so basically Cyrus has some sort of flashback or something, then he is eaten by alligators on a Sunday. On Monday it picks up right where the FoE special left off from with Alan Scott and the Stranger. In order to end the curse forever Grundy must 1). find the weapon that killed him, 2). find his murderer and 3). forgive him.
Alan then goes into the swamp to look for hte murder weapon, then Etrigan fights Grundy and intends to stop him from ending the curse since it was meant to be eternal. they then blow up the Gotham Bridge in their fight.
last few pages show a prisoner transport truck going through Gotham (on the way to Stryker's?) that has Bizarro locked up and unconsious inside.

I loved the art. Felt like a throwback to the old Tales from the Crypt comics, which fits well with Grundy.

I thought this was a fun little issue, i am a sucker for scott kollin's art. I have followed his art ever since i first read geoff john's flash run. where kollins done over 30 issues.
looking forward to seeing how this series progresses.

I'm definitely starting to see how both Grundy and Alan Scott are going to factor into Blackest Night here ...

Really, really bad I thought.
Just nonsensical.

Very nice issue intro to this mini.
I can't wait for the rest of the series, especially in issue #2.

I'll say the this issue and the special beforehand did feel a tad incoherent. I'm mostly sticking around for the art, and because I like all the characters involved, but I have to say that I don't really get what's going on right now, what the sequence of events is, etc.
(I do get that Cyrus Gold has to find and forgive his killer if he wants to break the curse. Sure. That I get. Just not a whole lot else.)

Very nice issue intro to this mini.
Yeah, I enjoyed it too. Lots of intriguing "stuff" going on: Cyrus' flashbacks, Grundy reintegrating himself after being eaten by the alligators, the Biblical opening to the issue, etc. I'm eager to see how all these aspects are brought together.

Nice issue; l Iiked how the angel resembled the Spectre and the fight with the Demon. So how many Bizarro number 1's are currently in the mainstream DC universe? There's this one, the one in Strange Adventures, and the one Emperor Joker created? Should be an interesting battle between these two pasty-faced brawlers.

I thought it was pretty bare myself, but I'll give it an issue or two more to impress me before dropping it. I like how it's playing into Blackest Night, but the story itself didn't do much for me.
Just read it and enjoyed it a lot. Some of it was difficult to piece together though.
At the beginning, what was actually happening between the Spectre and the demon? The Spectre pleads "don't do this, all can be forgiven". Is he pleading to the demon? Then there is an explosion...knocking out the Spectre. He's picked-up in the arms of the demon, who calls him 'brother'..but then leaves him. The demon walks away, there is another explosion...and the demon's head is blown-off?
I don't know a heck of a lot about Solomon Grundy (just read the Wiki)...but I didn't know he was able to transform back to Cyrus Gold? Is this new, or has he always had this transformation ability?
Adding elements of the Hulk into Grundy, like this issue did, seems like it could be a really cool addition to the character, too.

The art was nice, but man, this is kind of a pointless series, isn't it?

I thought this comic was a mess, too much stuff going on, not being pieced together good, just seemed confusing, jumping from one scene to another.
