I just watched the new DVD with Wonder Woman and saw how they made it newer.
But, at the time of WWII she could have had a British pilot crash on her island. I think it'd be cool to see how she would look and if she would become a James Bond girl of sorts.....Agent W7 (double-u-seven).
Perhaps she would have a lion symbol on her torso ;)

It would be a delightful experience for Diana, until he dumps her for some hussy named Pussy Galore.

Three Lions are very much a symbol of Britain, going back to the early Kings of England (William the Conquerer, Richard the Lionheart). It's on the Coat of Arms.
...Someone call Terry Jones, Michael Palin or Eric Idle and let them know they can do a one-up on John Cleese with this idea. Imagine Diana dressed not as Wonder Woman, but as a Pepperpot!

Incidentally, the movie's line about Wonder Woman adopting the host country's colors as a custom signifying peaceful intentions--is that in canon? If not, it should be. The star-spangled panties make sooo much more sense.

That's the story of pre-crisis Wonder Woman.
Post-crisis Wonder Woman, there was a female pilot named Diana that crash landed on Themyscira and helped out the Amazons as the underworld was about to burst open, sacrificing her life in the process. In honor of her, Diana was named after her, and given symbols that they found on her uniform.

It wouldn't be that difficult to put WW in a Union Jack bathing suit.

No way a woman named Princess Diana could ever be popular in the UK
