Simple, really. There's an exclusive comic called They That Go Down to the Sea in Ships. Where can I get my hands on it? A torrent won't work as I don't have a computer at the moment on which to install anything. I don't mind buying it (and would prefer to buy it in fact) if I could find the cottonpicking thing for sell anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

No worries, I actually just found one on ebay for fairly cheap and signed by Mignola at that! On a side note, though, it might be useful to put down where this comic is available for anybody else looking for it. It's hard to find it listed on ebay. I finally typed "Hellboy Konami" into the search box and found a few copies for sell, but it wouldn't come up any other way I tried. Also, are there any other exclusive comics like this floating around out there?

There are consistently a few copies on eBay. That's how I got mine.
It was exclusive with a game so the secondary market is your only source short of buying the game as far as I can gather.

I have a friend whose boyfriend is a manager at a Game Stop and he said that when the Hellboy video game came out last year and flopped that they had whole boxes of that comic laying around and eventually some of the employees just took them home.
He told me that they may still have some copies around and said he would look for one for me. I hope he finds me one.

I guess this has kind of been answered, but I was looking for more info on it and I happened across this link.

It looks like it's from somewhere on Amazon, which makes me think it was offered for free at some point. It's great if someone is just interested in reading it, though it seems copies aren't really that rare.
Also, if this doesn't seem kosher then go ahead and delete this post (I don't mean to be complicit in the act of trading stolen comics).

WOW!!! Thank you ever so much unrama21 for the link. That story was amazing! Hellboy vs. Blackbeard!!! I mean I knew that was what the story was about, but actually seeing it - amazing!!! This is definitely one of the best Hellboy comics I’ve ever read. And Jason Shawn Alexander’s art really comes through here – I don’t care if you like his work in The Drowning or not (I do) but you have to give credit where credit is due and its due here. And it doesn’t hurt that the whole thing goes down in my own home state of North Carolina either. Again, great story!!!

Yea, this is part of my problem also. I have no interest whatsoever in buying a crappy game (I've read it's beyond dreadful), Hellboy or not, but I do really want that comic.

I get a message that says "The file is damaged and could not be repaired".
Oh well, some day I'll see this story.

There were others on this board that were unable to see this comic through the link also, I scanned it(the comic) and emailed it to those that wanted to read it.
If interested I can help. I beleive also that this story will be collected in a trade.
Edit:I was actually able to print out all the pages, Cool, it still bugs me why I had to hunt down ebay and I bought the game from game stop no less.

Well, I was going to offer to scan it once I got it for anyone who wanted to see it, but if someone has already done so, that's great.
Is it just me or this rather frustrating? I appreciate the idea of exclusives, but so long as this remains uncollected its very irksome. I don't live anywhere near NY and I didn't even start reading Hellboy comics until around November so how could I possibly have known to get my hands on an exclusive when it first came out? If they collect it, that's fine, but for fan's like me who just want the story and don't care what form it's in, it's a little frustrating to have to track down an original copy. I bet they do collect it and I should stop bellyaching because even if they do, I guess I can flaunt my original and signed copy.

Even through it was only co-written by Mignola it is still an official in-universe Hellboy story and as such will be in the next short story collection trade paperback.
...which has already got a lot of material in a short amount of time! This comic, The Mole, Moloch, 3 issues of The Crooked Man, and there is always an extra original story.
