Definitely excited about this one. I'm on the fence on the other three aftermath titles - though I like Sturges enough to give Run a shot - but this interview just solidified my excitement for the series. After all, who doesn't want to see Most Excellent Superbat make out with himself?

If there's one writer I'd look to to follow up on a Grant Morrison concept, it's Joe Casey.

Also, finally confirmation on what happened to Velocity.

The cover's nice and pretty, but none of the characters on it look all that Japanese to me.

I like ChrisCross and Casey's a decent writer, so I may give this mini a chance. I'll haveta to see a preview of it first before I can commit to it.

Joe Casey should do an all right job here, you'd having fresh characters who are tailor made for speaking over-dramatically and awkwardly makes it easy enough, since there's very little you can do wrong outside of an uninteresting story.

He's a solid enough writer.

Now, here's hoping we get to see Big Science Action, and here's hoping they add even MORE Japanese super-heroes to it. Tsunami, for starters. Maybe even use 90's Aquaman foe Demon Gate for a villain.

Also ... Midway City returns, that's pretty cool. Original home of the Hawks, Doom Patrol, and according to recent Robinson Superman issues there's a Science Police office there (small one). Supposed to be on the Great Lakes, not terribly far away from Fawcett City, I believe.

Joe Casey with one of Morrison's bestest creations?

Yes please. Super Young Team = uber uber.

I'm excited about this, and I'm going to pick it up, but I have to admit that I'd MUCH rather have a mini about The Great 10, by Rucka and Trautmann or something.

Yay! Also, that interview was hilarious. Casey is perfect for this book too.

...I will never, ever, EVER again bitch, moan, whine or complain about the Forever People again after seeing their supposed replacements.

Mark! Big Bear! Vykin! Serifan! Dreamer! Come back! All is forgiven!!!

This sounds like it's going to have so much awesomeness. I'm definitely looking forward to this.

The thing that bugs me most about this book is that I know it's going to be great, because nobody(1) knows how to weave pop culture into comics like Joe Casey, but the Engrish names, (from what I can tell) this being an Engrish knock-off of Young Justice, and the concept originating from Grant Morrison...simply turns me off. Aside from Joe Casey, there's nothing about this book that's appealing enough make me want to read it.

Why couldn't the universe have just done something right for a change and kept The Intimates going for several years. Now that was a good book!

Punchy 4-eva, yo!

Didn't they get stuck on Earth-51? I could have sworn they were part of that whole Checkmate boom tube debacle...
