How was it? I read somewhere that it has something to do with previous Starlin DC creations like Hardcore station & The weird. So it got my wondering......
Someone in my comic shop mentioned how Starlin is recycling ideas from the Rann-Thanagar war stories.
SO what say you?

Bought it, since it's short stories I'm saving it until a few issues are out so I can get a decent amount of reading in one swing.

Surprisingly good, and I was caught totally off guard by the back-up of sorts centering around the so-called "Aberrant Six." If I'm reading it right, it looks like Bizarro just took Hawkman's place, and everyone who hated the Hawkman Special from August just got their wish. Going to have to wait until a few more issues come out to be sure, but that certainly seems to be the case right now, anyway.
As for the issue itself, like I said, it was good. Starlin's dialogue seems a bit forced at times, but overall I enjoy his more style of storytelling. Adam Strange is also a favorite of mine, so I'm probably somewhat biased going in. Plus, the concept of New Rann is a pretty intriguing one for the time being, I think. I'll probably stay on board for the long haul now, or if the next couple of issues bore me, at least until Hawkman's part in the Aberrant Six becomes a bit clearer.

I'm a sucker for Starlin, so I got this and plan to get the entire series. Better than Holy War was, although not much happens here. It seems more about establishing the status quo and lacks a clear direction. Did enjoy the Bizarro story, though... even the Forrest Gump gag relating to Hawkman.

I liked it. It is a follow up of Holy War with the people of Rann settling on Throneworld after Ranns destruction. You get most of the same characters from the Holy War mini such as Adam Stange, Comet, Bizzaro, Weird, Prince Gayvn, and mentions of Tigor from the Omega Men.

I picked it up but have not read it fully yet. I'll post my thoughts later. The art looks cool so far.

Is this a mini or an ongoing?

I want to read it, but have decided to wait for the inevitable trade paperback edition.

So far it seems worse than Mystery in Space, which I really liked, but better than Rann Thanagar which was pretty hard to follow. Still don't care for the Aberrant Six concept though.

I've just read the first issue today. I would say that yes, so far, it's not yet Mystery in Space but seemingly better than Holy War.
And I am with you on the Aberrant Six as well. I hope Starlin "get's to it" early in this mini series, as far as the Six are concerned.

Adam Strange rules. Unfortunately he is usually overshadowed when involved with DC heroes massive crossovers. A lot has happened to him and his since Countdown. I am not familiar with this Dark Zone he is looking for but he looks good in this 8 issue series so far.
