhero comics out there and I’d like to do something else. It can be as esoteric and verbose as you want.
I am very patient, and committed to detailed, realistic artwork. I enjoy Frank Quitely's attention to detail, Alex Ross's realism and Mike Mignola's minimalism. I have high standards for myself and I would like to be known for producing top quality work.
Best wishes
Stuart

I am working on something B-I-G. I know how easy it is to dismiss that statement as unjustified hyperbole, but I know if you were to take a look at what I've built, you will be inclined to agree that this project has massive potential. I am looking for a very strong sequential artist to join myself and two writers to begin the process of bringing a highly innovative digital comic book maxi-series to life. Compensation for your services can and will be discussed.
There is so much more to say, but for a taste of what this is all about, head over to janoscd.deviantart.com/gallery and crack open the "Janos" folder.
If you like what you see there, email me at janos.cd@gmail.com with links to your work and we will talk in detail. Thank You All!

This is a high-octane, deep, fantasy manga story, inspired by works such as:

Looking to post the comic on-line first to start up a readership and publisher interest.

I'm a member of a small, newly formed comic company called Infinity Comics. As we plan our issues and develop a strong team, we will need artists whose vision and talent match that of our company.
Our first comic is due for a June 21st release.
http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k529/InfinityComicsGroup/webpage%20images/heroantho.jpg
Come to our facebook page over at http://Facebook.com/InfinityComicsGroup to get a glimpse of our titles and some WIPs.
Our goal is to produce and release comics that stress action and adventure, with great art and characterizations. We hope to set ourselves apart from other modern comic book companies in this respect. For example our "modern" imprint, the Hero Chronicles, will have that sense of adventure we grew up during the Bronze Age of comics and Tales of Danger will feature intense thrilling action seeing in the potboilers, penny dreadfuls, pulp novels and Golden Age comics of days long gone.
Currently, we're in the development stages, as we've been in existence for only a couple of months as an official entity. However, in that short time, we have developed a strong team who share our vision and dedication to our proposed projects, which are listed below.
Let me stress the pay is based on Sales/Royalties with complimentary issues and extras ordered at a reduced cost.
The nature of the company at this time will be typical of start-up companies, with initial compensation to be based on sales after the product is released. However, the exposure and contacts that members of our team will develop in the interim will be quite valuable for long-term prospects. In fact, we have quite a few established pros who have contacts in the industry.
we need the following:
pencillers who can ink/color their own work
digital inkers
digital colorists
Our schedule is as follows... In 2011 we will release 4 imprint anthologies, one for each season.
========================
- The Hero chronicles (spring) - superhero, cosmic/sci-fi, supernatural
http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k529/InfinityComicsGroup/webpage%20images/herologo.jpg
========================
- Tales of Danger (summer) - pulp action, WW2/golden age, weird horror/supernatural
http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k529/InfinityComicsGroup/webpage%20images/tales.jpg
========================
- Fists of Legend (fall) - martial arts, historical, superhero, sentai/tokusatsu
http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k529/InfinityComicsGroup/webpage%20images/fists.jpg
========================
- Weird Wild Westerns (winter) - western, weird western, "steampunk"
http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k529/InfinityComicsGroup/webpage%20images/weird.jpg
And 2012 will see the release of various one shots, mini-series, a team-up book (showcasing 2 to 3 different heroes every so often) and a team book.
If you would like to obtain further information about our company and what we seek in team members, or if you would like to submit artwork for consideration by the team, please contact us at:

Guarenteed publication.
Artists needed for new series to be published in UK, US and Australia.
Hi creative type artistic people,
What the Flux Comics and FLUX UK comics are moving ahead with publication on a brand new original series – Junkyard Dogz.
What is it about you ask?
Junkyard Dogz is a madcap sci-fi tale which takes place in the far future on a planet that is used as a scrap yard for humanities spaceships and other junk they can’t get rid of. The Junkyard Dogz are a band of kids who live on this scrap planet and survive by hunting the giant space cockroaches that thrive amongst the garbage. The Dogz have the talent and ability to take any piece of junk and turn it into a working gadget. They have constructed and built numerous machines and vehicles to help them in their daily lives. One day a spaceship crashes on the scrap planet. The boys find the ship and discover an unconscious woman inside. They take her back to the “Dog Howse” and nurse her back to health. When she awakens she turns out to be more than they bargained for. The woman, Nut (Nuthalia) is on the run from the nefarious and infamous General Titus, having stolen information on his plans to annihilate an entire solar system in order to recolonise it with the now completely space-faring human race. Nut is part of a breakaway group who want to stop Titus. The fun begins when Titus turns up with his fleet of Dreadnaughts and sends a team of crack scouts down to the planet to retrieve Nut and her information prompting Nut to marshal the Dogz to fight back.
The story is epic in scope, starting on the surface of the Scrap Planet to the journey to its core in a search for an energy source strong enough to power a rickety junk spaceship into space. We follow the personal journey of the Dogz as they search for their origins while their bickering, infighting and manic natures play havoc with the mission. We will follow Nut’s journey as she grows into a mother-type figure for the Dogz, all the while running from the attentions of Titus and attempting to thwart his plans for galactic annihilation of a peaceful species. Nut is also hiding a dark secret from the Dogz. One which may call their loyalty to her into question.
The book will be full of gross out humour as well as kick ass action. Pitched somewhere between the tone of 2000AD and Tank Girl, the story will enthral, entertain and most importantly make you laugh. The OTT action will please the most ardent action loving comic readers and the sheer fun of the story will be sure to please everyone who loves comics.
Characters:
The Junkyard Dogz – Scraps, Scratch and Sniff (twins) Bucket, Lugz, Dingo and Repo.
Nut – sexy, catsuit wearing, space spy chick with a dark secret. Currently on the run from the attentions of General Titus.
Titus - Nefarious Earth Fleet General with plans to obliterate the inhabitants of a friendly, innocent star system in order to recolonise it with the Human race. Also, he totally fancies Nut.
What do we need?
Pencillers, Inkers, toners, letterers. FLUX and WTFC offer creator owned contracts, 90% of the profit of all books goes to the creators to split amongst themselves (10% goes towards the printing costs and the cost of putting the book together). The creators retain all the rights to the characters and story. We are in the process of securing Forbidden Planet as our main UK stocker and have a wide distribution network in the US. WTFC owns their own publishing and distribution company, so we have the reach way beyond that of most independent and small press publishers. WTFC and FLUX will have a presence at San Diego next year, so Junkyard Dogs, as a tier 1 title, will be front and centre in our booths.
What’s in it for you?
How about publication on 3 continents? That good enough? Full rights and 90% of all profits kicked back to the creators. FLUX and WTFC are drawing some serious industry attention recently. This is a chance for artists interested to really get your name out there and break into the comics industry.
Where do we sign up?

Tell me about yourself and your experience. Send some samples of sequentials you’ve done or worked on.
What we don’t want – Writers submitting ideas or scripts for stories. Not at this point. If you have an idea get a team together and submit a pitch to the above address complete with script, one page synopsis and some finished sequentials.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I self publish a book titled Nix Comics Quarterly, which I somewhat loosely theme as a rock ‘n’ roll horror comic. One of my goals is to create a book that sells equally well in comic book stores as record stores and other alternative venues. To that end, I have made the book an open submission publication, in hopes of attracting wannabe professionals, talented amateurs and artists who don’t necessarily fit the modern comic book illustrator/writer mold.
It’s an analogy that you’ll have to forgive me for beating to death, but I want each issue of Nix to feel like the comic version of a Ramones album; a rapid fire series of short and twisted fables. Here’s the free B&W PDF version of issue #1 if you’re interested in seeing what I’m getting at:
http://bit.ly/gnIIhx
I accept two types of stories with the following terms:
Shorts:
Stories that are one to three pages in length. I pay $150 upon completion for a Short if accepted
Features:
Stories that are four to Eight pages in length. I pay $300 upon completion for a Feature if accepted.
Rates are firm. (And I know that they would be low for established and or professional artists. Again, I’m looking for the young professionals, amateurs and any professional who’s willing to slum it!)
The Artist and Writer will retain publishing rights to the stories. I don’t want to own your ideas, just rent them. Here is what you're being paid for with your $150/$300:
• Three months of use in the next printed issue of Nix. Print runs will vary in size based on demand, but printing will be discontinued at the end of the quarter that it is released. (The last two print runs were 2,500)
• Black and White electronic versions of the back issues will be made available as free downloads from the website for an indefinite period of time.
• Individual panels may be used for advertising and marketing
Any reprints of the story after the three month period will have to be negotiated between the artists and I. Similarly, any merchandising deals (T-shirts, coffee mugs, Halloween costumes, whatever…) will have to be negotiated separately.
If you are interested, please contact me at ken@nixcomics.com. I would prefer if you used my pitch sheet to present your story ideas to me. http://bit.ly/eYFHK6
I’ll be closing consideration for entries May 15th.
Thanks!
Also looking for a cover artist for issue 3. Send me your best sketch of Brian Jones from the Rolling stones for consideration.

I'm looking for artists to collaborate with on just about anything! Sounds vague I know, but I'm getting back into writing after a few years of a career hiatus.
I've written various scripts including a supernatural ongoing series, a parody anthology about a space fairing Victorian, and stories I'm submitting to Viz here in the UK.
All I'm looking for initially is for people to bounce ideas off and hopefully develop some kind of collaborative relationship based on creative similarities and interests.
I'm happy to share my scripts with anyone who's interested.
If that's you please drop me a message. It would be good to hear from folks.

Hello all,
My name is Brendan Cahill. I'm writing a book tentatively titled The Inferno, and I'm looking for an artist. This project has been in the works awhile. The good news is that it is green-lit at a prominent independent publisher. The bad news is that the artist who was attached can no longer do it. Which opens up the opportunity for you!
The Tech Specs
Timeline is immediate. The book will likely be graphic novel-only, not individual issues. The first book is 7 issues long (154 pages), so it's a relatively weighty project. We're looking to get it out within one year. The faster, the better, of course. If it does well, there would be further books. Yes, there is money.
The Genre
The Inferno is what I call future-noir. Cyberpunk-y, sci-fi-ish, but with an emphasis on character and personal conflict over technological concepts. Mature readers. The language is explicit and realistic, and violence, drug use, and sexuality are dealt with frankly.
The Pitch
The future. The Inferno sprawls under a bruised red sky, a city of concentric, descending rings, modeled after Dante’s vision of Hell. Down in the back streets, Luc Rien, a young, down-on-his-luck mercenary has a chance at making big money--all he has to do is deliver a prototype cyborg panther to a rich scientist who wants to dissect it. But when Luc forms a strange bond with the panther, he has to decide whether to hand over the cat and solve his financial problems, or save the cat--which means double-crossing his employer, and getting himself into a world of trouble with the most powerful men in the Inferno. Nothing’s ever easy.
What I'm Looking For
Ideally, I'd like to find an artist who can produce complete pages (pencils/inks/color) or at least pencils/inks, but I'll take a look at whatever you've got.
Stylistically, I'm open. You'll have to be comfortable visualizing a futuristic world and its inhabitants. Realistic over cartoony. Character over action (though both is better). Professional--both your work and your work ethic. Need to be able to draw a cyborg panther.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, you can email me at bc (at) brendancahill.com. I'm located in Northern California, willing to work with someone in a different location.
Thanks!
Big Phil

Hello all, and thank you for your interest thus far in what I have to say. I've been searching the internet for about a month straight now, everyday looking for at least some new place where I could possibly find an illustrator/artist for my project. Now, the next line I'm about to say will probably turn a lot of you away, but I urge you to at least read this all the way through before you discard this plea. My partners and I are looking for an illustrator/artist that will for now work on a no-pay basis. The three of us have been writing for a long time; I have for over ten years as well as one of my othr partners. We always dreamed that one day our work would be published and to let the world decide if what we do is worth it. We as writers work for free, so no one is getting paid on this project as of yet. We hope to one day publish our work, and whatever profits we bring in at that point will be divided equally among everyone involved. Please, if there's an illustrator/artist out there that can understand that passion and pride in your work is much more valuable than a dollar amount, I urge you to send me an e-mail at BigBadBull809100@aim.com. Even if you have some doubts, e-mail me anyway and at least get a whiff of our project, it may entice you to stick around. All we ask is a chance, to give us one and take one yourself. Thank you for your time.

Hi. OK, the idea is, we do an issue, then we try and pitch it to some of the more accepting publishers, starting from Dark Horse and working down my rather extensive list of bookmarks. If it works out, then we do a 50-50 split on the cash.
I'm looking for somebody to illustrate one (or both) of these two stories:
1) A superhero/light horror story about a super-team with somewhat questionable methods. The overarching plot is an organised attack on the team from a group of their enemies, however there are many stories to be told before the final showdown, and some after. Currently one prologue issue fully scripted and more in works.
2) An epic fantasy story... I can't be arsed describing it here. Only marginally scripted, but very thoroughly plotted (if not to the end).
Any creative input will be welcome and probably sometimes requested )). Also, if you have any ideas at all for a story, then I will be more than happy to script them.
We might get picked up or we might be told to sod off. Either way this will allow you to add to your portfolio of sequential art, which is what publishers look for when they recruit people, and provide me with more writing experience.
Post here, PM me or e-mail me at ermol7@gmail.com
To whom it may concern, I live in England.
P.S. Writers are welcome for collaboration too. That being said, we can have fifteen million writers working on this, but with no artist it's gonna be pretty pointless )). That being said, I welcome working in a team.

Hello
I am seeking an artist for a Horror/Thriller comic book I am working on. I am also looking to turn this project into a feature film (I am an aspiring film-maker)
To fund this comic book I am doing an indiegogo campaign. http://www.indiegogo.com/Halloween-Nightmare-Comic-Book
what I am looking for is one page interior to help get the campaign funding.
I already have a live action short film I made which you can view here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CMWYXdo0TM
This is basically the opening to the comic.
This call is for the 1 page / 6 panels only, based on the happenings in the short film.
You can send some existing work for me to view at lastsunsetfilms@gmail.com
Also send me your prices for this.
thanks

I'm looing for artists to get my superhero universe off the ground. These stories are varied and there are a few different genres, with one storyline that is all fantasy without much to tie it to superheroes, and a couple horror-based stories and more.
Artists I'm looking for needn't exactly have a certain style, as I'm quite flexible in that department. In fact, a manga style is fine with me, so long as it portrays what is in the script. I will try an find a script which best fits your art style, but I wouldn't want anybody to feel they wouldn't be able to do it due to the genre their art falls under.
But note: my stories do have a tendancy to follow LGBT themes. Obviously, if this is something that you are not comfortable with, you should know and have the opportunity to say no before investing too much into this.
Compensation-wise, I am not able to pay artists up-front due to limited finances, but I do offer a 50/50 split of the proceeds when I put the book on IndyPlanet (and likely ComicsMonkey, with possibly putting them on Lulu, as well).
It's best to e-mail me at karamesser@hotmail.com and I would want a sample of your artwork so that I can decide which script is best to send.

Practice makes perfect.
If I want to develop my skills as a writer. I... need... to... practice.
I've had artists want... to draw my stories:
I have a 1 page GI Joe story in the works.
I've had an artist pick up my 1 page Ben Ten story, though the project got canceled.
I've had an artist pick up my quirky 3 page horror story for his portfolio so that his portfolio would have some diversity.
{BUT ... just to be honest, I haven't seen anything in print... yet.}
When the artist said he would like to use my quirky horror story for his portfolio, it got me thinking...and yes...that's dangerous.
Would anyone else want a short story for their portfolio? Just tell me what you want, how long you want it...and I'll write it. Horror...Superhero...Sci-fi...Fairies...etc...
I know you have your own projects and own ideals for stories, but sometimes you don't have time to pace it out, I'll do that too.
Yes... of course ...I have my own ideas, but I want to be more then just a one note writer.
The best thing about this... you don't have to draw it. You can ask me for something...I can give you my best effort... you can say "Sorry, not my style." and leave it.
All I want is credit for whatever part I play and a digital copy for myself to gaga over. If someone sees your work, it gives me a little plug too, and visa versa.
Thanks

I'm new to CBR and as it seems there is an abudence of wrtiters and few artists.
I have an idea that i think will meake a great read and a great comic. It's quiet dark and moody so if thats your type please get intouch.
I have been developing the idea for years and it has good flesh and bones, I've been writing feature film scripts for a long time but think this idea would suite great as a comic.
If you want to now more or are interested then please get in touch....I will say that when i find a project i do puck it up and run, i do not mess about or waste time, i understand people have commitments as do i but i do tend to throw my self in at every opportunity i have.

MyComicBlog.com is looking for writers. We are an expanding blog that receives about 600 hits a month. With that being said I am looking for some fresh content writers that would enjoy writing about recent comic books. Each writer will have their name on all of their articles as well as be indexed in the archives. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to write reviews and attract an audience.
I am currently looking for the following:
New Release Writers – This type of position is designed for someone who buys new comic books weekly. Requires that 3 articles be written for new comics purchased on Wednesday posted by Friday morning. This is an unpaid position.
Silver and Gold Reviews – We do have a column titled “From The Vault.” This is for any comic that is not a new release in the last two years. I am seeking a writer who would like to review the classic comics of the Gold and Silver age. This requires 3 articles per week posted throughout the week Monday-Friday. This is an unpaid position.
If you are interested please feel free to PM me here and we can talk more.

Hey, I do the webcomic Variables over at http://selfcentent.com/. Take a look so you can decide if your style complements my own.
I decided that while I attend SDCC and screw around a bit for the summer, I'd like to take a few weeks off the book so I need an artist to do a five page short story while I frolic in the summer breeze.
Specs: B&W story, five pages, half-sized comic pages (so, in reality, 2 1/2 full size comic pages). Final work should be sent over in straight inks, no grayscale (unless you REALLY want to do the extra work).
I can pay $75, or $15 per half page. I know it's not a lot but it's all I can really justify to spend on a site that doesn't earn me much money. Feel free to PM me if you're interested.

Greetings everyone, I’m a writer with a number of pitch type scripts that I’d like to get made and sent into a couple publishers, and I’m looking for artists and maybe even letterers.
The scripts I have ready include cape stories, modern crime, light hearted fantasy, less light hearted fantasy, and a bit of a send –up of children’s books. I’m currently working on an adventure story with supernatural elements, to the level of Indiana Jones. But totally isn’t Indiana Jones.
I’m willing to pay an artist what I can, and share in any progress or rewards that may come our way. I’d really like for a partnership to lead to something more long term as well.
If you’re interested, just contact me at Beardensequentials@gmail.com and let me see some of your work. Thanks!

Champion City Comics (http://www.championcitycomics.com) is searching for artists that are interested in joining our webcomics community to collaborate on some scripts that are currently in development.
That sounds interesting. Tell me more.
Over the past few months, Champion City Comics has received numerous scripts that are in need of an artist. The genres include fantasy, superhero, horror, crime, and science-fiction. We need an artist that can do pencils, inks, and lettering. The artist will be paired with a writer that best fits their interests. We do not want to pair an artist on a project that is of no interest.
I can do that! How much do I get paid?
Currently, Champion City Comics does not have the funds to pay artists or writers for their work. We are putting our funds towards self-publishing, advertising, merchandise, and other related expenses. If your project is something we would want to publish, then we can talk about making some money from sales. There is the possibility that other Champion City Comics members could help you with funding a self-publishing project. Be aware that those who fund your project will get their investment back from sales profits before you see any revenue.
Do I own my work?
Champion City Comics believes the creative team owns their work and profits should be split fairly by the creative team. We are a community that serves as a platform to showcase our talent to the world. By supporting each other, we believe we can succeed in this business.
What are your readership numbers?
Currently, we have 9,000 views per month and our numbers are growing rapidly. We are on pace to reach 80,000 to 100,000 views for this year.
Do you have requirements?
We would like to see a minimum of two completed pages per month. We do post webcomics that are not completed so that we can develop a fan base for those stories and to allow our creative teams the time they need to do their work. We understand people have commitments outside their love of comics.
As far as skill level, we want to work with people that are skilled at pencils, inks, and lettering. If you are only good at one then it becomes difficult for creative teams because the process will be delayed by recruiting others to complete the project.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: NO FAN ART
Do I have to work on one project only?
If you are confident in multitasking then go for it! But remember to avoid stretching yourself thin on projects.
I'm sold. What do I do next?
Send a link to samples of your work to TonyDoug Wright, owner and editor, at tonydoug25@msn.com. I will email you within 48 hours and will pair you with the right person.
Thanks,
TonyDoug Wright

I'm looking for someone to illustrate and letter a 6 page story involving science, magic, a large corporation and a cow. This is a paying gig - good people shouldn't be expected to work for free - but it won't be the financial highlight of your artistic career. The end result will be used as a calling card in several different contexts, and beyond the payment and general satisfaction, I will make sure your name and stunning brilliance are brought up whenever the story is.
You can read the script here: http://www.box.net/shared/qxpid4pealfkjj7etyeh - any suggestions or advice, btw, are also very welcome. If it seems like something you'd like to be part of, please contact me any time on giantmonkeyvirus at gmail dot com. The number one thing I'm looking for is professionalism, meaning you deliver what you promise when you promised it.
About me: I'm a professional writer who's worked for ten years across TV, videogames, journalism, and speechwriting. Originally from New Zealand, currently based in Washington, DC.
I look forward to talking,
Cheers

Greetings! My name is Searnold. I'm a Los Angeles based comic book writer who's been self-publishing my work for about 3 years now. You can check out my website if you want to know more about me: http://www.SuperSearnold.com.
Onto the important stuff. I'm looking to adapt one of my comic book series into a webcomic. The series is called “Behind the Hero.” It's a superhero parody done in a cartoony mocumentary style. The first issue can be found here: http://www.SuperSearnold.com/BehindTheHero01.php
(http://www.SuperSearnold.com/BehindTheHero01.php)
I want to do a web comic set in the “Behind the Hero” universe, but not necessarily in the same mocumentary format as the actual comic. My goal is to post 3 strips a week for a very long time, but let's do things in small steps. I'm starting by asking for 10 full-color strips, for which I will be paying $10 each, for a total of $100. After that, I'm going to put up a Kickstarter campaign in an attempt to raise the $1,560 it would cost to pay you to produce a full year's worth of strips (156).
So this job is for 10 strips, at $10 each, for $100 total. But I need it to come with an agreement that if the Kickstarter campaign is successful, you're willing to do another 156 strips at $10 each, for a total of $1,560.
If you can't do your own colors, I can still pay you $5 per strip for B&W (because I'd need the other $5 per strip to pay a colorist.)
If you'd like to get an idea of how I write, you can download the script for the first 10 strips here: http://www.SuperSearnold.com/Scripts/BehindTheHeroWebcomicSample.pdf
I think that's everything. If you're interested, please e-mail a sample of your work to SuperSearnold@yahoo.com. Links preferred, but not necessary. And of course feel free to e-mail me with any questions. I look forward to seeing your work!

A blog with an online comic. In fact, it´s a comic with 5 pages and from there, several parallel story lines can arise even if a reader thinks he has a better way to develop the history. Anyone can produce one or more pages and submit for publication.
The first 5 pages have no color or dialogue, so anyone can apply colors or estabilish the universe and the narrative as it deems best (but according to the rules established in the blog).
Each participant also gets a profile on the project with their contacts and brief history. We are also open for different styles from comics to manga.
For questions, suggestions, comments, criticisms, and such like, get in contact.

Hey everyone, Lance's Comic World is reshaping itself into an ongoing webcomic starring Lance Briggs of the Chicago Bears, and we're looking for an illustrator to draw the comic! While we cannot offer a flat rate, this project is going to be HEAVILY pushed by Lance's public relations department and has a large opportunity for advertising and possible merchandising royalties. If you'd like the chance to be the full-time illustrator for a comic associated with one of the biggest names in the NFL, send an email to chris@jsypr.com with some art samples and we'll be able to work out a schedule!
Thanks,

I look forward to talking,
Cheers
Colin

Hello! I'm now halfway through our first year with the Nova 619 which I produce for Cosmic Book News, Nova Prime Page and at our Deviant Art Group. Over the last few months the creative team has really expanded, bringing together so many talents across the globe.
Work is now starting on the 2012 session of stories - but with so many new plotlines to juggle and creative teams to keep track off - I'm looking for another co-writer/colaborator to join me on our team alongside Allyson's Attic and Byron Brewer with option to do their own plotlines as well as act as a sounding board for the upcoming scripts.
There's no pay - just a lot of fun, creativity and opportunity to work with some very talented artists who all love Nova and Marvel Cosmic with work which can be added to your existing portfolio without any restriction. So, if you think you have the Nova Force to wield this awesome power - then please note me or visit ---

Hey There:
My name is Jamaal.
I'm currently only looking for a penciler to work with me on a manga inspired urban "esk" indie project. Presently I'm in the concept art stage where I'd need existing concept art redone, and created for new characters. I'm a solo proprietor currently with a limited budget where I can only satisfy up to $30/pencil page.
If you could help me at all, that would be much appreciated, or if you know someone who might be able to handle this kind of work, than that would help me greatly. It's tiring trying to find suitable talent you see.
I will first need concept sheets. To give you an example of what I'm talking about, here are two character sheets from another project I'm currently working on:
[LINK] (http://keyjaycompound.com/Downloads/FLUR/Faura%20Viontola.jpg)
[LINK] (http://keyjaycompound.com/Downloads/FLUR/Alzion_m.jpg)
I will tell you now that the capabilities that I'm looking for are high, as necessary. Here's an example of a piece from the artist I'm working with now. More than likely, he will be inking or coloring your artwork:

If you feel you are a capable candidate or you feel you could help me in some way or form, submit your portfolio to keyjaycompound@gmail.com
Again, thank you very much for the read and looking forward to your reply!

Hi and thanks for your interest.
A unique, self-published comic book / motion comic is seeking an inker, colorist and cover colorist for four separate issues. The art was originally drawn by a kid and is a fun take on over the top action storylines and artwork . Part of the fun is to take the original drawings and apply a professional touch -- you will definitely be the better artist, and you'll ideally approach this as a paid creative experiment to make a strong statement in the comic book. While we have a few initial ideas, we are hoping to explore options together. More importantly, you'll likely have more experience than we do and we'll look to you for creative suggestions. We're open to working with one or several different artists dependent on skill level and availability.
LOCATION: We're based in Los Angeles, CA., and prefer to work locally, but will consider distant artists with a Skype conference call. English speaking only.
RATE: We know you are worth much more so hopefully we can find a balance between your creative and financial interests. Coloring four covers @ $50/each; Coloring 76 pages @ $20/page; Inking is still a question. 1/3 up front, 1/3 half way, 1/3 on final delivery. If a test page is requested, will pay a negotiated rate. Artist(s) will be expected to sign a contract and non-disclosure agreement in advance and provide w9. Paypal ok, other arrangements negotiable.
MARKETING: We have already received press from our soft launch and have hired a entertainment marketer to coincide with a fall release. Of course, you'll be credited in the email, web and credits section.
SUBMISSION: We're interested in a organic look - think materials and color palettes used in the mid 80's. However, we're open to other ideas that start there and finish somewhere more modern. Please send relevant art samples and 2-3 references by email to peartreeobservatory at me dot com. Submission deadline is Friday, August 5, 2011, notified the following week and first issue due beginning of September.
Thanks, Meg

GrayHaven Comics and The Gathering is looking for some new artistic blood. Our four issue of the acclaimed anthology is at the printers now and we'll be publishing 9 more issues by the end of 2012.
While submissions for new writers are currently closed we can always use a few more artists to help ease the workload and help keep our deadlines.
Each issue of The Gathering features a specific theme: Hope, Romance, Western, Horror, Sci Fi, etc. We feature many different styles of story and art but do tend to shy away from the super hero type.
If you're interested, please check out our website at www.grayhavencomics.com where you can find out much more about The Gathering. You can also email me direct at gatheringanthology@hotmail.com to submit.
While we're still at the non paying phase of our existence (booo) creators do own their material in full, our print run averages about 1500 per issue and we have a heavy con presence so your work will be seen, and pro contributors such as Gail Simone, Michael Lapinski, Len Wallace and Sterling Gates have contributed to The Gathering so your work will be featured along side professional creators.
Drop me a line if you're interested.

Hi, I wrote a short story for the upcoming anthology 'Cryptophobia', which is to be published by Viper Comics. The script has already been accepted, but we need an artist, inker, and colorist. The ability to do all three is a huge plus. I can't guarantee a specific amount of money, but we will get a cut of the profits from the sales, and you will receive an even (or more, if you multitask) share of that.
The story is horror, but all styles will be considered.
If you are interested, you can send samples to me at justinmichaelryan87@gmail.com

My name is Andy Troy, and I’m looking for an artist to collaborate with me on a comic book/graphic novel project entitled Grim Devices. I received my Master’s Degree in English & Creative Writing in 2008—with Grim Devices winning two Graduate Awards and serving as my Master’s thesis. Since then I have worked on short stories, novels and now this comic scripting project. For those interested in my other work, you can read my short story “Sac à Dos” here:
http://www.silverblade.net/content/?p=11
The story for Grim Devices is complete—all that remains is to type it into proper script formatting.
It’s a gritty crime/detective thriller, where the story twists and turns into something quasi-mythical and, I think, something important. I’ve created a complete setting for the story, Arc City, with factions and secrets and mysteries around every corner. The art style would be dark, scary but still with a technical skill and cleanness of line. The characters would be distinct and well-drawn, but in a hostile, uncertain, tenebrous environment.
My intention would be to pitch to comic companies like Vertigo, Avatar, Image, Boom! Studios or Dynamite Entertainment, who would be interested in this kind of long-term gritty storytelling.
Depending on how much input the artist wants to have on the project with regards to character design, panel layouts (although I have scripts prepared myself) and the like, it would be possible for the artist to have up to half (50%) of the creator rights for the Grim Devices series and its characters.
What I’m looking for is a talented comic artist—experience or publications are not necessarily required—to work closely with me on developing the Grim Devices property into a pitchable, sellable entity. For anyone interested in a close collaboration with me on this project, please let me know what kind of artistic projects you have worked on—or are currently doing. If you have a link to your portfolio or DeviantArt profile or something like that, please send that along as well. If I think we would be a good match artistically, then I will send you a script for the first three pages of Grim Devices as a sample for your penciling/inking/coloring of that prologue.
I can’t promise up-front payment, or an instant sale, but you would share in the creator rights to the Grim Devices property when we shop the project around to comic book companies. I look forward to seeing what talented artists are in the community!
For interested parties, please send to andy.troy@ymail.com the following:
1) a resume/list of your past illustration work, 2) a portfolio or link to your work, and 3) your contact information.

I'm a professor of physics who has had an idea for a long time of creating graphic novels based on the writings of famous scientists. I wanted to start with Galileo, since his story is the most compelling (You know, the Inquisition and all that.) I'd like to make these free to teachers and professors who teach physics and astronomy.
I'm a decent artist myself - good enough to storyboard the basic ideas, but I don't have enough technique to produce the final work.
Like I said, this idea has been on my back-burner for years now, and I'm finally thinking about putting up a Kickstarter to get funding for the project, so I wanted a few conceptual sketches to give people a sense of the final project. I can't offer any money NOW, but if it gets funded, I'll be able to pay the artist I select for the final art.
The visual style I'm looking for is black and white, dark, noir... maybe not QUITE as dark and noir as Frank Miller but... along those lines. (Not looking for Japanese/Manga style, as fun as it is to imagine a manga-Galileo.) I have a few mental images in mind for panels that I can suggest.
Ideally I'd like 3 or 4 artists to give me one or two concept drawings each so that I can give a broad picture of what shape the final work might take. They can be as rough or as finished as you have time to create.
Let me know if you might be interested or have any questions. If you could send some links or art samples w/ your first contact, that would be great.

Hi,
We are looking for artists to pencil, ink and colour Medikidz comics. Medikidz Ltd is a fast-expanding company set up to explain medicine to children through dynamic comics. We are looking for enthusiastic pencillers, inkers, colourists, letterers and art studios to help us create our books.
We are specifically looking for artists who will be able to match the artwork of our previous books (30 in progress). We produce two titles per month on average, so we are looking for regular artists. Consistency through the series is very important to us especially between characters, so we will not contact artists who we do not think will fit the established Medikidz style.
Please send us a sample drawing of the main Medikidz characters along with a sample of your previous work if you are interested. If you have any questions please get in touch.
You can find the characters and submission form at http://www.medikidz.com/careers-comic-artist/.

Hi Guys, looking for an artist to collaborate with on a fun but relevant superhero project. The comic is a about a teenage girl who gains super powers and decides she’s going to use them to become famous. This book will be a commentary on modern day youth culture, societies obsession with fame, reality TV and social networking. I’m ideally looking for someone whose style is halfway between a realistic style and a cartoon style, to give the book a sense of being half way between the real and fantasy. I also have some ideas on how we can experiment in the medium a bit to suit the story better, so I need a open minded artist. If you’re interested please email me at darker_nite@yahoo.co.uk. I look forward to hearing from you.

We are in need of a dedicated and capable artist who is willing to see the project to it's conclusion. The project is titled, 'Dalkrin the Wanderer' and is in the Fictional setting of Cartha, as part of the Tales of Cartha. Cartha is a full and detailed world created by we here at Bio-Rhythmic Entertainment and populated by several races some of which are unique, while others are familiar and well known in the Fantasy Genre.
The world is primarily high fantasy but elements of science fiction and other genres play their part.
The storyline of Dalkrin the Wanderer follows the Character, Abedias Dalkrin throughout his travels. Dalkrin, a drunkard scholar with an Irishman's attitude gains fame by means of his adventures and pension for collecting and telling stories. He has earned himself a place in the minds and hearts of Carthans in much the same light as our own William Shakespeare. Throughout his adventures, Dalkrin meets several interesting characters, Plays part in many historic events and even has his share of time travel, taking him all across the Carthan Continuity. All of this is framed in the story of the Archeologists who discover Dalkrin's remains and his large collection of hand written journals chronicling his life.

Hi guys
I'm new to the forum, so please forgive me if this question is out of place.
I'm working on a comic book story, but I lack the talent to do character sketches. So I was hoping someone with free time and illustrator talent, would be up for a small collaboration with me.
The comic book is called X-Ray Man and so is the name of the main character.
The ordinary world of this comic book is set in a futuristic 1940-60’s, and I was hoping for someone who can draw old school, yet modern¿
These are the characters I was hoping to get sketches of;
Good guys: X-Ray Man, Fist Man, Bird Drop, Miss Momentum, Superior Man, Skyrocket (skyrocket is a 12year old boy)
Bad guys: Doctor Invention, The Human Robot (old school Iron Man), Freeze Ray and Four Eyes (literally has four eyes).
If you only feel like doing one, that would be cool too. If you're crazy good and you want to do a whole comic book, let's talk. I do plan to have it published, either self published or by a small independent company.
I cannot pay you. But you can use the sketch in your portfolio, and if we end up working together and getting it sold. Then we will share any profit that would come.
See more about me and my writing here;

I hope to hear from you :)

Hi there,
You can check some of my stuff here:
http://sm0gy.deviantart.com/gallery/
I have a pet project cooking for many years now and I need talented, native english-speaking writer that can help with the story and dialogues. Think 'Sin City' or 'Walking Dead' or anything with the actual plot, rather than superhero stuff and we are on right tracks.
I published some comics here (Zagreb, Croatia -see Google maps if you need) - but, not enough readers, no profit, fuck it. To be freelance artist for many years in a war devastated country, that don't care much about artists, means that not-wasting-anybodys-time AND making some money is more than philosophy - it's mater of survival :)
So my plan now is to break into business with my/our own story, aiming at Image comics, but with my pigeon-english it won't go. I need a writer.
I have some skills, have some decent plots, I can actually write but in very
exotic language that will sound russian to you, but hell, I need you.
Now it's your turn:

PS.oh, here's a drawing that I did today, won't hurt ;)

Hello everyone.
I'm an aspiring comic book writer located in thr UK, and I'm always looking for new people to work with.
I studied Screenwriting as a degree and masters degree (not that you need a qualification to write, but I learned a lot studying at university).
I've worked with artists on a few strips, some that can be read on deviantart alongside sneak peeks for projects under development;
http://pauulp.deviantart.com/
I've had a strip commissioned for the small press magazine; FutureQuake, which should see publication in 2012 and I'm also working on an ongoing strip called 'Conqueror' for Flux UK - a magazine published by the indie publisher What the Flux?! Comics.
I have lots of other scripts that I'm developing, so if any artist would like to work with me then please send me a message on here or deviantart, or just reply on the thread.

First of all, I wanted to say thank you for reading this. It was a long time coming, for me to post this on here. Comic Book Zeroes, which is a web-series, needs you all. As everyone knows, there have been many (and I mean many) comic book adaptions. I come here to ask this question:
Has there really ever been ones focused on the guys that created our childhood affiliations from the ground up?
Comic Book Zeroes is about three fanboys who decide to create a comic book, only thing is: they lack experience.
Comic Book Zeroes (http://www.comicbookzeroes.com)wants to bring everyone and anyone who has participated from the indie comic book industry and bring them together. We have finished our first full episode and we wanted feedback on it. (http://www.comicbookzeroes.com/?p=28) Myself and co-creator Marco Flores, Jr. have created this world filled with dark humor and pop culture satire, and share it with you all.
Also to all artists, writers, inkers, and pencillers: we have created titles that co-exists with this world as well. We would love to have you come on this project and work with us on it as well as feature any or all previous work on the show. Any questions about working with CBZ, email me at Comicbookzeroes@gmail.com
Please guys let us know of any and all feedback, so we can bring much higher quality entertainment about this subject.
This web-series is for the fans of it all. The ones that sat in front of the theaters for hours to attend a screening to the guys that scan comics weekly. For we are in this together, and we hope you like it.
Thank you for reading--

I am looking to pay an experienced comic book artist an industry competitive page rate to collaborate on an already scripted four issue mini-series that I've created. It's a supernatural Western infused with a healthy dose of Sergio Leone spaghetti flavors, and a gamut of monsters. There will also be a generous profit share package included in the deal, with long term plans beyond the initial mini-series.
I'm here to tell stories. Simple as that. A passion and respect for the medium, and a belief in the project's potential success, are absolutely essential.
Currently, I've been published in Creepy #6 from Dark Horse Comics, and just sold another script for Creepy #7. The story in Creepy #6, “Commedia dell'Morte”, received numerous positive reviews from many of the well-respected comic book news websites:
http://www.darkhorse.com/Comics/17-266/Creepy-6
http://weeklycomicbookreview.com/2011/07/04/creepy-comics-6-review/
http://www.comicsbulletin.com/reviews/130989751880480.htm
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=user_review&id=3662
Here's the scoop:
--I'm offering $5,000 for the first 24 page issue of a four issue mini-series, plus some character and concept art. Schedule is flexible and can be discussed. Half of payment upfront. The terms for the remaining three issues will be discussed.
--The project will be shopped around to publishers as soon as a few pages and the concept art are ready.
--I'm a firm believer that the artist is a significant part of a project's success, and therefore deserves to benefit from any profits the project generates. A generous percentage share will be part of the deal.
--I will conduct interviews with artists before supplying any written material for him or her to review. Artists will be required to read all four scripted issues before entering into any agreement. It's important that the artist has confidence in the project based on the story premise and the writing.
--That's it. I think I've got a strong, fun property on my hands. I worked in the comic book industry for almost 10 years in retail and distribution, and have a solid grasp on many aspects of the medium, both creative and business. That, combined with a lifelong love of the art form, and input from several professional acquaintances, gives me confidence that this is a project worth making happen.
Feel free to contact via email at shugmonkey@gmail.com with any questions and additional details. And thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cheers!

I am a new writer with an original story seeking an artist. That's the simple version. To elaborate I am writing a comic (superhero based for those who would wonder) for my first time, I'm taking it rather serious and would very much someday like to see it published. While I cannot pay, I am dedicated and absolutely willing to share any and all credit for the creation with the artist.
If anyone is interested, at all, please feel free to send me an email and maybe even a sample of your art. I can be contacted at: candlejack13@hotmail.com
Just enter in the subject line 'CBR Seeking Talent' or something similar so I know what it is.
For anyone wishing a deeper idea of what it is I am writing about, a brief description of the story is as follows: Since the foundation of the superpowered community (during WWII) all powered individuals were under the jurisdiction of a government agency (except for villains and rogue agents obviously), but as time grows closer to the modern era the old rules don't work quite right for the new generation. Things have begun to go wrong, some 'heroes' have begun to act less like heroes. The main character of the story is a former Bureau employee who became the victim of super powered tragedy and is given the opportunity to balance the scales.
It's a lot more than that, inquire if curious. Thanks again.

Hello my name is Todd and I represent BlackMagicWolf Productions,
Currently we are in the process of making a comic book called Guardians, we have the three main characters drawn and the first basically written out but we could use is an illustrator to help make interesting pics of our characters together. These will be used to promote the comic or possibly be used as the covers for the comic itself.
We are also trying to raise money for our project so that we may be able to hire an artist to draw the comic itself but are more than willing to look at applicants now or even start now and will pay if the fundraiser succeeds.
If you are interested in either position please contact me with some of your work at wolfpack508@aol.com.

I have a plethora of scripts in a superhero universe which need artists. Every book would be put on IndyPlanet with a 50/50 split between myself and the artist (the percentage can be altered if there is more than one person on art: a separate penciller, inker and colorist would make the pay split to 25% across the board, for instance--which, of course, makes me prefer a single artist, but I'm still flexible).
Considering the nature of artists needing free time and the amount of scripts I have, I in no way expect any artist to commit themselves to more than one issue. Even if they do agree to a larger run, I understand that things come up and they have to pull out.
Ideally, I would find artists who are able to work quickly. When I wrote these scripts, I was under the impression that they would be released in 2012 (and as such they take place during an election year in the Obama administration). Considering rewriting that aspect would necessitate changing the nature of some plot points, I would rather find the issues still released next year. As such, I would not expect artists to give anything with high realism (though, of course, I wouldn't reject it, either). If anyone is willing to treat it like a 24 hour comic, I would not be averse to such an activity.
Art styles I'm looking for range across the board. I will take the classic Western superhero style, manga style, cartoony stle--whatever you feel will get the story across best--and in whatever medium, be it the classic pen and paper, photo, CG, etc. (though photo and CG do take a lot more time and effort and the former might not be conducive to the pay structure, since all the models would need a cut). The style I shy away from is stick figures, and that's because of its lack of dynamism and the fact that they would be easy enough for me to draw (though if you can draw gorgeous stick figure art, I could reconsider).
You can contact me at karamesser@hotmail.com if interested. I would prefer a sample of your art and an approximation of the speed you can work so I can figure the script which best fits your style.

Hi, I'm a 19 year old aspiring writer living in Australia.
I've worked up a proposal for what would be a 5 issue time travel/mystery miniseries. This series is my attempt to look at time travel a whole new way.
If you're an artist and are interested in this kind of thing at all, please e-mail me at
michaelroder@hotmail.com
and I'd be happy to send you a plot outline.
Thanks, Mike.

I am an amateur writer searching for an artist that could help me out with my action/fantasy comic/graphic novel. The artist should be able draw, ink and color. Digital art skills and and translating written work to graphic novel are a plus.
This job is asking for an investment of time and talent from would-be artisit in exchange for future compensation based on success (if you want specific terms, that can be arranged), though I am willing to help pay for expenses incurred. Once bills lessen or salary increase, I would be willing to pay out a small amount for work completed.
A lot of inspiration for this story comes from my fascination with anime like Dragon Ball Z and Eureka Seven and character-intensive novels like Orson Scott Card's Ender's series. I would like it to be more "manga-like" but I am willing to take the artists skills and preferences into account as part of "the team." Other than that, the art style is basically up for grabs at this point. The story it self, as a whole, is very long so this is certainly a long term project (perhaps years) and should our partnership be successful, I have plenty new stories swirling around in my head.
I myself am no artist, just appreciate it. I have a pretty decent idea on what I want character to look like and the places they will go but no sketches, save on I had commissioned a year ago which I will be happy to share with you.
Also one should know that there is no schedule nor is there no time period for this project to be complete. So the artist can take as much time as he or she feels like to get it done. Work at whatever pace you feel is comfortable for you. My goal at this point is to have a chapter made up by the end of the year (I have 8 currently written and around 150 potential chapters).
If anyone who is interested in helping me with this project and/or has any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to ask and I will gladly answer any questions. I'm looking forward to starting a great working relationship with a great artist who is willing to work with me.
Enclosed is a link to the wiki documenting some of my progress that should give you a better idea. I will soon load the character concept I had created for me of the main character and I will post an overview of the first saga of the story.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I'm a comic book writer looking for a collaborator. This could be an artist, another writer, or just a creative person to bounce ideas off of. You see, it's been a couple years since I collaborated on a project, during which I haven't posted much of what I've written, and, to be honest, I miss the energy of throwing ideas back and forth. The thrill of crafting story. My last collaboration was with another writer, so I'm interested to know how it would be working with an artist. My hope is that the designs would inform my ideas, which in turn informs the finished artwork, turning into this creative loop, but I won't know until I've experienced it myself.
I have some first and second (and a couple third) draft scripts in the works and ideas and concepts for a dozen more stories, both original and licensed properties, like Left 4 Dead, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Wars, Assassin's Creed, and a couple others that aren't springing to mind right now. (Though if those projects came to be, they'd be for fun rather than profit--don't want to get sued from the companies!) I have idea for a creator-owned superhero series, a sci-fi comics set in the future where the human race is being hunted by an species called the Grazan, who claim to have touched ground on Earth milena ago and left behind the creatures we evolved from, and are exceedingly difficult to kill.
Or we could ignore all these and start completely from scratch. I'm up for about anything.
I do however come with one stipulation: I'm not interested in cheesecake. It's something I think there's too much of in comic art. I don't want silicone chests on women that seem to defy gravity. No soft-core poses or gratuitous outfits designed only to show off a characters thong or aforementioned chests.
(Quick note: I think it goes without saying but I'm saying it anyway: I can't pay for the work. This is a free endeavor. Just wanted to get that out of the way.)
Comics are a collaborative medium, and I think it's about time I got back into that fray. Mainly, I want to have fun telling some stories through words and images. My scripts go through several drafts before I think they're done, so there will be some lag time between working on drafts to the final product.
You can contact me at cindrollic@yahoo.com. I respond to every e-mail after I read them; I know what it's like to reach out and hear nothing for weeks, sometimes months, but you won't get that from me.
All right, I think that's all.
Hello, I have been hitting the conventions after being out of the loop for over 12 years. This last year proved to be quite successful for being a freelance artist. Formally, I went to college and got a graphic design degree and have been working in the advertising world for the last 6 years. I have been working on this pet project for more than the last 15 years and finally had time to flesh out a plot.
What I am looking for is a writer to help produce a unique story that captivates the audience, surprises them with twists and shocks them by the end of volume 1.
The Hook:
Set in the 24th century. Earth's ecological system has fallen apart. Upon our first manned mission to Mars in 2030 we discover a few new elements. Among them, the discovery of a super conducting element that could eliminate the energy crisis. This discovery launches the first space race to research and mine the Mars landscape. Nuclear wars breaks out in the late 21st century over the last natural resources on Earth. Major economies fell and other rose to power. These mining and research facilities spread across Mars by private investments. In some areas Earth is completely inhabitable and others are plagued by decease, famine and radiation poisoning. Colonies formed on Mars and by the end of the 22nd century, the last remaining humans migrated to their new homes spread across the red planet.
Line: A new social order, organized by corporate greed now governs the planet.
The first of hopefully 3 volumes.
Volume 1: Fallen (the story of redemption)
Our story begins in 2368. This volume is about redemption, Jennifer's to be exact. She is a cold-blooded assassin who will in eventually have a heart for life, respecting nature, and courage to take a stand for others and finally find peace with herself at the end of her life during her sacrifice to save humanity.
Our story begins with her methods and follows her on hired missions, but eventually leads her onto a different path when she becomes the prey after discovering the company's devastating secrets.
My guess is to have 6-9 issues for each volume. Like a series of novels, no volume will have the same title.
For plot details, character profiles, and other interesting facts email me at cehnot@chrisehnot.com. I am quite open to new ideas, and would love to hear back from you.
The book will be a full color cover with a black and white interior done in a mixture of pencils, inks and markers. I already have a few colorists already to begin.
Sinker:
I have a "fusion" art style. Here are several samples of my work:
A sample comic cover layout. This baby is about to head to the colorist.

Not sure if this the right place but here goes,
Looking for Sequential Artist for comic book writer
I am a beginning comic book writer, looking for an artist for several projects. I am looking to put together a submission package for a new comic book series, based on my idea. I have need of a talented artist who wants to break into the industry with me or a freelancer looking for work. I have it planned out to be a continuous series based in an alternate 1930’s to 40’s noire style and setting.
As you may already know, we are submitting as a team to companies such as Image (as an example), so everyone gets paid on the back end if the book does well (stranger things have happened!). I have already taken care of the synopsis for the entire series; I have taken the care in completing several scripts for the first four issues. Please send me at minimum five pages of interior artwork all of which is sequential either based upon your own creative content or from some other project that you have worked on.
I have some pretty slick ideas lined up and I am just looking for the right artist to collaborate with me and bring this project to life. Thank you for reading this and I look forward to receiving and reviewing your sequential samples.
Sincerely,
Evangelos
MCCartoons@gmail.com
- If you are interested again please samples of your work and I will contact you regardless of wither or not I choose your work. If I do not it does not mean that I do not like it and may wish to contact your for a later project.
- This is a serious story line and I am looking for a classic yet edgy style to go along with this project.
- Please do not send me Anime as I will not accept anime for this project and will delete any emails that contain this art form.
- Payment will be discussed upon wither or not I choose your work.

Hey Folks,
You might know me from these forums or some of my indy work. I'm writer and letterer Mike Luoma – http://mikeluoma.com – and I'm looking for the right artists for 2 projects, a new 21 page science fiction story for The Adventures of Alibi Jones #2 and a new 17 page black and white Urban Fantasy/Parallel Worlds tale "The Shift: Angela's Story" which will appear in the upcoming anthology Earthbound Comics Presents #2.
Seeking pencilers and/or penciler/inkers right now. Find out more about the projects on my blog at http://glowinthedarkradio.blogspot.com.
My book The Adventures of Alibi Jones #1 just came out from Earthbound Comics. I've had stories in Spacebound! #1 and the Lady Fight Anthologies from Earthbound, as well as a story in their newest anthology Earthbound Comics Presents #1. I also publish books under my own imprint, Glow-in-the-Dark Radio Comics, such as Vatican Assassin, Good Samaritan: Unto Dust, Panthea Obscura: Deifornication, and more.
I want to be clear up front - This is not a cash job. Instead, creators working with Earthbound Comics on anthologies get a comp and then issues at cost to sell to make profits (akin to putting out your own book). There's more information at their site: http://earthboundcomics.com/index.php/submissions/ If this arrangement sounds beneficial to you, read on and see if you'd like to join my team.
Need to find the right artist to make the stories shine. If you are interested, please visit my blog for more information: http://glowinthedarkradio.blogspot.com.

I’m a writer/creative mind and I’m trying to get a collaboration of other creative minds, writers and artists to help me create a new comic book universe. There are no restrictions on what types of stories you would like to write as long as the stories stay within a Teen or Teen+ rating. Also, the stories do not need to be limited to superheroes since we’ll be making an entire universe so if you have stories dealing with wars, detectives, aliens, magic, angels, demons and etc. then you are welcome to this collaboration as well. (If you have a story dealing with mythical gods or goddesses, I have an interesting idea for you that would possibly give you more freedom for your ideas.) I’m not entirely sure how large I would like our collaborative team to be but I do know that I want to keep it under 7 people for now. Currently I have 15+ stories I’m working on with the majority of them being superhero based and I would love to have a team so we can all bounce ideas off of one another to help spark some new ones. I would like to have the team put together by the end of November so we can have a solid proposal to present to a publishing company by the middle of next year at the latest.
For those that are interested please contact me at joewebstar20@yahoo.com I have a bit of a busy schedule with school and work as I’m sure most of you do as well, but I promise to reply within 24 hours of you sending your email.
Also, I’m very passionate about this and I hope that anyone who contacts me will be committed to this as well. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my post and I hope to hear from you soon.
NOTE FOR ARTISTS – please attach some of your work to your email or leave a link to your work in the email. I’d appreciate 3 or more drawings.

We will also print some Ghostman comic covers and staple them to already existing comic books so they look like Ghostman comics for sale in the movie. You can also place your own comics for sale on the booth table to be featured in the movie alongside the Ghostman comics. We prefer an artist that would like to adapt the Ghostman screenplay into a comic book or graphic novel at a later date, but for November 6th we only need the cover.
Ghostman Storyline: Ghostman is about Danny O'Connor, an albino thief who gives up his life of crime to be with the girl he loves when an comic book artist approaches him to be his next superhero creation 'Ghostman.' Danny agrees to be the basis of the artist's hero in the book and helps with the story and characters which all happen to be real! When the supervillain 'Felony' appears back in Danny's life for one last heist, Danny is forced to become the supehero in his comic to get his life back to the way it was before.
Submission Details: Please reply here (or by message or email) with samples of your work, but only if you can get the cover done by November 5th for printing. You an also message me or email me links or attachments to your work with your contact info and company info if you have one.

Hey, I am from the UK, and am looking to create a comic book for my boyfriend. I was looking for it by Christmas, but have been told that this is unlikely, so was thinking more for February.
I have a rough idea on the plot, and have a character already created.
This is only for a present, and so probably isn't best for someone who is looking to get noticed or make a lot of money. I wouldn't be able to pay that much and would like to make that clear now. This is probably more suitable for people just starting out and want practise, or who like to draw for fun.
It wouldn't be starting for a few weeks yet, I am just shopping around to see if what I am looking for is actually available.
Contact me on x.ticklemepink.x@hotmail.com with pictures of your designs and the prices you would be looking for. Only serious replies please, no time wasters. Thank you

Hello. If any of you reading this has read my novel Nothing Men (I know some from CBR have), I was wondering if you could recommend an artist who may be into adapting it into a comic book. Any suggestions would be helpful, and obviously the art has to fit the tone of the story. Thank you ahead of time.

Note: This is a *PAID* comic book gig -- this is *not* a back-end "royalty-and-a-prayer" project (ha!). The work will be produced under a contract, with partial payment up front and remainder upon completion.
We're seeking an artist for a 4-issue comic book miniseries. This is not a "pitch" -- the miniseries will be distributed to comic shops across the U.S. and will provide great exposure for the creative team.
We're looking for a true collaborator; someone who will enhance the project with their talent and skill. You will receive the first script for review prior to signing of the contract. You must be able to receive payment via PayPal.
What we're looking for:
* a realistic style
* strong sequential storytelling skills
* strength at drawing human facial expressions
* ability to draw animals/creatures
* ability to meet mutually agreed-upon deadlines
You can see information on some of our other projects scheduled for release in 2012 here: http://www.PandaDogPress.com/
What we need from you:
1. Link(s) to your sequential samples (no attachments please)
2. Brief info on you and your past publications
3. Your page rate, specifying whether you do pencils or pencils/inks
4. Your schedule availability (e.g., when you could start)
5. Your typical speed of production (e.g., pages per week or per month)
We will reply to everyone who provides all 5 items requested. Even if you are not a fit for the current project, we will consider you for future projects as well.
To Apply:
* Please send the above 5 items to rob@PandaDogPress.com.
We look forward to hearing from all the talented folks here!

Kindest regards,
I am an amateur writer searching for an artist that could help me out with my action/fantasy comic/graphic novel.

I WANT A WRITER. I want a writer who can write a folk tale. I want that folk-tale to take place in WWI; I want it to be about a mechanical man. I want that mechanical man to be exploring the Old World as an extension of the American frontier and doing so through the war. I want this machine's heroes to be folk heroes and I want this machine to struggle to live up to his expectations in relation to them. I want the story taken seriously but not pretentiously serious.
Look here (MADEinUSA.FitzH2O.com). PM me if interested. Links to your work or samples are awesome but not necessary.
Let's talk.

Hey guys, My name is Keon James and I posted in this thread a little while ago seeking a fellow writer. Sad to say I didn't find one but I did end up writing the full 16 pages of script for the first book by myself and I'm quite pleased.
What I'm looking for now is an editor to look over my script. I would like someone to look over my script and tell me about any overlooked spelling mistakes, terrible dialogue, and just give me an over-all unbiased opinion about it.
The story is an action/drama about a man named Jack Taylor who somehow ends up in an odd alternate universe. His daughter (who's in a coma) goes missing, there are creatures out to kill him, a man who looks exactly like him, and everyone seems to know what's going on but him.
My email is: KeonJames@yahoo.com
Thank you.

Hi CBR,
I'm not sure if this is the right place for me to post, but I'm the Art Editor at a London-based comic company called Medikidz. We're a successful company set up to explain medicine to children through comics. We're looking for enthusiastic pencillers, inkers, colourists, letterers and art studios to help us create our books.
We commission three titles per month on average, so we are always looking for new artists. However, we are trying to develop a new "house style," so we're looking for people who can produce similar work to some of our most recent comics.
To download the trial packs and sample script pages, please check out:

Hi,
I run a webcomic and I'm looking for someone to help with colors. I already have flats and I will be doing a final pass over any colors to make sure they match up to existing pages so this should be pretty easy. I am paying $20/page. You don't have to be a pro but you should want to learn and have time to turn the pages around quickly. I would need about two a week. Send me a message with a link to any artwork you might have online. Thanks.

Hello Everyone!
Electric Jellyfish Comics is currently accepting submissions of web comics for possible publication on our website (http://electricjellyfishcomics.com).
We envision creating a website that will showcase comics from across the web and provide a platform where creators can piggy back off one another and help each other find new fans. For example, you are probably out there publicizing your work right now, well, we hope that you will bring your fans over to our site, where they can check out some of our work, and our fans can check out your work. We will also publicize your work via Facebook, Twitter, as well as some physical advertising in our printed books and a little bit of guerilla advertising.
Right now we're hoping to start out fairly small and run 5 strips, or one a day, Monday through Friday.
We request that you have a backlog of work before we start publishing. We don't have any requirements that work on our site is created exclusively for us, and we will link back to your site if your work is already out there. And we aren't offering any monetary compensation right now either.
Please contact me (mikeo@electricjellyfishcomics.com) for more info.
We look forward to seeing your work!

Who I am-
Hi, I am new to the comic industry and have yet to publish a comic, i am hoping to rectify that through this post. I am young and willing to communicate on issues relating with my writing.
What I am looking for-

Two ongoing, one a five issue or less mini-series. This would really be a learning opportunity for me and any emerging artists. A variety of styles is wanted. Upon receiving your email I would send through a sample script and all details would be worked out then. Thank you Ethan O'Neill - ethanoneillwork210952hotmail.com

We need five pages of colored and lettered art in an attempt to get signed. We are willing to pay our artist so let us know your rate per page.
Extras #1: Wheels of Evolution
This comic book is Smallville and Breakfast Club meets Runaways.
We finished scripts 1-5. We plan to submit it to Image, Dark Horse and several independent companies. If anyone knows any other small companies, please share.
But....before we do that, we need an ARTIST.
When we get signed, you will be getting signed with us. My friend and I are looking for an artist for the LONG HAUL.
We started writing a blog about nerd culture. You can follow us here at http://theillumi-nerdi.blogspot.com/?spref=fb .
Anyone interested????
It's fun read and a really great story. I really hope someone out there is willing to take chance on us.
Comment here or Email us at extras2124@gmail.com
Hi guys,
I've been toiling in independents for the last decade, and have decided to focus on landing new gigs for 2012.
My signature is a link to a Facebook album with sequential samples. Check out my deviant art portfolio (http://gworonchak.daportfolio.com) and current website (http://sorethumbgraphics.webs.com). I also run a weekly small press blog (http://sorethumbpublishing.blogspot.com).
I'm a hard worker who completes assignments quickly (1-2 pages inked a day) and professionally. I can adapt to any style, and am easy to work with (I'm too old to be a diva <g>).
I usually ask $30 per inked page, which is dirt cheap. My rates are negotiable depending on the project.
Take a chance on me, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Electric Aeons needs an artist to do some line drawings. This is a low paying position as we are a small start=up with limited resources. That means this is a good opportunity for an amateur looking to get some experience and some money for beer and Ramen.

Hello, I'm looking for a full time letterer for an on-going book that I've already written. (12 issues to start - I'm putting the first issue together now.) The pencils are done, but the last few pages of inks are being finished and my colorist is working on this as well. I'm self publishing this while trying to get my own publishing company off the ground in addition to writing another book. I'd also like to get a book of short stories going as well.
tl;dr
Bottom line is, I need someone I can count on for more than one issue and I can pay a maximum of $5/page. This will most likely lead to more work if you can do a professional job in a timely manner. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please contact me with samples at charltonsect@hotmail.com
Thank you!

I'm a writer seaching for an artist for a creator owned comic which would be sent out on submission to the indy companies.
It would be a plus if the artist is able to ink and color too. I am unable to pay up front. I have several ideas which the world and characters are already created but willing to hear more ideas from the artist to expand the world. Most of the comics would be ongoing and one is a mini-series.
The first comic book is called (for now) Distress. It's Alien meets Lost. The second comic book is called Knights & Outlaws. It is a sort of Fantasy series that puts King Arthur and Robin Hood together. The third book is the mini-series called Snow. It is Running Scared meets Brick with a hint of Snow White.
I have more so if you're interested please contact me at cjones0087@yahoo.com

An Armenian storyteller and a Canadian writer seek an artist to collaborate on a coming-of-age graphic novel about a young woman who lives through a series of tumultuous events (earthquake, war, near-starvation, death, destruction, economic upheaval, collapse of the USSR, a new social system, corruption, nepotism) and yet never completely loses hope for a better future. Despite her dismal circumstances, she experiences wonderful moments of humour, love and happiness. This is a true story. Think The Diary of Anne Frank meets Persepolis. We are open to artistic styles, with the exception of manga or big buxom babes.

UPDATE: Feb. 5
We want to thank all the artists who expressed interest in our story. We have now found our partner-artist.

Looking for a new artist for this series...My current artist is great but tied up with a busy new day job. Take a look at issue one to get an idea of the style I'm after. This is a naturalistic, low key, semi-autobiographical story...I have had several shorts from it published in comic book collections (Fistful Of Comics, Dunedin Comic Collective) so I can get us published there. Obviously the goal is to get full issues published and I'm confident we can achieve this. Email me if you're keen and I'll fill you in on payment details etc: danielbrader@hotmail.com

Catalytic Productions Comics Studio is an up-and-coming group of aspiring comics creators from across the globe, whose aims are to gain experience doing what we love and to entertain others with a wide variety of quality comics.
We are currently searching for artists to help us realise this ambition. We are working on a number of short comics of different genres and subject matters which are in need of an artist to do pencils. (Inking is a bonus but not required). Artists of all styles and skill levels are equally welcome to apply. Most projects are in the form of a plotted and panelled script, but these are fully open to input and interpretation from the artist. Our studio has a strong emphasis on collaboration and not on assembly-line comics creation.
Unfortunately we cannot offer payment for working with us, as we do all of our projects for free and don't make or plan to make any money from them. However, from working with us you will gain experience, add to your portfolio and have the satisfaction of seeing your name on a finished project. We're starting small, but if you stick with us, who knows where we might go to. :)
For more information or to apply contact catalyticproductions@gmail.com. You can also visit our website (http://cp.emihaumut.com/) to get a feel for some of the projects we're working on.
We look forward to having you with us :D

ARTISTS, INKERS, COLORISTS, CONCEPT ARTISTS and PAINTERS!
Hi!
Later this year I'm going to publish two trade paperbacks featuring the Golden Gang, a superhero group created mostly by me. I won't have time to do all of it myself so I'm looking for artists, colorists, inkers and those that do all of it themselves.
The first TPB is scheduled for sometime between the middle of the year and autumn/fall, and the other for close to the end of the year. Each TPB consists of two stories divided into three parts of 10 to 19 pages.
It's basically a typical superhero story but I like a lot of varied styles som if you're interested, just contact me even if you don't think your style is what I might be looking for.
The stories in brief:
The first tale takes place all over the world and partially in other places of our universe from the time of the ancient mesoamerican indians up until 2001 and the debut of the group. My goal is to draw the first and third parts myself.
The second story takes place first in Melancon, a city in France, then in and around the groups headquarters, a texan ranch as they are visited first by aliens and then by a werewolf.
The third story takes place in space aboard starships and on alien planets. Most of the designs for this story will be left up to the artists.
The last tale is set in New York and has plenty of monstrous fantasy creatures running amok. Their looks will be mostly up to the artists.
Pay will vary. I have set aside a specific amount in my currency (swedish krona) for each role. 230Kr/page for artists, 115Kr/page for inkers and 115Kr/page for colorists.
As of the writing of this ad this comes to 33US $ for artists and 16.5US $ for inkers and colorists. This will of course vary, especially with the world economy being as it is right now, but I will pay a minimum sum regardless and as much as possible when the rates are more favorable. The exact minimum will be set later this month.
The TPB's will be sold with a small profit margin and all profits will be divided according to the amount of work done for as long as the TPBs sell. I will not keep any of the profits myself.
I will print the TPB's at Ka-Blam and all contributors will recieve 1 complimentary copy of the ones they've been a part of. I might just send extra money for you to buy through Ka-Blam instead of me having to order them to Sweden and then send them out to everyone around the globe.
It will be distributed through Comicsmonkey and be available as downloads through Ka-Blam's service.
I was thinking of paying per page when you show me a low resolution version of a finished page, and when you've recieved the payment you'll send me the full resolution version (300dpi). More information about the technical details will be coming later for those that want to work with me.
Here's a pdf of character designs and such: http://www.griffindesign.org/GGcharsheets1.pdf
Here's a pdf of the first 6 scripts: http://www.griffindesign.org/GGscripts1english.pdf
If you're interested mail me at slokum@hotmail.com with a link to a gallery, forum post or similar wich ha samples of your art or comics. For artists I wish to see 2 pages of comic book art (sequentials), preferably one of action and one showing quiter moments. For inkers I want to see 2 pages of samples of your inks over a tight penciller and a loose penciller. For colorists I'dlike to see samples of coloring of night scenes and day scenes.
If you don't have anything online you can contact me through MSN messenger via the same adress and send it that way.
Id also like a rough estimate of what time it takes you to do a full page, and how much you want to do, in terms of number of pages.
If you read swedish you can look at some of the behind the scenss work here: http://www.scifinytt.se/forum/index.php?showtopic=5955
Thanks for reading!
Thanks to everyone that replied. I will email everyone that replied.

Hello, CBR! It has been awhile since I last posted here. My name is Brian Brinlee and I am a freelance comic artist. I have been in the industry for a few years now and have been published several times. I have been working on a GN but due to unfortunate circumstances, the creator has had to halt the book. So for the first time in almost two years, I have a big hole in my schedule. Which means I am available! Below are samples of my work. I am mostly a penciler but am comfortable doing inks and colors. I am available for sequentials, covers, pin-ups, character design, short stories or long projects. You can check out my entire gallery here: http://taman88.deviantart.com/gallery/469643?offset=0
Feel free to email me at brian_brinlee@yahoo.com
My rates are very reasonable.

Looking for an artist to collaborate with for a new cosmic science fiction/superhero ongoing that I'm looking to present to a few publishers within the next two months. I'm currently redrafting the first two issues, while continously plotting the first four story arcs of the book, which concludes up to issue 24.
I'm looking for a b&w interior artist, who can pencil and ink. I'm not into the anime style, but everything else I'll take a look at.
Let me know if this is of interest to anyone, and contact via e-mail at devindrover@gmail.com to send sample portfolio work and to recieve a snyposis and script.
Thanks,
- Devin

Hi,
I am looking for someone like me, but who can draw. And does it very much in their spare time a I can't afford to pay. In order to "shop round" I've written a 20 page 'prologue' setting the scene and giving some story hooks. I have an idea for a story that I can describe as a cross between gears of war and sharpe. A sci-go war tale set in an alternate fantasy land, with human remnants fighting against monsters for their survival. The look, tech and majority of the characters are Victorian age soldiers and their uniform and equipment are fitting of that era.
I can't really say much more than that. For further please e-mail me a sample of your work and a bit about yourself and we'll get started!

Thanks!!

Many use this thread in a realistic way, with good purpose and results -Yay!
I'm not posting this for you, for the seasoned folk. BUT if this is your first go-round - if you've found this thread because you've got a brilliant idea, you just need the right artist, and let's see how this comic thing works... Here is an article you should read by renowned artist Steve Bissette. Not meant to be mean - just to help you be more realistic: http://srbissette.com/?p=13107
It's good to know what it is you are asking for.
And since you shouldn't post in this thread without seeking talent - I'm still looking for the right artist for a new Alibi Jones story for issue two - coming out later this year from Earthbound Comics. If you want to draw a science fiction adventure story of a type that "at times makes you wonder if you are reading some lost work by Clarke, Asimov, or Heinlein" (amazon.com) and "brings to mind the lighter works of sci-fi legends such as Henry Kuttner or Ray Bradbury"* (aintitcoolnews.com) - you can get more details on this blog post:
http://glowinthedarkradio.blogspot.com/2011/10/artists-needed-for-two-new-projects.html
*the reviews were kind last year - crazy names, huh? :)
Meisha, the artist for much of issue one, is constrained by time and so can only do a short for this issue. So I'm looking for the right new artist to join the team. There's more info about the character and his books at http://alibijones.com
Are you an artist? Would you like to join the world of Alibi Jones? We're putting together the 2nd issue of The Adventures of Alibi Jones for Earthbound Comics. Issue one was pretty well received - here are a couple of reviews:
http://www.geeksofdoom.com/2011/12/28/comic-review-the-adventures-of-alibi-jones/
http://www.comicbooktherapy.com/review-alibi-jones-luoma-friends/
Lead artist Meisha from issue one has committed to a short story for #2, but time constraints prevent him from taking on the main feature of the book. I need to find a new artist to step in for the 21 - page story Alibi Jones: Vacation - Alibi and his girlfriend Katie head to the planet Paradise, but instead of finding R&R they discover a coup going down! It's science fiction, but most of the action takes place planetside. There's lots of people running around with guns...
Intrigued? Maybe we can work together.
You can see Meisha's interpretation of the character at http://alibijones.com, to give you some idea of where we're starting from. While book one was black and white, book two will be in color. I'd love to find an artist who can deliver colored pages. I'd like to be thinner and younger, too... can't always get what you want, Jagger said. So I'm open to pencilers and penciler/inkers, too.
Earthbound Comics is a small company headed by Ben Ferrari. I've been the production manager for just over a year. For compensation Earthbound usually provides a print comp to each member of the creative team and copies at cost to sell on your own. Because I'm doing the production work gratis, Ben also gives me and my teams a percentage of back end profits on our books. As my collaborator on this story, I'll cut you in on a percentage of story ownership and profit depending on your level of contribution. As I'm the writer, the letterer and production guy in one, that pie doesn't get sliced too thin. Which is good, the pies have been small - but they're growing.
Putting that all out here because I like to be transparent about all this. If it sounds workable to you, please get in touch with me - Mike Luoma - at glowinthedarkradio (-at-) gmail (-dot-) com.

I am seeking an artist to do the pencils (and possibly inks and coloring too) for 3 issues of an upcoming comic. There will also be a little bit of character concepting involved as some of the designs are not finalized. The comics will be available both online and in print form, and will be seen at Comic-Con. I am looking for a style that is a little unique, possibly with an asian flair. Please send samples to:

ok y'all i've written a one page 6 panel script for a strip for younger children called 'first class stan the unlucky postman' and i'm going to submit it to the newly launched kid's comic the phoenix. the strip is a tongue in cheek spoof/homage of beano/dandy type stuff, but at the same time if you were a 6 year old reading comics for the first time the joke wouldn't be lost on you. so i'm looking for someone who can/wants to do art in that style. if interested please pm (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=87310) and i'll message you back with my email, etc.
cheers.

Hey guys,
Illbe self publishing my first comic this year, full 22 pages. Art is coming along nicely, but the artist and I agree that a colourist could really bring it to life.
If you think you'd be interested, drop me a private message to hear more :-)

I've put together a synopsis of a series I'm looking to pitch, so if anyone is interested in collaborating on it then drop me a line at c.m.nicholson@gmail.com.
Also, I find putting a synopsis together quite boring, so if anyone has any feedback it'd be great to hear it.
Thanks

May, 1973. Pete Follett wakes. He’s at a political rally being restrained by secret service agents, has a pistol in his hands, a dead senator ahead of him and no idea what’s happening to him.
The interrogating police officers don't care that he claims to have no memory of the assassination; they have 200 hundred witnesses. Then, as they’re moving him to secure custody he’s broken out by a woman who claims she knows why he has no memory.
She’s Anna, a CIA agent and she takes him to a safe house. She explains that the CIA is trialing hypnosis to control human behavior and he has been hypnotized to carry out the assassination.
Anna leaves the safe house hoping to retrieve evidence that will clear Pete’s name. He starts having flashes of memory: of asking the senator to sort out the drug dealers and pimps that are damaging his business, but the senator doesn’t care.
Anna returns after being unable to get the documents. They talk more and she tells him about the project and how they'd needed an anonymous, disaffected individual - one to fit the typical police profile.
Later, Anna leaves him again and Pete has more memory flashes: of following the senator, seeing that he encourages the dealers and pimps and is involved with them in occult practices.
Anna returns to the house panicked, she thinks the FBI are watching her. She tells him to be vigilant and leaves so as not to draw attention to the house.
Pete’s memory flashes get progressively more intense: He remembers planning the hit and the rush of excitement at the prospect of seeing the senator pay for his evil.
Weeks later and Anna has not returned. Pete’s a sleep deprived paranoid mess. Did Anna actually exist? In his mind the memory flashes are real and he believes he’s an angel of retribution against evil forces. Then he spots people watching the house. It’s the FBI. He tries to escape but is caught in the process. Under interrogation he spouts his conspiracy theories. The police have all the evidence they need and lock him up.
Then, we see Anna presenting to her superiors, detailing how they were able to hypnotize a man to carry out the assassination and implant paranoid delusions. Then by spiking his food with LSD a complete breakdown would follow and any knowledge of their involvement would be gone. But, more importantly the police and FBI hunt had provided a diversion for their deeper, more sinister mission.
Hi,
Im my co-creator and I are looking for a letterer for a comic we're looking to pitch. Its a 5-page pitch with 4 pages completed with the 5th hopefully completed by the time you read this. If you're interested Id love to hear from you: c.m.nicholson@gmail.com

Hi guys,
I'm a colourist as a hobby, you can view my work either here http://thwippingboys.wordpress.com/2012/01/12/simons-comic-art-colouring-a-time-lapse-video/ or at http://tatious316.deviantart.com and I'm basically just looking to try out colouring on an independent comic or something.
So, I'm either looking to see whether anyone requires a colourist on their book, or to see if theres anywhere I can find decent resolution inked pages for a full comic I can work on to test my skills in terms of a full comic and help my portfolio.

super rick,
Was just looking at your art and it's very much my kind of thing. I have a few scripts for short strips, a bunch of anthology stories and a one shot - all being humorous, (loose) homages to old fashioned British comics. I'd be happy to send you samples and any info you have around page rates etc. I'd be happy to hear.
You can email me at thatpoorsweetboy@hotmail.co.uk
Hope to hear from you,

Hi,
I run a webcomic and I'm looking for someone to help with colors. Thanks.

I am seeking an artist to collaborate on a 10 page submission package. I am offering a $300 compensation upon completed work (Payment plan negotiable, like half after 5 pages). The genre is science fiction and the story takes place after Earth has lost the war against an alien invasion. The book is called Alien Space Bats and includes: Nazis, time travel, and conspiracy theories, all centered around our main group of survivors.
Interested? Shoot me an email at pazuppardo2@gmail.com with any questions and some samples of your work.
As I mentioned, I hope to submit to every indie publisher out there, so your name will of course be put on everything!

Hi,
My name is Nathan Sealey and I am looking to start a career in the comic book industry. It is hard to land any jobs within this, highly competitive, industry without some past experience so I am doing free commissions.
I will write any genre (except for erotic) and will write about anything! I will be writing in comic book script format. If you want to ask any questions or would like to commission me email me at:
hardaura@hotmail.com
Hi,
I am looking for an artist to do a double page spread for an idea I have. This spread will go in my Kapow! Comic Con portfolio submission. All the submissions will be reviewed by Marvel talent scout C.B. Cebulski, Image Comics publisher Eric Stephenson, 2000 AD editor Matt Smith and Titan co-owner Nick Landau.
Your piece will attach to a script I am submitting and you will be fully credited. Because this is only a portfolio piece and my not amount to anything, I will be paying a very small amount (probably around $8.00). Although this first commission is small paying it could open up many more job opportunities from both me and other people within the comic industry.
The idea I am currently developing follows several superheroes who feel that fighting crime doesn't get them a big enough pay check and therefore start taking part in underground fights. All of the competitors in these underground fights have 'powers'.
The piece I would like you to complete is a massive brawl between several of the characters in an urban type environment. I am going to give you a lot of freedom on the piece but do want some specific things in it.
If you are interested email me at hardaura@hotmail.com. In the email you must attach a piece of your artwork. If I like the look of this artwork I will email you back with the specifics for the spread. With this specifics and your creativity I want you to do a pencil sketch of the spread. The best pencil sketch I receive will be inked and coloured by different artists and then attached to my portfolio.
Many Thanks
Nathan

Hey all!
I run a blog called Upstart Projects that focuses on small, independent, and creator-owned creative projects (music, film, comics, books, etc). I'm looking for a few new projects to highlight in the near future, which is where you all come in.
If any writers, artists, etc have any projects they'd like either reviewed or highlighted, I'd love to hear from you. [Note: this is also open to filmmakers, video game designers, musicians, and everyone else, but this is the Artist and Writer board, so...] I'd prefer if it was for a concrete project - a book, a graphic novel, a webcomic, and so on - rather than a general portfolio review or something, but feel free to send a link to whatever you want.
Anyway, shoot me an email at the address below if you're interested. If you want something reviewed and can provide a (preferably electronic) review copy that would be great, but if not we can work something out. There's a link to the blog in my sig if you want to check it out.

I'm looking for an artist and inker to come aboard to do a 6 issue mini series that will be going on submission to Image Comics. I already have a colorist who wants to work on the book.
The book right now is called SNOW. It a crime drama with a slight fairy tale quality to it. Think of the movies Seven and Running Scared for the tone of the book. It's about a girl trying to find her mother's killer after escaping the attack.
If you are interested at all send me some samples and I can send you the script for issue 1 and overall information about what the book is about.

Hey,
I'm in the process of writing a my first proper comic script and at this stage I'm just looking for someone to do some quick sketches of the characters based on descriptions I've written. I'm not too fussy about the style as long as it's not cartoon or anime.
You can just drop me a message on here if you're interested.

I am seeking an artist that can create Fruit Force and turn it into a possible web comic and a printed comic.
The Main Character is Lemon Lass and I want to see drawings of her.
She has good morals and so does the rest of the team.
I am holding an art contest for this comic book to be actually made. I am the writer and creator but I cannot draw.
It would be $150 to start (the contest winner would get that) and then from there we can work something out.
My goal is to get make this a web comic (and have people buy) or better still a printed comic published so that
we could both get paid by them. Below is the link to contest:

Need an artist for these 5 pages to submit your comic pitch to Image (or some other company)?
Need someone commited and fast, to work on your webcomic pages without missing deadlines/updates?
Maybe need a colorist for your project?
Or a concept artist to design characters/items/enviroments for your game?
Need an avatar for your account, logo for your company, banner for your blog, icons for your app, cover for your comic, or something else?
Look no further, you`ve found an artist!
I have done all these things and more, including strips, sketches, fanarts, character sheets, and a long etc. I work in almost any style, from normal western comic style, to manga, cartoony, chibi, sketchy, anything. Id rather not give you a price list, i prefer if you tell me about your budget and your project, and im sure we can work something out
I leave you with a few links and my email adress, and hopefully we can work together in the near future.
Thanks!

Hey aspiring artists of the CBR community!
I'm looking for someone to provide sequential art for, and help develop a creator-owned project that I've been working on for a while now. The project is call; 'The 3,261 Lives of Franklin James Scott,' and I hope to make a 4-6 issue comic series from it, to begin with. The artist would initially be required to; develop character designs, draw approx/ five pages of sequential art and at least one cover. Unfortunately, this is un-paid work to begin with, but if the project gets picked up, it would definitely become paid work, with rates being completely negotiable.
Any interested artists can check out my facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/ChooseWiselyProductions to see my previous / current work, and then can contact me at joshvanreyk@gmail.com and we can talk more.

Hello, my name is Chris Hunter and I am an avid illustrator. My style can range from adult comics to children's storybooks. I am a constant perfectionist and will do whatever it takes to make sure my client is pleased with their product. Here are some current examples of my work:

As you can see, I can do inking and coloring. My lowest rate right now would be $10 per page, but it also depends on the project.

I'm currently working on my own sci-fi graphic novel but I really want to try my hand at writing a superhero book. I posted a thread in the Batman forums asking people for ideas for a fan Batman script, but I figure I'd see if anybody who posts here had any original superheroes they'd be willing to accept someone else writing stories for?
I notice a lot of GREAT hero art on these forums and if anybody is willing to collaborate let me know! I'd love to write you a hero script (or just a story treatment, laying out each act, if you'd rather a more hands on approach to the writing for yourself) for you to draw and get opinions on.
And no, I'm not looking to be compensated. Just a simple credit on your website/blog/comic. No money needed, since I doubt any of us here are making money on our art as it is. Well if you're interested shoot me a message! Thanks a lot!

i'm a senior illustrator at UMASS Dartmouth, working on a graphic novelization of 'Hurricane' by Bob Dylan, the story of boxer Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter's framing and imprisonment for a tripple homicide in 1966.
isn't one comic enough?
no. i really need a secondary project to take my mind off of this school project. as Hurricane is a true story, almost something of a biopic in comic form, there is a somewhat low amount of action. so i'm looking for someone to write a comic where we can have lots of over the top action sequences. i want to draw dinosaurs or monsters or lasers or huge guns or something.
i really only have one requirement for this project. i don't want to do any fan work. i'm looking for something that the two of us would be able to self publish.
attached is an uncolored Adam Strange page i did recently to get my mind off of school.
