what characters who have been dead/in limbo that you wish would come back in some form? (zombie, magical unicorn, flashback, robot, retcon, etc. I don't realy care)

anyways I'd have liked it if Aztek would have had more adventures

Ignoring your 7 years criteria because that is just a bit too strict for me...

Basically, I want a strong return of Morrison characters. The Key, Prometheus (upcoming, I know), Aztek, Zauriel (he's here and there, but a little more focus would be nice), all the Seven Soldiers characters, and The Great 10.

Most especially I'd like to see more "Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE", Aztek, Great 10 and "Shining Knight".

Mouse and Giz. I dunno, I just thought they were cute. It's nice to see an actual, functional supervillain couple, and both of them are such essentially gentle, peace-loving souls. Of course, given the current climate at DC, that probably means they'd only be brought back to be brutally killed.

Who else? Hmmm...the Psyba-Rats, maybe? Yeah, you'd probably have to change their team name ("cyber"-anything is so painfully '90s), but I rather liked Razorsharp's "I'm a crazy bitch with liquid-metal limbs and I don't give a damn who knows it" attitude. And, given their M.O. (stealing information for hire), they might make interesting antagonists for the Calculator.

Joe Simon's two most utterly insane creations: Brother Power the Geek, and Prez Rickard. These two need to make a comeback.

Add to the aforementioned list of Morrison characters it'd be good to see again: Crazy Jane and Danny the World.

Infinity Inc. - I loved them! Huntress, Jade, Obsidian, Fury, they had it all! I do realize they just appeared in Justice Society of America as Justice Society Infinity, but I want an ongoing! Earth-2 needs more love!

New Doom Patrol- I do love Elastigirl, Robotman, Negative Man, Beast Boy, and Mento. But I most certainly wouldn't mind Celsius, Negative Woman, and Joshua Clay tagging alongside!

Forever People- The original hippie loving characters! I am just awaiting for the day that these phonies from Final Crisis disappear. Give me Beautiful Dreamer.

I believe that is all team-wise. I am still thinking of all the characters I want back in the DC Universe.

I would have to say:

BREACH!
Zaurial-- written well, and not like a tool.
Red Tornado- as an actual character, not a lame computer program
Resurrection Man
Azrael
Firestorm(Ronnie Raymond)
Primal Force

Damiean Dark

Lobo was an awesome character, really original and weird, (a rarity at DC imo) DC should have pushed him better but typical of them the chickened out a few crappy appearances and then nothing.

Bring him back with a storyline and feel similer to Marvels Incredible Herc would be awes0me.

Yes!

Another obscure one I just remembered: Det. Marisa Rahm, the pre-operative transsexual cop from the Milestone mini, Deathwish. She kicked all ass, and now that Milestone's been absorbed into DCU continuity, it'd be fantastic to see her again (especially since the character's creator, Maddie Blaustein, tragically died a few months ago; might be a nice tribute, y'know?).

Heh, I'd like to see the Psyba-Rats back too. The first comic I ever read was Robin Annual #2 (their first appearance), so I'll always have a special fondness for the Psyba-Rats in all their eXtreme 90s glory.

I'd really like it if somehow Longshadow from the JLU Animated universe could be introduced into the mainstream DC Verse by a talented writer. Nice guy, growing powers aren't THAT common in the DC on the side of the heroes, and a heck of a lot more three dimensional than the Superfriends cartoon character he was based on.

H.E.L.I.X -- my favourite team ever. With Mr. Bones at DEO, I imagined they'd show up... i'd love it if they became the darker side of checkmate or whatever other gov. agency. I really loved baby boom and tao jones.

Amethyst and the gem world -- imagine an updated version.. you could really do stuff with this title now, with the new age of magic in the dcu...or link it to the rainbow wars in green lantern somehow.

Major Bummer, and his cast of wonderful characters.

OMG! Amethyst! I freaking loved that book when I was a kid. I'd also love to see Captain Carrot back in a book. Ditto for All-Star Squadron (probably one of my favorite teams ever).

First and foremost: the android Hourman. Loved the character in the pages of JLA, his own series, and JSA. Sadly, I don't imagine him coming back anytime soon now that Booster Gold has cornered the market on time traveling heroes.

I would also love to see the Power Company come back, but only in the hands of Kurt Bukiek.

It would be great to see the Ray featured more prominately somewhere.

IMHO, Tyler would be a great addition to Booster's supporting cast. I have a feeling their differing personalities would play well off each other.

I was going to say "Bill the Coroner", but lo and behold, opened up Gotham Gazette the other day and there he was, still working late nights over at the Kane County Morgue and knowing all the Homicide cops personally like Bullock and Harper.

I guess ... Amos Fortune.

Because nobody's done anything good with the Royal Flush Gang since they were invented ... and they're a cool idea for a super-human organized crime element and have a completely different vibe than your Kobras or Crime Bible Cults.

i'd like to see Kon-el again.... NOT as a Black Lantern :)

Then GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

he is back or will be shortly and not as a Black Lantern..
The Omen page is a red herring, because Scar said she wanted him, but he is not shown to be a Black Lantern, then there is Starmans mission, and the fact that he (living in Opal City, Working with the JSA in New York) took a job as an undertaker in Metropolis!

I'm almost positive that Starmans mission is to resurrect Kon prior to Blackest Night to prevent him from falling into the wrong hands, and I bet he is also supposed to bring back Kal-L but fails or something.

I'd like to see a return of the Darkstars Ferrin Colos, Chaser Bron and Munchuk. With all the attention the DCU space characters are getting in GL/GLC, R.E.B.E.L.S. and STRANGE ADVENTURES, now would be the perfect time. Not to mention the return of the Controllers.

I'd also like to see Grayven return. I always thought he had a ton of potential as a villain.

I'd like to see the New Gods again....

:frown:This would normally be my response as far as DC characters are concerned, but I think it's time to let the concept rest.

I'll chime in with the people who're mentioning the Seven Soldiers characters. That's the last non-Vertigo thing from DC I've read and thought was really well done, and I'd like to see Morrison given the chance to do a Frankenstein series especially. But really any of the Seven Soldiers apart from Mister Miracle. The Phantom Stranger as well. Always liked everything about that character and I loved the way Morrison wrote his dialogue in that cameo appearance in Zatanna.

Sparx - loved the little Canadian dynamo! She needs to come and kick Livewire's ass for stealing her costume!
Hawk & Dove - Hank Hall and Dawn Granger had the BEST chemistry ever in comic books
Mas y Menos - I loved them in the Teen Titans cartoon and since entering the DCU proper, they have hardly ever appeared!
Anima - Courtney deserves better than being cut in half by Prometheus
White Lotus - The girl had the coolest name: Nona Lin!
Redwing - loved her!
Maya - she needs to join the Teen Titans!
Kole - who doesn't love sparkly crystals?
Firestorm - while I like Jason Rusch, I LOVE Ronnie Raymond! Bring back the original!
Firehawk - She has such a great look! She should join the Titans!
Young Heroes in Love - loved this title
Major Bummer - what a great series!
Bruce Wayne - I know they just killed him, but I think it was a mistake
Jade - what a waste...:frown:
Infinity Inc - I loved them all and it would be great to see the team again
Skyrocket - DC's amalgamation of Capt. America and Iron Man needs more exposure!
Power Company - loved it. DC needs to let Kurt Busiek write a new series.
